  1. Sorry... I'm not sure why it's not opening for you.
  2. This poor kid. "Tyler Van Dyke isn’t the player he was last year and Miami" https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.miamiherald.com/sports/college/acc/university-of-miami/article266308611.html We are beyond fortunate that the gods of football came calling from Miami.
  3. Agreed. I think it's likely that the pass on that play would have been intercepted anyway, even without the tip.
  4. It absolutely was tipped. The ball changed trajection and was altered. If you watch the replay in slow motion, it's actually pretty easy to see. But even without the tip, I think there is a high likelihood that the pass would have been intercepted anyway.
  5. I'm almost forgot about that beyond horrendous situation. It really is stunning why the Pac-12 referee situation has been allowed to be so bad for so long. No idea why this has not been fixed.
  6. This screw up was definitely another Pac-12 referee situation for the ages.
  7. Ahhh... That sheds a little light on my question. Thank you. I was just beyond happy to have such a fine, solid, experienced, and smart receiver joining our receiving corps. And I thought that although he took the long route to get home, he finally did make it here.
  8. This is stone, cold, brutal. I've said it before, but as a reminder again, Mario's first play called as head coach at Oregon was a timeout BEFORE the opening kickoff of the game. I've watched a lot of football over the decades, and I have never ever once seen that happen before. I'm more thankful by the minute that Miami came calling.
  9. I guess people didn't follow this kid at all while he had a wonderful career at UCLA, or looked at his stats.
  10. I don't think there's any question that it was definitely a tip. If you watch the replay in slow motion, it is relatively easy to see. It slowed and changed the trajectory of the ball. Even with the pic, Nix had nothing less than an absolutely stellar day.
  11. I had no idea that people were down in the Chase Cota acquisition until I read your comment. I have no idea why people would have been down on Cota. He is a fine and excellent receiver. Why did people had/have a negative opinion of him?
  12. Brutal is the word. I like Mario, and I thank the gods of football that Miami came calling for him. “Oh, and, by the way: Who is UM’s quarterback now. Still Tyler Van Dyke? Or Jake Garcia?” “Last season we all loved Tyler Van Dyke, UM’s best quarterback since whenever.” Somebody forgot to tell Miami that Mario is the place where excellent quarterbacks go to die.
  13. Considering we only scored 3 points in our first game, that's quite impressive.
  14. Very true. The storm was so severe that the meteorologist's even named it: "Middle Tennessee State University."
  15. When the Ducks were down by 12 with 6:41 to go, I had no doubt that they would come back and win this game. And it never rains at Autzen Stadium.
  16. Welcome to Oregon, Coach Lanning!
  17. If stats equated to points, we'd be up by about 14.
  18. At this rate, Mario may end up having one of the shortest $8 million dollar per-year college coaching careers in history. I'd like to suggest that he call three time outs in the 3rd Q.
  19. Well that was certainly a nice and easy 67 yard drive and TD for the Cougars. "Dear Lord - Please bring back our D from last week for the rest of this game. Amen"
  20. I really have no idea. But I was so down after the Georgia game that it was a good thing there were no tall Bridges around . After last Saturday's excellent game, I'm just about to the place where nothing they do will surprise me... good or bad. But this game will certainly be very telling. Last week's game was huge, but this one, given that it is a road against who looks to be a very good team, may be even more telling.
  21. Remember, MC's very first play called as Oregon's head coach, was a timeout, right before the kickoff. He literally called a timeout before the game actually started. I've watched a lot of football over the years, but I've never seen that one before. Anyone paying attention knew that could not be a good sign of things to come.
  22. And there's not a snowballs chance in Tempe in August that the alumni would allow the school to even give Taggert a sniff.
  23. ASU is where college football coaches go to die. This is about the last HC gig Dillingham should look at. We've been down here for more than 10 years, and I'm convinced that there is likely not a bigger dumpster fire college HC job in the nation. I have several good friends who are ASU alumni and a couple of them played football here. They are very close to the program. And every year, their football program just gets a bit worse. They're beyond disheartened. Anytime I've gotten a bit down on our Ducks, all I have to do is just look down the road a few miles to ASU and I'm instantly reminded how good we have it.
  24. That's just some stone-cold stuff right there. And spot on truth. And, IMHO, Kingsbury needs to take that short and whiny QB with him.
