Nasty Truth: Oregon No Longer Quarterback U, But Needs To Be
Smith72 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Ouch! The truth hurts! Yet, it was only the last 4 years that the shackles were put on the offensive coordinators. Even (the snake) recognized the talent of Herbert. 49 points a game until his injury. Thank you Miami boosters for ending our misery! I agree with Notalot, those times are in the rearview mirror. Quarterback U is returning! Thanks for the great article Drex! -

The advertising is tasteful and not intrusive. It's not going to be a problem for me. -
Ducks Went Down to Georgia: Looking for a Game to Steal
Smith72 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Another great article DazeNConfused! A championship quality game to start the season. Your coaching predictions are quality caliber. Here's hoping Our Beloved Ducks put it all together! -
JJ extremely quick feet and ability to change direction in micro-seconds. Great vision to see lanes as they are beginning to open. Jeremiah Johnson, one of Oregon's top notch running backs!

Six Schools That the Pac-12 Should Consider Adding

And San Diego State. These two are a must. -
A talented athlete going from middle school to high school finds that seeking ways to improve leads to success. It is sad to see an athlete who thinks they already have it perfected. The same is true for the transitions HS to college and college to the pros. Being "Addicted to Success" depends upon wanting to improve and taking input from any and all sources. Charles said, "Wanting the players to be 'Addicted to Success,' is quite the mind-set that the Oregon coaches want to develop at Oregon." I am impressed that this is becoming the Culture of Our Beloved Ducks!

Mr. FishDuck, excellent article today on our coaches. I too am looking forward to adjustments during the game - especially after halftime! Charles said, "The in-game adjustments from the sideline bodes well this year, and these comments point to exciting times coming on the offensive side of the football." The daily improvement preached to the players is also practiced by the coaches. The shared expertise and willingness to work together shows this staff is a tight team!

Pennsylvania Duck and Tandaian each posted articles yesterday morning from different sources that covered the same information. I agree with you that Coach DL is teaching expectations and doing it well.

After 5 Camp Days...Players Learn 'Controlled Aggression'
Smith72 replied to Pennsylvania Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
"You got to learn how to be poised," Taimani said. "We kind of learned our lesson today; we were a little aggressive today, so we ran a little. It's how we practice is how he wants us to play in the game. He doesn't want any of the smack talking, extra stuff; he wants us to have clean practices because how we practice will translate into the game." Taki is a fun guy to listen to. Full of experience and humble. He's a good addition to Team Havoc. It will be nice to see poised defenders making a great tackle, a great play, and then hustling back to get ready to do it again. No more smack talking, pounding chests, and showboating! Dan Lanning is teaching! Dan Lanning is in charge! Go Ducks! -
Let's play ball! Can't wait for the season to start. DNC you've written another great article. Thank you, thank you! I can't see any weak area of defense. Depth and waves of talented aggressive Ducks creating havoc on offenses. Go Ducks!

Dilligham: Using as Many Running Backs as Necessary
Smith72 replied to Pennsylvania Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Coach Dillingham, "We want to keep guys fresh that way at the end of the game. We have fresh legs. So I mean, the more running backs you have, the better," Meaningful reps from more backs not only means fresh legs for the 4th quarter, but all backs get developed. Morale is boosted! Practices are better and buy-in to the total program is better.- 1 reply

Day 4: Videos of Dillingham, 3 Players After Practice
Smith72 replied to Pennsylvania Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Interview videos are awesome today! Dilly - energy and "fresh legs". Who wouldn't love to play for him. Fun! JPJ - love his attitude " I just want to play!" Caleb Chapman - maturity and experience! I appreciate how coaches and players talk about teaching and taking it to the field! -
Forget the Future: The 2022 Oregon Front Seven is the BEST?
Smith72 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I agree with you Charles. No hyperbole when looking at the depth of talent. I can add that our defensive coordinator, Tosh Lupoi, will be aggressive. The 2022 Ducks, with Dan Lanning as head coach, will match the exciting offense. The coaching staff will turn this talent loose and create Havoc! No more wide open receivers in the middle of the field. No more third and 19 converted for first downs! Go Ducks! -

How High Can Dillingham’s Ducks Fly?
Smith72 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
DazeNConfused, you describe the answer to my dreams! With our talent, with our history, that's what I have craved for the last 4 years. Hope springs eternal. Here's hoping for Coach Dillingham's success. Go, high flying Ducks! -
“It doesn’t matter what I know,” Lanning told reporters. “It’s about what our players know… I’m going to play zero snaps for the University of Oregon this year.” Great teaching going on at the UO!

Dan Lanning Knows How to Rock an Offseason
Smith72 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Welcome to Our Beloved Duck Forum! You knocked the proverbial ball out of the park. Thank you, Drex, your writing is a joy to read! There are so many phrases that caused me to go "Wow!" over and over! Your wordsmithing is the best! I loved everything you had to say! As we said back in the 70's, "Keep on trucking!" -
In 2022...Do Cheerleader Photos Inspire or Offend?
Smith72 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Per Haywarduck comment on strength. One of the guys on my daughter's squad at Oregon used to be an offensive tackle. He had to give up football because of a neck injury. He would lift a female cheerleader in each hand and they would stand on his hand in that pose above his head with both his arms extended. That was strength!
