I love the way you shared this. I would hope that we can set aside our emotions when they begin to our behavior in a negative manner. Sadly collage football has become consumed with the almighty dollar and all that goes with it (example 2). While expecting the fans to maintain its passion and support with patients and compassion. (example 1). I guess you could say it's like having your pie and eating it to. With things around us as crazy as they are it is easy to view life, including OBD, through the lens of frustration, resentment hopelessness. However, choosing to follow OBD for the love of the game, special memories and the hope to for a special moment or season, will lead to a more fulfilling experience and lower blood pressure. I haven't done a good job at this but I'm trying maintain the correct focus and attitude because if I don't I would quit watching or caring about OBD... I don't want to throw that away.

College Football: How Do You Make a Champion?
BigDog replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
What a great way to describe what we have been witnessing the last few years. Thank you for putting this into words that anyone can understand! -
I dont know that we are unhappy that he left but it was the way he left is the big problem... at least for me it is. If you are a person of integrity than say what you mean, mean what you say. Remember, truth may hurt at the moment but it will set you free.

DeRuyter headed to Texas Tech per Oregonlive
BigDog replied to Ktmguy2018's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Wasn't DeRuyter a head coach previously if so isn't it likely that he was told no to the big chair? -
Ducks are getting what they deserve by allowing the coach to not do everything possible to win. I'm sorry, I have supported both Cristobal and Brown this whole season but we are seeing what a QB that can throw is doing to a tired defense. Thus has to stop, 8f one of the freshman quarterbacks are not starting the second half then it's all over.

Ducks Must Regain “The Eye of the Tiger”
BigDog replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Dramatic or not that was a great read. Thank you! -
I wouldn't be disappointed in that if it happened. I do think that he has done a great job of turning things around and will continue the growth we all have witnessed. However should he move on then more power to him... the ducks will overcome, adapt and improvise their way to the top.

Utah GameDay Thread: Is Pursuing the Playoffs a Crock?
BigDog replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I hope Thompson comes in for some experience. It appears that Brown has given up and the receivers have given up on him. -
Utah GameDay Thread: Is Pursuing the Playoffs a Crock?
BigDog replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I really don't think so. I'm all for supporting these young men but the truth hurts... our team isn't that good. Really have a lot of promise and potential but not that good at this point. I believe they have overachieved this year. -

That doesn't mean that it isn't disappointing how things are going at the moment. -

Be calm and enjoy a great group of young men giving their best. They will settle down and take control of the game. If they don't then they were overrated (including the coaches) and will learn (including the coaches) from the experience. -

I think he was in and it's not a fumble. I hope the reffs get this right -

I just don't understand the point of throwing for 1 yard when you need 9 and the receiver is well covered
