  1. Thank goodness that was prior to my electric shock therapy and it doesn’t ring a bell!
  2. Seems Malachi Nelson is off to greener pastures. Has Riley's shine worn off? MSN WWW.MSN.COM
  3. I think Penix is much harder to replace than Bo. I don't think I have seen a better pocket passer with some rollout skills in college in years. Bo in Stein's offense will be an easier replacement. I think Rogers will be a few rungs lower than Gabriel in regard to replacement parts. P.S. Can we refer to it as a Penix transplant instead of replacement?
  4. To all players entering the portal, I wish you luck and good fortune wherever you land outside of Montlake.
  5. Probably three years running. Let's see ... 1) Calls a time out before the first play of the year. 2) Hands off instead of taking a knee against Stanford. 3) Hands off this year instead of taking a knee. The guy is consistent if nothing else.
  6. Geez, it only took another loss in Court for them to act. It now gets a lot wilder for all. MSN WWW.MSN.COM
  7. Yes, it was good strategy. But I think he only put it in play when DJ showed some warts a few games in.
  8. Was he given a fair shot. I think so, but I wasn't at practice. This last year when he saw action, he had more of a playbook to use. Two years ago, he didn't and didn't seem ready. Of course, he would have had to be VERY special to have beaten out a Heisman finalist. Possibly the same next year. In developing QB talent, the HS players coming in have to think they are the next big thing. If they don't have that attitude, then they weren't going to be. I guess in two years when Akili Smith Jr. arrives, we may see.
  9. Probably not viable: 1) Liabilities don't exceed assets. That is why there is a fight for control. 2) Who has the power to declare. This is main issue No, 1A, who is in charge. 3) Who gets excess after liabilities paid. This is main issue No, 1B.
  10. I agree with holding up the distribution. The demise of the Pac was a group effort, and until all the crap is ironed out, no need to give out money that may need to be repaid. This is a typical bifurcated divorce . . . status of Pac has been decided, now it is just a property settlement. As they say or ask, "why are divorces expensive? Because they are worth it!" And in the long run, it will be. Besides, once all the liabilities are taken care of, then the attorneys will get what is left so why worry.
  11. Without Nix and without Penix, how different would DeDoer and Lanning be viewed? Generational QB play can mask a lot of warts. Time will tell.
  12. Jon Wilner continues his reporting, The usual 15% December distribution has been withheld. MSN WWW.MSN.COM
  13. Washington at 13 with the Ducks at 4??? MSN WWW.MSN.COM Not sure what universe these rating are from.
  14. This is a GREAT interview and props for Coach Lanning.
  15. Charles, did you have to lie to them as well as banning them?
  16. Seven States are suing the NCAA to do away with the one-year ineligibility rule. MSN WWW.MSN.COM
  17. 24/7 Is reporting “He told 247Sports director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong after that official visit to Boulder that the Ducks and the Buffs are neck-and-neck. If there were betting odds on prospects, I think McCroy to Colorado was probably plus money. Now it’s maybe shifting closer to even. No bueno if it were to happen.
  18. This is great. He wouldn't start here, he is no Sewell, but will at CU. So, he can cash his checks, get experience being run around, and hit the portal.
  19. Too bad come game day a majority of the fans will either be wearing their invisible suits or their empty seat costumes.
  20. Thanks for your take, David. Since my grandkids are all older than your daughter, I probably have a shorter disappointment curve than you. This is probably due to the fact that I have lived through more Duck disappointments. Yes, there was so much hope for this team. I chatted with Charles that I thought this might be the best all-around team ever fielded. So, as you implied, not playing up to their potential sucked and hurt. My funk is still lingering but wasn't as deep as in the past. I did not watch any games Saturday either; I just checked my espn app periodically for scores. After a Duck loss, I take solace when other people's teams screw-up and lose so that they can feel what I am feeling. Now, I will be on edge until ewe dub loses. I can't even bring myself to think they might not.
