I've Been Busting AB's Chops All Year...
I had to wonder if (Franklin?), through past experience, just didn't expect that pass to be thrown, and was caught by surprise.

Two-Back Sets in the Kenny Dillingham Offense
Reminds me, some of OU's o-linemen looked like two guys stuffed into one uni.!

Congrats Young Ducks, and Oklahoma!
And thus endeth the AB paradox, shape shifting, Jekyl and Hyde. His game stats were surprisingly not too bad. Thank goodness there was always TRAVIS DYE. Glad the team showed up for the second half. Here's a toast to the future (raises a glass of The Glenlivet) Yay!

Kickers Deserve Scholarships, Too
I don't know if Josh Bidwell ever had a scholarship, but he sure deserved one. That dude was a beast of a punter, and kept OBD in a few games with great punts when the offense was stagnant. I believe he even made a few TD saving tackles, if memory serves.

Alamo Bowl: Why Joe Moorhead will Never Play a Freshman Quarterback
And that very first pass was a long bomb for a TD!

Mycah Pittman Explains Why He Decided to Transfer.
AB was never mentioned, but I frequently thought I saw open receivers downfield on a lot of pass plays that ultimately ended with AB tucking and running, or checking down to a receiver short of the line to gain. Maybe that was a large part of the problem that wasn't stated? Not so much that there weren't enough passing plays called, but that AB couldn't find his receivers, or hit them when he did see them.

Analysis: Is Dan Lanning an Upgrade from Mario Cristobal?
That's something I really enjoyed about Chip. I thought he had a pretty funny sense of humor.

About 15 steps from the beer fridge mostly!

Grade the Dan Lanning Hire…
I'm excited about this hire. I think he has a ton of upside. His lack of HC experience is somewhat concerning. He seems like a solid character, I like his energy. I think it will be reflected on the field. My grade? I'll give him a B for now. Great OC and DC will raise it to an A.

Lanning? A HUGE Gamble.
I like what I've seen so far. (Not much!) After watching the video linked, did anyone else think he sorta looks like a bulldog?
-
Feldman and Canzano are saying the AJC article is correct and Lanning will be hired as HC
This will NEVER get old!

Rogue Ales Hazelnut Brown Nectar is another great dark beer.

It's BACK! Red Chair Baby!
When I have to buy beer at the store I like Laurelwood Free Range Red, and recently discovered Caldera Ashland Amber. But the best beer of all is my own homebrew, a sort of clone of McMennamin's Hammerhead. Mine is a little darker in color and slightly less hoppy. I call it "Homerhead", and oh, baby... it's soooo good! 🤪

Matt Prehm's latest update on coaching search: 5 pm Dec. 7
I like Aranda best of all the names I've heard floated. Lots of youthful energy, recent success, recruiting ties to So. Cal and Texas, defensive minded. Seems like solid character, and we already know he looks good in green and yellow!

Excuse Me While I Laugh ...
Earthquake Bill Enyart, former Medford Black Tornado, my alma mater! I grew up next door to Coach Speigelberg, and must admit I was a Beaver fan back then. Played front yard football with Scott and Barry.

I not sure exactly why, but hiring Kiffin feels to me like selling your soul for a natty.

Cam Rising must be about 35 judging by the looks of his hairline.

Oregon AD Rob Mullens Unhappy with Miami: "Never Contacted"
In this day and age of college football every AD should have a prepared list of HC candidates ready at the end of any successful season, because you know somebody is coming after yours.

Let's Just Take Miami's Money and Move on.
I was remembering when Oregon hired Altman, I didn't know who he was or anything about him. For me it was a head scratcher. No ties to the west coast or U of O that I'm aware of and look at the success he's had here. I think he was a home run hire, and I hope Mullen and PK can find someone similar for the football team. I hope (and suspect) they may have started searching three weeks ago.
