Good point. It seems like traditions may need to be on the back burner when moving forward. A huge part of tradition is leaving in the form of USC/UCLA. Maybe it's time for the Pac to reinvent itself.

P12 needs to be proactive vs reactive. It's time for the P12 to take a page from Oregon's playbook and be the trend setter.

What Are Your REALISTIC Expectations for Next Year?
GODUCKS15 replied to cartm25's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Let down season. 9-3 missing the P12 champ game. Losses to UW, Ore St and USC. Need to see some improvement on D before I go 10-2. No P12 team makes the CFP. On the plus side I'm usually wrong. -
Streaming Games: Rough Waters or Gently Down the Stream?
GODUCKS15 replied to Jon Joseph's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I don't switch back and forth. I usually just watch a movie or TV series on Amazon or Netflix straight through. Maybe some Pandora once in a while. Then go back to Dish and use the DVR to watch recorded shows. However if I were watching Thur night football and wanted to switch back to Dish all I have to do is hit the power button on my Dish remote and goes to the last channel live. To back from there to Amazon I hit the Prime button on the LG remote and it goes back to the last show in resume mode. Pretty basic. I've had zero issues with Comcast internet. Dish has given me a few fits now and then but their customer service IMO is pretty good. Hardly any wait time when calling about an issue. -
Streaming Games: Rough Waters or Gently Down the Stream?
GODUCKS15 replied to Jon Joseph's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I have Comcast internet and an LG OLED TV with built in apps for Amazon and Netflix. I have zero buffering. Previously I used an Amazon Fire stick and a 7 year old not all that smart TV and got buffering on occasion. Not enough to ruin the day but it became annoying sometimes. It also took much longer for either of those apps to start up. Also any pausing of the program would cause the lips and sound to fall out of sync. That has not happened once with the new LG smart TV. I will also add that the picture is phenomenal. -
I don't see much different from the NFL Paid to play. NIL Free agency. Portal Getting cut. Derecruitment.

What Do YOU Think of Coach Lanning's Tattoo?
GODUCKS15 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Not sure what the big deal is. It's not a full length arm tattoo or big neck tattoo. Looks like a private only a few will ever see tattoo. Anyone that's had cancer or is close to someone that's had cancer understands the seriousness of the disease. I think it's cool that he's showing his wife how much she means to him. -
An Early Look at the Oregon Ducks' 2023 Football Schedule
GODUCKS15 replied to NJDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I see 10 wins this year. I think the Ducks will drop one at UW and one other possibly UT/USC. Should be able to beat the Beavis at home. Game Day when USC comes to town. Can't wait as this season seemed to fly by. -
CFP for Ducks?...Areas of Improvement Needed in 2023
GODUCKS15 replied to Pennsylvania Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Ducks play the Beavis and UCS at Autzen this year. Away at UW and UT.. OOC looks 3-0. 1-2 losses seems possible for in conference. Not sold on a CFP invite yet. It seemed like zero QB pressure this year. That to me is the biggest need for improvement. Williams and Penix are going to give Oregon a tough time. If Rising returns and is healthy that's another tough game. Beaves just signed a decent mobile QB in Uiagalelei. Gotta be able to sack or pressure those QB's and have some lockdown CB's to have a chance. -
Fiesta Bowl Game Thread: Michigan vs. TCU

Lots of game left but I do like how TCU's playing. -
Cheering for Huskies: I Just Can't Do It

I'll root against. With the portal, NFL and coaches leaving I don't think anyone can put much stock in bowl wins and losses. -
December Is Too Busy and Bowl Season Suffers
GODUCKS15 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Bowl games always seemed more for the players than fans. Most fans don't travel to bowl games so to me it's about the players hard work being rewarded. Yes the portal/opt out and coaches leaving has taken the luster out of bowl season. But many times the games are still be fun to watch. It's also important to remember that at the end of the year when the media tally's up the total W/L for each conference that it's probably all a moot point because too many teams are not at full strength. So if your teams conference sucked during bowl season take it with a grain of salt. I'm actually looking forward to the game. I guess that's what happens when you're addicted to Quack. -

Who Fills Out Oregon's QB Room Behind Bo Nix in 2023?
GODUCKS15 replied to Pennsylvania Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I have no reason to feel good about our QB backup at this point. Doubt Card would sit a year when he could start somewhere. Novosad is untested so no upside vs Ty. There's still time for all this to sort itself out but as of now I don't think the ducks are in a good place if Bo gets hurt and misses playing time whether it's one qtr or a whole game. -
SoCal and sunshine. LA vibe. Warm beaches, unlimited night life. Hard to say what would sway an 18 year old from Detroit.
-
Well it was fun while it lasted.
-
Agree. Pure speculation at this point. This move by Moore does reek of prima donna though.
-
Since Bo hasn't said either way if he's going or staying and since he's playing in the Bowl game that would lead one to believe he's staying. Looks like Moore wants to start next year and UCLA is a team that needs a new QB.

I read a lot of forums relating to many different topics. This is by far the most civil of all. It's a joy to come on here and not have to wade through the political or bias viewpoints of a few that seem to take over some of the forums I'm on. Charles, I don't know how you do it but like everyone else here I'm very thankful for all your hard work to keep things civil.
