SI: Team Building Resulting in Shared Leadership for Oregon Ducks Defense
“It doesn’t matter what I know,” Lanning told reporters. “It’s about what our players know… I’m going to play zero snaps for the University of Oregon this year.” Great teaching going on at the UO!

Dan Lanning Knows How to Rock an Offseason
Welcome to Our Beloved Duck Forum! You knocked the proverbial ball out of the park. Thank you, Drex, your writing is a joy to read! There are so many phrases that caused me to go "Wow!" over and over! Your wordsmithing is the best! I loved everything you had to say! As we said back in the 70's, "Keep on trucking!"

In 2022...Do Cheerleader Photos Inspire or Offend?
Per Haywarduck comment on strength. One of the guys on my daughter's squad at Oregon used to be an offensive tackle. He had to give up football because of a neck injury. He would lift a female cheerleader in each hand and they would stand on his hand in that pose above his head with both his arms extended. That was strength!

In 2022...Do Cheerleader Photos Inspire or Offend?
My daughter was a cheerleader for 4 years during the Bellotti years. My wife and I supported her time at Oregon. Cheerleaders spend many hours practicing and work very hard! In addition to pregame activities and games they participate in fundraising events, work at golf tournaments, and countless hours at bowl games. I agree that new outfits (Nike designed) and dance routines are a generational thing. Including them in pictures of football is ok with me!

Fall Camp Opens On Friday
The road begins Friday. Yet the preparation began this Spring, throughout the summer with strength and conditioning, and team-building activities all summer. I'm looking forward to watching player and coach interviews each day during camp! We have awesome players with great work ethic and character. Great to listen to their point of view! Football is coming! Go Ducks!

Who Leads the 2022 Ducks in Touchdowns?
I'm trusting in Coach Locklyn! Running Back Coach will get'er done!

Will Special Teams Be Special?
The best kickoff defense is a touchback! Lewis needs to improve on his 35 of 79 KO's last year. Alex Bales and Andrew Boyle incoming transfers are kickoff specialists! Competition should insure improvement in KO's. Hutson and McGee will be exciting replacements at Kick and Punt Return!

Will Special Teams Be Special?
This is a definite area of needed improvement! The previous staff were underwhelming coaching special teams. Will Oregon football's special teams be special? PAMPLINMEDIA.COM New coaching staff, new approach put emphasis on the kicking game as an area where Oregon can improve.

Who Leads the 2022 Ducks in Touchdowns?
Alex wrote, "At the end of the day, I want to see the win column measure up to the lofty expectations Lanning has. But it wouldn’t hurt to jump out of my seat here and there along the way." I agree Alex, an exciting offense will be great to watch again! But I have to say it will be a running back leading the scorers. 😁 Thanks for sharing this article!

What Defensive Two Deep Might Look Like
Excellent point about sharing snaps! Fresh legs is so important later in the game. Giving talented backups game experience is valuable for the team and player development. It also builds buy in from all the players who work extremely hard in practice! Team morale is boosted! The Oregon roster is loaded with lots of blue chip athletes. Maybe some will not be lost to the Transfer Portal if playing time occurred.

Oregon OC Kenny Dillingham Has Surprises in His Coaching Tree
Great research DazeNconfused! Another great writer has been added to the FishDuck flock. Go Ducks! If Oregon can average over 500 yards per game (as Dillingham did his 1st year as an OC), we're in for an exciting season.

USC to Join Ohio State as 'Big Two' of the Big Ten
Darren I agree that Oregon should become the "Clemson" of the West Coast. That is IMHO why Oregon should lead the move to keep the PAC together. Adding San Diego State makes sense. Oregon leading and winning will be better than joining a transcontinental conference!

San Diego State seen as essential to Pac-12 in rapidly shifting world TROJANSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Jon Wilner said it clearly: The Pac-12 ‘needs’ San Diego State. Ducks Talk: Future Still Uncertain for Pac-12, Oregon
IMHO, I think Oregon should stay with the PAC. All the reasons that were stated about USC & UCLA regretting their decision to join the BIG 10 would apply to the Ducks. Long travel, winter weather, and loss of school time for the student athletes are my concerns. The other sports would be affected more. Additionally, the same would apply for fans. I'm a traditionalist. I grew up with the PAC-8. Adjusted with the PAC-10 and then PAC-12. I support adding San Diego State and Fresno State. Oregon will continue to be a top tier program. I don't know what will come. I'm just going to enjoy the upcoming season, and appreciate Our Beloved Ducks!
