  1. Very interesting thought and I think the beginning of this season would demonstrate the value of the O-Line. DG is a very skilled QB, but he struggled as the OL figured things out.
  2. OBD is in a bye week so of course that means my brain must go into hyperdrive looking into the future. I recently went back over the articles within this forum and have found a lot of posts and thoughts regarding the development of roster QB's, bringing in transfers, etc. Most of those posts are very applicable to today as well. I am inviting a little bit different response in this article. All across the sports wires are hypothetical theories about which QB's may end up where next year. One article discusses Quinn Ewers "possibly" transferring from Texas and what the "possible" destinations are. The usual suspects, tOSU, USC (whatever), Alabama, and Notre Dame. Then, one just popped up about Dylan Riaola "possibly" transferring from Nebraska. The article listed three "possible" destinations of Miami, tOSU, and Georgia. I realize many of these articles are click-bait as we are still within the throws of the season, but it did make me wonder. OBD has had transfer QB's for the last 3 years and we have had/are having significant success with those QB's. In the wings, we have Dante Moore waiting, along with Austin Novosad. I realize that if Arch Manning messaged DL and asked if he could come to Eugene to play his college ball, you don't say no to that. I don't think you would even say no to Quinn Ewers. Outside of those two names, is there a QB out there that you would like to see come west? Is there a signal caller that is head and shoulders above Dante Moore that you would want to bring in? Full disclosure, I have NOT seen all of the QB's in college football play. There may be some phenom at Aardvarka State dropping dimes left and right that I've never watched. Ultimately, I trust DL and Will Stein to evaluate talent and know what direction they want to go, but I also like to tickle the cortexes of this forum to see what others think.
  3. Wait! You mean Alex Orji is NOT the answer?? Who knew?
  4. I completely agree that Matayo is starting to take over games. That hit was awesome!! The awareness of the tipped ball that he picked to end the game was fantastic. He caught that almost over his shoulder. He is going to have a fantastic NFL career (can't say the same for his brother). I would not at all be surprised if there is an offensive play call with his name on it.
  5. But they look SO good against Grand Canyon Online University, ITT Tech, and Detroit School of the Blind.
  6. To me, I think the "Eye Test" is looking for this:
  7. Pate was spot on with his game. Earlier in the week, he had rated this game a "7" on his danger scale for Oregon. He said the travel and the amount of games Oregon had played made this an very dangerous game. He was right.
  8. Oh, I see what you did there!!! Well played "Shout" reference!!
  9. Oh, you should have read the Husky forums about this game. Their "obtuse-ity" was on full display. One comment was similar to "so much talent and they are so underperforming" in reference to how the Ducks were playing. Ummm, yeah. 11-0 is such a letdown. 😂😂😂 We are one of three undefeated teams left in FBS. Out of 134! OBD, Indiana, and Army are the only teams with unblemished records. At the beginning of the year, I predicted 2 losses. Ohio State and at Wisconsin. This team has shown their mettle in overcoming injuries, in gelling with transfers, and winning with suffocating defense!! I honestly DO NOT care if Oregon is #1, #2, or #3. I feel they deserve #1, Camp Randall has taken out some worthy opponents! My pride and love of OBD wants them to be #1. My brain reminds me of the desired endgame and says "They are in the B10CG! Beat the Woof-Woofs in two weeks and they are 100% in the playoffs no matter what"
  10. I'll just say that most, if not all, other Oregon teams would have lost that game. These games are the ones that elite teams win.
  11. Northwestern is outplaying Ohio State. 7-0 2nd quarter. Ohio State's defense looks slow today. Northwestern scoring drive: 92 yards in 5 1/2 minutes. That's domination.
  12. They all secretly have man-crushes on DL and have to say something to make it seem like they don't!! 😂😂😂😂
  13. I'm not sure if anyone wants to win this game. "Here you take the ball" "Naw, you can have it back" "No really, take it".
  14. This is painful to watch.
  15. Why do the Husky helmets look like they were designed by a first year art student?? Those facemasks look like they were recently spray painted with stuff on-sale at Bi-Mart.
  16. That was HORRIBLY blocked! Turnover on downs by the Huskies!
  17. I think I've said this earlier this year, but I don't like listening to Helfrich as an analyst.
  18. Washington's offense trying to get first downs.
  19. Way to go Lenoir!! Nice to see the young man getting noticed! Source - 49ers' Deommodore Lenoir gets 5-year, $92M extension - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM The 49ers and CB Deommodore Lenoir, who has two of his six career interceptions this season, have reached a five-year, $92...
  20. Miami is #1 in scoring average this year. Most Canes fans would sell their season tickets to be where the Ducks are and to have DL as a coach.
  21. Save for two games last year, albeit VERY PAINFUL, OBD has given us a lot to be thankful for in regards to the product put forward in the field. The "Ducks vs Them" series is getting lots of play nationally, with former college/pro players saying that Dan Lanning makes them want to put the pads back on and run through walls. I, for one, have kinda taken our new reality for granted at times, expecting near perfection. I say this because I was reminded that some other Big10 teams don't have the same outlook...as evident by this poor Husky fan trying to find a silver lining for the season. 😂😂😂😂😂! I will take what we have any day!!!
  22. Dang, I want one of those helmets!!!
  23. Really? That speculation is starting already? I think Oregon is actually a better job than any current bottom-dweller NFL openings and Oregon may pay better!! 😂
  24. Currently, and kinda a shocker, Georgia is the first team out of this week's playoff rankings. It's not a shocker if we are going on records, but it is a shocker that it's Georgia. Big10 has 4 of the top 5.
