  1. When asked about AB’s play and QBing in general, paraphrasing what Cristobal said is ......it starts and ends with how you run the offense. Making sure everyone knows what the play is. On passes, the protection that goes with that play, and the route structure that goes with it. In comparing AB with “The Others”, they have done well in practice, it's just not near the level of AB. With AB leading the offense, the Ducks are second in the country in turnovers committed, 2; and scores points 91% percent of the time they the red zone (TDs at 74%) 18th nationally. So, are we better off with the better QB now and let The Others battle it out in practice; or, battle test the others at the sacrifice of this season? It's hard on us fans as we see somewhat sub-par QB play, but at the present, we evidently don't have anything better to throw out there.
  2. Nothing against Dye, but I would love to see all freshman backfield at some point in the Cal game.
  3. Without media at practices, we'll never know how close the other 3 are to AB. Too bad, Cal is the perfect set up to try someone new in the first half, and it that doesn't work, someone else in the second half, since we seem to already know what we have in Brown, and it ain't special.
  4. I'm with all of the above. Hopefully #1 will lead to 3, 5 & 6.
  5. I think the line play has to do with youth. I think there was only 1 start amongst the O-line last year and last year really did not exist in regard to playing games with the Pac pathetic late start and shortened season. The D-line has more experience, but again these guys are really just in their 4th game as a unit. Granted, they have seemed to have played down in 3 of 4 games, but maybe they are who they are in those 3 games and played up in 1.
  6. Although the press/outsiders are not allowed to view practices, if the QB competition is close, then I am hoping Cristobal and Moorehead have seen enough of average at best QB play and give Ty the start and the first half vs Cal. If he fails, then give AB or Butterfield the second half. This is the perfect opportunity to show head coach leadership. Plus AB admitted how bad he played, so a change shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to him. 0 Reply
  7. Once again, the perfect storm on a cloudless day down on the farm. I agree, time for new blood at QB. a sixth year QB: 1) shouldn't be missing also most every long ball and where are the vertical calls? 2) mis-reading the D and getting stuffed at the goal line when Verdell would have walked in. 3) consistently throwing behind receivers over the middle. With Moorehead, I think we win, but I still want to see more of a vertical game. Big time WR recruits must be re thinking their decisions. But, we did have our Defensive coordinator, at least I think we did or was he on chicken soup duty for Moorehead? The silver lining, uw can't pin the first L on us!
  8. Ducks 40, Stanford 17, 2, 3, 234
  9. Best of both worlds, OSU wins and uw keeps muttlake for at least 2 more years. Their AD won't admit her mistake this early in her or his tenure.
  10. Yes, and the Ducks now have the top 2 players from AZ, amazing considering the play and coaching at UA.
  11. So today the Duck men won more NCAA National Championship that uw in their entire history!!!
  12. I think this was a great result, now they can think back to their last game where they failed to show up when they enter the NCAAs
  13. I like the prediction, but I don't see a Duck win. Beavs off a big U$C win, Ducks down 2 starters without a deep bench.
  14. Darren, nicely done. Of course, the end of the Pac 12 as we know it right now, might not be a bad thing!
  15. Flush, rinse and repeat, until the handle falls off!!!!
