Oregon vs. USC GameDay Thread: Join Us!
Steven A replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Just said in Oregon and So Cal, they will change to the game. Here in Nor Cal supposed to be on fox business, but not seeing it. -
I am rooting for ewe dub. My rationalization . . . If they win out till the rematch, WHEN we beat them in the CShip game, that will be a much bigger pill for them to swallow with us being the team that spoiled their undefeated season AND kept them out of the playoffs AND put us in the playoffs. It doesn't get any sweeter than that.

Harbaugh Suspended for the Rest of the Big Schedule
Steven A replied to Steven A's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Probably not going to happen as NCAA lost their polygrip decades ago and no double jeopardy in the BIG now that "the hammer" has dropped. -
How is your career choice 401K doing?

Personally, I don't think him not on the sidelines is a big deal at all. This is a cop-out so they don't get a bowl ban in the future. Sorry I can't get my computer to properly link the link. MSN WWW.MSN.COM

Ducks 59 - 20 3 TOs 4 sacks 333 passing yards Tie breaker #4: Number of weeks sc has off before "their" conference championship game. I’m going with 314, 54 weeks until the BIG game next year plus 5 years. However, they will have extra practice time before the ucla game since they won't have film study again this week. Too bad this isn’t an away game where we are limited to the number of players traveling so that we could leave Luke Dunne at home and make room for another player. GO DUCKS, keep me up till midnight watching Charles' 70 burger.

Greg McElroy Was TRIGGERED By...Oregon??
Steven A replied to CjAllen180's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Then FSU or 'Bama might have a problem: 'Bama eliminates Georgia, Ohio St or Michigan eliminate the other, Ducks take out ewe dub. So, the top 5 will be FSU, Ducks, Texas (which has a H2H over) 'Bama and the winner of the Ohio St and non-Pittsburgh Steelers game. -
My Oregon Football Fantasy: Can We Hold This Moment?
Steven A replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The "committee" is already giving us the style points that we deserve. Now is the time to put 50+ on sc while holding them under 35, for a head to head comparison to ewe dub. Then, hopefully, we look at the Utah score and see a competitive game. -

The Deja Vu Ducks are Once Again Perched at 8-1
Steven A replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I think he has one left in him after us, ucla. Then walking the sidelines in El Paso for his "last college" game. -
I remember when a guy who went by LaMike was praised on the scout team. Hopefully, a few on them on board.

The Deja Vu Ducks are Once Again Perched at 8-1
Steven A replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Winning out. These aren't our father's Oldsmobiles. These Ducks are built different from any others we have seen. Vs usc, I see a Colorado type start and then a thoroughly demoralized sc in the second half with Williams being pulled down 3 scores in the 4th. ASU, no problem. THE OSU, not the tOSU we will face next year and beyond, our Uiagalelei will usher in a CW victory. Then on to Vegas where the current Ducks - 6.5 will be just like the game in Utah. Just saying, no prejudice. -
Bill Hancock out. Revenue sharing. New TV deal. Pac 2 status. Change is coming to the College Football Playoff SPORTS.YAHOO.COM With decisions to be made on an expansion format, a new CFP director, revenue sharing and a new TV deal, there's plenty at stake as college football's power brokers meet in Chicago on Thursday.

It will be interesting "who" Cindy Lou Riley will hire to replace his Grinch. -

BREAKING: USC Defensive Coordinator Alex Grinch Fired
Steven A replied to Joe F's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Per Riley after last year . . . "I've been through it enough with that guy to know, don't bet against him. Anybody in a situation like this where we know we need to take a big jump in all areas, and we need to be better as coaches. We need to be better as players. We need to own the things that we did well. We need to own and fix the things we didn't do well," said Riley last year. "I just know what he's made of. I just do. And I know what's getting ready to happen defensively. And so, I just have a confidence and a belief, and not just Alex, but the other guys in the room. I believe in the quality of people that we have in there." This on their way to the worst scoring D in school history! Can you hear the collective groans from the BIG? -
BREAKING: USC Defensive Coordinator Alex Grinch Fired
Steven A replied to Joe F's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
It will be interesting and probably easier for Bo to read this new D. With Grinch, the way the players lined up had nothing to do with their assignments. At least now he may be able to guess what they are supposed to be doing. -

Week too soon -
OUCH! Gotta love this espn quote after Johson ran for 199 yards before first contact "We'd say it would be hard for a back to do that against 11 traffic cones, but that comparison might be giving usc's defense too much credit".

Hey, give Grinch a break . . . He didn't miss a single tackle, he didn't miss a single assignment, and he didn't line up in the wrong zip code. He is merely the architect of such plans.

Carrying a full offensive load and your defense on your back for 3 quarters will do that to you.
