I Learned Some Things
Cam’s game saving tackle in the late INT was the play of the game in my opinion. Yes outstanding athleticism on that one.

Oregon's Path to the Playoffs Is Not Far Fetched
Would we have to root for fuskies over Cougs in a he Apple Cup? Yuck yuck yuck! I’d do it I guess but yuck!

Oregon Football: Let’s Pump the Brakes on Trick Plays
Dilly is an offensive genius but I’d suggest a rule that a qb needs to able to get a first down before letting them try a trick play. The ratio of turn overs or lost yardage per TT play is mind boggling.

Ducks Give Away Win to Huskies
Yes the coaches dropped a few balls this week. At least this staff will go over those mistakes and process through them, learn and grow from them. I'd rather have that after a lose than simply blaming it on lack of physicality and nothing changes.

Ducks Give Away Win to Huskies
I think after the D went full Swiss cheese and gave up that 62 yarder in about ten seconds. Lanning didn't trust the D to stop UW from anywhere. With that in mind I think going for it was the safest option but a think I timeout to put Bo back in and set up a good play is the hindsight move that should have happened.

Do We Judge Dan Lanning for This?
TT seems like a nice kid and I wish him good luck in life but out on the field, that's just what he looks like, a nice kid. I haven't seen the slightest spark of competitive fire. I've been a big fan of most of Lanning and Dilly's decisions but I think it's time to move on and give Butterfield a look.

Huskies 'Dis Oregon...With Whimpers
Maybe my favorite Duck moment ever was watching the 94 Husky game in a Seattle bar. As the fuskies marched down the field late in the game, everyone myself included all saw the inevitable Husky victory about to unfold and then Kenny Wheaton sprang into Duck history. The silence in that bar was music to my ears.

Joel Klatt: Oregon Made Scheduling Mistake with Georgia
Schedule a top level SEC team every year. Even if every SEC game we play is on the road, they would be bringing the UO team down to the recruiting hot bed every year! This year was an anomaly breaking in a new coach playing against his old team that just won a championship. Has that ever happened before? Let those future recruits see the UO brand of football in person. Win lose or draw, I think it helps the Ducks in the long run. When the 12 team playoff gets under way and just winning the Pac gets you in the playoffs then there really is no reason not to play the SEC every year.

Third Down Defense Musings
From some scattered quotes I've heard from Lanning, I think he felt there was too much learning curve to the aggressive style he likes to coach. I think bend but don't break is his fall back plan being utilized as the team continues to grow understanding of the scheme. I think next year will begin the era of stout defensive schemes. Remember, this is still the youngest team in the country and they're trying to learn a new system from new coaches. It's nice being able to critique the problems the defense is having while sitting at #6 in the country and a real threat to make the playoffs. Even with the poor third down stats, they still have had double digit late game leads on everybody since UGA, They even had a 10 point lead against WSU late until the hail Marry. Lanning has found a way to have the defense be successful while still trying to figure out the system. Pretty impressive really.

Canzano: Oregon Ducks Have a Path to Playoff
Oregon and Tennessee are nearly tide in ranking points at #5 and #6 right now. The UO may end the year playing four straight ranked teams if the Beavs climb back in the rankings. This should put a lot of weight to their strength of schedule. When it's all said and done, if they end up running the table, I see them finishing 3rd if TCU loses or 4th if they don't.

Garbage Time Reps for Back-Ups Don’t Matter
Nice article. I think they go out and bring in another solid transfer senior QB and let him and Moore battle it out. I'd like to see Butterfield get some snaps but we may be past the point in the schedule that allows 4th qtr back up minutes.

Lanning: Rope-a-Dope with TT?
I would think that in the age of NIL, players would do everything thing they can to generate a personal fan base. I don’t think appearing bored and uninspired works on that front.

Canzano: Oregon coach Dan Lanning not Interested in Auburn Opening
If Lanning thought the UCLA atmosphere was rocking, he’s going to love it when the fuskies come to town.

Top 10 by Conference SEC 4: #1, #5, #8, #9 Pac 3: #6, #7, #10 BIG 10 2: #2, #3 Big 12 1: #4 ACC 0 That minor league about to disband Pac whatever conference has the second most top 10 teams in the country. Lanning is set up for a playoff run every year at UO. He will be financially compensated at SEC rates for his success. He has everything he needs right here to compete for championships. He's not going anywhere.

Miami: *Sigh*
I think Miami has just fast tracked to where the UO would have been under Mario year 5. He has clearly lost the locker room and doesn't have the roster to just go out and auto pilot close wins like he did here. I thought Mario would have a tough time in Miami but I didn't even expect this harsh of a face plant coming out of the gate. If his coveted recruiting class goes up in smoke, assistants bail, and no one else returns his calls, the Mario era may be over. Maybe it already is.

Lanning Reveals Truth About Game Preparation
He also mentioned that he threw a bunch of trick plays in this week to give the fuskies even more to have to think about and plan for. He also didn't call them trick plays. Made it sound like they may become part off the standard offense. Dude just out coached Chip and is already setting the stage for more against the purple pups.
