  1. The UW kicker looks like Ralphie from Christmas Story
  2. This has the feel of DL saying to UW defense "there is nothing you can do puppies, roll over."
  3. Chunk plays to start! Love seeing this!!
  4. And if the bags under Day's eyes get any bigger, he's gonna have to check them at the airport.
  5. The boosters have probably seen enough. Can't beat a mediocre Michigan AT HOME and couldn't be the new kid on the block in Oregon.
  6. Hmmm, great question!! "Call for backup Deputy Quinn Ewers!"
  7. This was discussed earlier on several threads regarding transfer portal QBs. The author of this article may read our forum! Quinn Ewers: Potential Replacement for Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel? - BVM Sports SEARCH.APP Texas QB Quinn Ewers is being considered as a potential replacement for Dillon Gabriel at Oregon if he enters the transfer portal. 8. While the Heisman is certainly a tremendous award and it brings awareness and spotlight to a program, I would say that being prepared for the NFL is a much better play. Getting to the Big10 CG, the CFP, and having a shot at a 'Natty, is better for your program than a generational talent winning a singular award. I echo that Hunter has not gone up against "elite" competition this year. Can he compete with the best of the best in the NFL rather than feasting on Big12 talent? I have my doubts. Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams (both Heisman winners) have had mixed success in the NFL. The analysts are already talking about how Jayden Daniels has had "flashy" moments, but he seems to be plateauing and fading in his first year. They (this was the First Take crew) contrast that with Bo Nix who is getting stronger and better as the year goes on. Best quote I heard was from an analyst who said that if the draft was to happen again, he would take Bo Nix #1.
  9. Maybe Indiana shouldn't have rushed that Cignetti contract.
  10. I wonder if we could enlist PSU to be our "farm team".
  11. I actually completely forgot about Moga. And you have Akili Smith Jr coming in next year also.
  12. Very interesting thought and I think the beginning of this season would demonstrate the value of the O-Line. DG is a very skilled QB, but he struggled as the OL figured things out.
  13. OBD is in a bye week so of course that means my brain must go into hyperdrive looking into the future. I recently went back over the articles within this forum and have found a lot of posts and thoughts regarding the development of roster QB's, bringing in transfers, etc. Most of those posts are very applicable to today as well. I am inviting a little bit different response in this article. All across the sports wires are hypothetical theories about which QB's may end up where next year. One article discusses Quinn Ewers "possibly" transferring from Texas and what the "possible" destinations are. The usual suspects, tOSU, USC (whatever), Alabama, and Notre Dame. Then, one just popped up about Dylan Riaola "possibly" transferring from Nebraska. The article listed three "possible" destinations of Miami, tOSU, and Georgia. I realize many of these articles are click-bait as we are still within the throws of the season, but it did make me wonder. OBD has had transfer QB's for the last 3 years and we have had/are having significant success with those QB's. In the wings, we have Dante Moore waiting, along with Austin Novosad. I realize that if Arch Manning messaged DL and asked if he could come to Eugene to play his college ball, you don't say no to that. I don't think you would even say no to Quinn Ewers. Outside of those two names, is there a QB out there that you would like to see come west? Is there a signal caller that is head and shoulders above Dante Moore that you would want to bring in? Full disclosure, I have NOT seen all of the QB's in college football play. There may be some phenom at Aardvarka State dropping dimes left and right that I've never watched. Ultimately, I trust DL and Will Stein to evaluate talent and know what direction they want to go, but I also like to tickle the cortexes of this forum to see what others think.
  14. Indiana 24 - 21 1 turnover 3 sacks 235 yards
  15. Wait! You mean Alex Orji is NOT the answer?? Who knew?
  16. I completely agree that Matayo is starting to take over games. That hit was awesome!! The awareness of the tipped ball that he picked to end the game was fantastic. He caught that almost over his shoulder. He is going to have a fantastic NFL career (can't say the same for his brother). I would not at all be surprised if there is an offensive play call with his name on it.
  17. But they look SO good against Grand Canyon Online University, ITT Tech, and Detroit School of the Blind.
  18. To me, I think the "Eye Test" is looking for this:
  19. Pate was spot on with his game. Earlier in the week, he had rated this game a "7" on his danger scale for Oregon. He said the travel and the amount of games Oregon had played made this an very dangerous game. He was right.
  20. Oh, I see what you did there!!! Well played "Shout" reference!!
  21. Oh, you should have read the Husky forums about this game. Their "obtuse-ity" was on full display. One comment was similar to "so much talent and they are so underperforming" in reference to how the Ducks were playing. Ummm, yeah. 11-0 is such a letdown. We are one of three undefeated teams left in FBS. Out of 134! OBD, Indiana, and Army are the only teams with unblemished records. At the beginning of the year, I predicted 2 losses. Ohio State and at Wisconsin. This team has shown their mettle in overcoming injuries, in gelling with transfers, and winning with suffocating defense!! I honestly DO NOT care if Oregon is #1, #2, or #3. I feel they deserve #1, Camp Randall has taken out some worthy opponents! My pride and love of OBD wants them to be #1. My brain reminds me of the desired endgame and says "They are in the B10CG! Beat the Woof-Woofs in two weeks and they are 100% in the playoffs no matter what"
  22. I'll just say that most, if not all, other Oregon teams would have lost that game. These games are the ones that elite teams win.
  23. Northwestern is outplaying Ohio State. 7-0 2nd quarter. Ohio State's defense looks slow today. Northwestern scoring drive: 92 yards in 5 1/2 minutes. That's domination.
