I don't think it was until the 2019 Pac-12 Championship game against Utah that Mario finally let Justin do what Justin does. As I'm sure you recall, were big underdogs going into that game. Mario finally unleashed the reins on the kid who is currently one of the best QBs in the NFL. And all Justin then did against Utah was completely shred and pick them apart, both in the air and with his feet, for a thoroughly wonderful 37-15 thrashing of the Utes. And apparently, after 12 games into that season, Mario finally seemed to learn his lesson and allowed Justin to be Justin in the Rose Bowl as well --- whereby we went on to have a Rose Bowl win for the ages.

Absolutely not me. A few brave souls around here tried to compare that GA thrashing game to Chip Kelly's first game against Boise state. Frankly, I would hear none of it. But clearly, thankfully, they knew much better than I did.

Like I keep saying, Florida has been very good to the Ducks. They've bailed us out twice, while, as you've pointed out, have been kind enough to pay the salaries of the entire coaching staff this year. They have been so generous.

Florida has been so good to Oregon football... first by taking the Taggert disaster off of our hands, and then by rescuing us from Mario. On the flipside, for Taggert & Mario, Florida has been a disaster. Maybe sometimes, you just shouldn't try and go home.

No way Lanning was going to say yes to that pile of manure program. It is and was a disaster when MC said yes. The internal and external problems within the Miami program are huge.

In the new power rankings, Ducks are ranked #6, ahead of LSU. And a rather unimpressive USC team is #7. Hopefully, Texas can upset TCU next Saturday, otherwise, it looks likely that the Frogs will go undefeated. Nice to see Oregon getting the respect that they're earning. 3 more HUGE games.

With Alabama and Clemson taking losses, do the Ducks move up to #6? And how far does Tennessee drop?

Great to see the Ducks continue rolling through the regular season. 49 points of offense, while nice, was to be expected. Especially given that of the 8 teams that have spanked Colorado, all but one have scored 40+ points on them. Regardless, it was another very solid win. But now comes the final push meat grinder: UW, Utah, @ OSU. Huge props to the Duck players, and to the coaching staff. This could end up being one of the most miraculous turn-around seasons ever. Two months ago, if you tired to tell me Oregon would be 8-1, I would have laughed at you. Fortunately, the joke is on me
