  1. I'm going to disagree on this one. I think he has done a good job all around. As you know, there are a lot of sports that he is in charge of and although football is the cash cow, he seems to have hit home runs in some of his other hires.
  2. Let's hope he is. In regard to coaching commitments, eventually very few leave on their own terms.
  3. Longest 9 months of our lives coming up.
  4. Who are they going to get, Lanning sewed up all the good assistants.
  5. I'd say they did better than the Chumps er Champs from the Pac 12, Big 10, ACC, or and let's now throw in Big 10.
  6. Good news for whomever is behind Alex. Oregon Ducks offensive lineman Ryan Walk returning in 2022 - oregonlive.com
  7. After he leaves, Oregon needs to announce a team award named after both Travis and Troy Dye that has to do with leaving it all out on the field.
  8. I'm not on board with that. Next thing they'll want poles in the locker room.
  9. Plus, both teams get a win. But the bigger question remains . . . . Do they then have to kiss their sister? "NC State did get a trophy for the bowl game and the contest will count as a win in the school’s record books, at least." College Football Head Coach Blasts NCAA, ‘No Clue At All’ (msn.com)
  10. 51 - 49 Ducks in OT, not sure how many. 2 TOs 1 sack 165 yds Happy New Year to all and thank you in advance for hoping I get my second win of the year.
  11. As a former attorney, I advise you to round up and retire earlier than me!
  12. Ouch, gonna need therapy to remove that image.
  13. Remember when everyone wanted him to take the Florida gig so he wouldn't be back in the Pac 12 as an opponent. That actually worked out pretty well.
  14. I agree with the above that even a 5 figure NIL for the bowl game would not get KT or any other potential top pick out of bed. Oh, and that rabbit hole, we have been looking up ever since the BCS was formed. Emmert took us so deep that we can't even see daylight above.
  15. Give him jiggle, his contact info is above in Log Haulin's post.
  16. I'd give him the first Qtr period as a reward for his efforts this year. Then bring in the future regardless.
  17. Agreed, except Feb might be a pleasant sneak peck with who might be saved from MC's class, who we can steal from Georgia, and what the newbie coaches bring
  18. Appreciate your thoughts. I'll put a good non-coal word in for you with Santa for next year.
  19. "Sure, Cristobal was one of the more impactful figures in recent memory for the Ducks, and his individual skill set can’t be replicated." Yes, Mario was impactful and he did leave the program better than he found it for which I am happy. So, I'm assuming the "skill set" you are referring to is recruiting. Otherwise, the only other skill set of his we want to keep is his work ethic (the non-I'm-outta-of-here ethic). I think we'll know in early February how good Lanning is at trying to duplicate the recruiting success and if he can, then we won't miss MC at all. However, I am pessimistic about both a good game out of the Ducks and a W as I'm afraid we will see another Utonian effort. I can only hope OU duplicates that type of effort, then we'll have a game.
  20. I guess they thought San Diego was "the woods".
  21. Holy crap, we have a game tomorrow!
  22. And, flashing three Super Bowl rings in living rooms can't hurt!
