  1. I've had Global Entry for 10 years. But I'm also realistic regarding travel time, delays, etc. But $85 for 5 years of PreCheck is not a barrier for anyone. And yes, travel time to S Bend v Eugene is about the same. This situation seems to be rooted in one currently confused family not being remotely on the same page. I have just on word for them: Go-Ducks (okay... admittedly that's more like 1.5 words, or so).
  2. 3 1/2 hour drive Dallas to Norman. The non stop on Alaska or American is about 4 hours. Then you have to add for drive time to DFW -- could easily be +1 hour. Then you'd want to arrive about an hour before your flight = + 1 more hour. Then when you get to Eugene, add 30 minutes to pick your rental car. So, all-in-all, it's an easy 7 hour trip. Plus, flying these days usually sucks. Plus, being crammed in a can with another 180 people or so is never fun, especially with all the viruses making the rounds. But he still should have chosen Oregon.
  3. Boulder & Eugene have much in common.
  4. Anyone know if someone is tracking the number of portal transfers by school? I'm quite certain it's being done, but I can't find it. I'm curious how Oregon compares to other Top-25 programs.
  5. Obviously you are correct. I remember reading an article that said something like 85+% of verbal commitments do follow through. When I was young in my career, I had my weekly meeting with my Manager and I told him I had a client verbal commitment. He said, "You mean verbitment." Fortunately, by far, most kids follow through. My comment above was meant to be more tongue-in-cheek than anything else.
  6. When it come to college football recruiting today, I think it's time to stop using the terms "Commitment," and "Committed." Clearly, the world no longer understands what the root word "commit" means. I'd suggest we start using the term, "Verbitment" --- as in "Verbal Commitment." As in meaningless.
  7. Best wishes to Mike Leach for a miracle recovery.
  8. Congrats to Coach Smith.
  9. Does anyone out there have data yet regarding portal transfer numbers from all FBS schools? The general assumption being discussed here seems quite reasonable, but I'd really like to see transfer data for all FBS schools.
  10. Thanks Charles for continuing with the project. Again, my apologies for copying and pasting a quote from the board last week that had a foul-mouth acronym. I truly did not think about it until I got your email. That won't happen again. Have a great weekend.
  11. I'm curious what the interest level is regarding Duck fans going to the Holiday Bowl. I'm wondering who around here is planning on going, might be going, or is not going. It's relatively close for us, which definitely helped make our decision to go. It should be an exciting game. Plus, it's San Diego.
  12. I swore very little growing up, but when I did, I'd get my behind whomped by my single mom. But at about 13, I said, "No more of that." However, she then upped her game and in came financial punishment. And at age 16, the car keys came into play. Let's just that that swearing was pretty much eliminated from my vocabulary.
  13. Remove the Eastern Washington game and leave in the Geogia debacle, and he still averaged 37 points per game.
  14. Exactly... that filter is really cramping my style 😉
  15. I think the player can start as soon as his first NIL check clears 😉 Just kidding... I really don't know the answer to your excellent question. This stuff has all moved too fast for me to keep up with. My day job keeps getting in the way.
  16. Deion said that everyone on that team is going to have to earn their position. Except for his QB son, Shedeur, who he pointed to and said: “That’s your quarterback.” What a way to start your new job.
  17. He doesn't have any Miami connections... does he? I'm hearing that there may be an HC opportunity there soon.
  18. But even with only scoring 3 points in the Georgia debacle, Dilly still averaged 40 points per game.
  19. He sounds great on paper. Might be a great fit at Oregon. It also looks like he might have just started shaving too.
  20. This is hilarious. And I'm going to steal it 😉
  21. If Nix doesn't return, which I would say is likely, will Oregon try to find another "Bo Nix" in the free agency market? Is there anyone even out there?
  22. It's gotta suck being UCLA and getting relegated to a bowl games in El Paso Texas/Juarez Mexico. I expect to see about 648 Bruin fans in attendance.
