  1. Maybe Bucky will have second thoughts about going to the NFL after running all over the Flames....the dudes just get bigger at the next level, Bucky.
  2. Beav fans are TRYING to find a silver lining anywhere... Some of them over at angrybeavs.com thought they would have a shot at TT... And they are excited about a lineman from Colorado who is transferring to OSU? Yeah, that wall of an offensive line that Shadeur had last year...good pick up. I guess desperation breeds delusion.
  3. For the Pac-12 championship I don't blame Bo Nix...but I do blame a lot of things: The lines at the men's bathroom were ridiculous! I've never seen so much waiting and I missed the window of when I do my lucky dance when I needed to do it. The lines at the Tequila bar were very long and I missed out on cheering for a really nice throw. The refs. The refs wore stripes, threw yellow hankies on the field or kept them in their knickers when they should have thrown them. The Huskies. They showed up. What were they thinking? And their band was better... seriously, UO needs to step up the game in the band area...tOSU has a Hella-Amazing band and they will mop the band room with our band. I am sure Charles's analysis will be nearly identical to mine.
  4. The story about JPJ includes that Bucky is foregoing his final season. Oregon Ducks' Jackson Powers-Johnson declares for NFL draft - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM Oregon's Jackson Powers-Johnson, who won the Rimington Trophy as the nation's top center in 2023, has...
  5. I can tell you one person who knows they are gonna need to hit the weight room this off-season....the push-up count next season with Gabriel is gonna get ridiculous.
  6. The stats have been compiled and analyzed. The videos have been viewed on YouTube. The experts and others have already debated that this is THE best portal move out there. I agree with everything. But, what kind of person is Dillon? It is telling to me that a significant amount of Sooner fans are wishing him the absolute best and thanking him for what he did for Sooner football. That they are excited for him to be at Oregon and hope he is in New York for a certain trophy presentation next year. When your former fan base is happy for you and wishing you the very best at Oregon, that tells me something about this kid. When they WANT you to succeed somewhere else, that tells me Dillon MATTERED to the Sooners. During the Heisman presentation, an interviewer asked DL about Bo Nix. DL said that Bo Nix "The babysitter" gave DL's kids too much ice cream. Bo Nix babysat DL's kids!!! That tells me even more about Bo's character. Dillon is in that same mold with what I am reading from Sooner fans. Wins define a season, and we want OBD to produce wins. Character can define a program. Most of us on this board have various names for Jameis, for Cam, for Cliff Harris, and even Masoli. What stands out to me for character is a Mariota, Herbert, Nix, etc. Dillon seems to be in that same mold. We got a phenomenal player to lead the team in 2024. It also appears we got an amazing man to lead this team.
  7. Could NOT be more proud of Bo. Wish he had won it, but there is nothing that diminishes what that man has done at Oregon.
  8. I am would throw Justin Herbert into that mix also. Between Mariota and Herbert, we had Vernon Adams who was developed elsewhere and the Dakota Prukop experiment that paved the way for Herbert. Herbert started as QB2 behind Prukop but then was thrown into it as a freshman.
  9. Good luck young man. You've earned my respect by how you've handled yourself while with the Ducks! Hope you go shine somewhere!
  10. I think he feels robbed that he didn't get his touchdown after the called fumble was reversed in the championship. So, hopefully he stays to score one and break the tape one last time. Okay, kinda joking there but I LOVE watching that kid play for OBD.
  11. Well, he was good enough to give Texas their only loss of the season this year. 2023: 30 TDs, 6 INTs, and 12 TDs on the ground. He has been described as a left-handed Bo Nix. Now, that's a comparison that maybe should wait because Bo is special as we all saw. DG is more of a dual-threat than Bo, but don't think of him as the Jayden Daniels at LSU, he's not that type of runner. Around 70% completion rate , high QBR (top 5 in the nation) in an offense that isn't as good as Oregons. LOTS of YouTube highlights, the game against Texas was a fun one.
  12. I have mixed feelings about this time of year in college football. The Transfer Portal opening brings a sense of excitement, waiting to hear who may elect to join OBD. But, this time of year also brings a lot of false or erroneous reports (Cam Ward has transferred to the Ducks). It seems like folks in the media are trying to be the one to break the big news and jump the gun. Already a few days in and I am experiencing TPF: Transfer Portal Fatigue. Unfortunately, this is a lifelong affliction with no known cure for those of us who are college football fans. Treatment involves cessation of perusing college football news, immersing oneself in other activities, and watching water polo. I can't bring myself to have the fortitude to adhere to such a stringent regiment so I am a chronic case. If there is anyone out there who would like to support my battle, I can send you the link to my GoFundMe page. I know that there are others on this forum who are silently fighting this same battle. (P.S. I don't ACTUALLY have a GoFundMe so please, NOBODY try to send anything)
  13. Yes, to clarify I was talking about paying for the bowl game or football season tickets. Errrrr...I mean my friend was clarifying.
  14. Asking for a friend: Buy a package to go to the Fiesta Bowl or spring for season tickets. Significant other is giving those two options. Keep in mind that marital harmony is hanging in the balance. Your replies will be strictly confidential.
  15. Being as sentimental as I am, my favorite wasn't a highlight catch or a momentum shifting play. Watching Bo and Tez celebrating after their first (of many) TD connections playing against Texas Tech was my favorite.
  16. Well, I was behind the curve on that one....I thought he was still here.
  17. I gotta say, Trikweze started to be a liability in passing coverage versus the other talent that we have. I love his size and match-up potential against tall receivers over someone like Dontae Manning, but he was not the best pass defender. I wish him the best of luck but we have a good stable to pull from. The freshman, Cole Martin, is gonna be special and with the Jahlil's (Jahlil Tucker and Jalil Florence), along with the 2024 commits put us in good shape!!
  18. I'm not sold on Moore. Not from a talent standpoint, but he committed to Oregon, then decommitted and went to UCLA. So, I'm not sure if he even knows what he wants at this point.
  19. Brock Vandagriff is entering the portal and is a graduate transfer. I've seen him play a few times and he seemed decent. DL would have a lot more insight on him and would be able to have him for two years. Just wondering if that's a direction, I don't claim to have any insider knowledge.
  20. Let's be real: There is no REPLACING Bo. Guys like him are hard to find and I'm not sure when we will see the next one. The next QB the ducks bring in will have to realize winning is big, but character is "biggerer". (Charles, that was intentional misuse of grammar) What I have seen is that DL is fostering a culture where character and integrity matter. Cam Ward, you paying attention? Thanks Bo, for one last Duck game.
  21. Sham. Disappointing. Ludicrous. I actually have a degree from Liberty so this is two of my teams...still think the matchup sucks and I sure as heck will not be traveling for it.
  22. I would imagine the call for FSU vs Ohio State or Georgia is getting pretty strong. Except from some of FSU fans...they want the team to boycott any bowl they get.
  23. Entirely possible as the SEC commish, Sankey, beats the drum as loud as he can to advocate for his conference.... Kliavkoff: crickets.
