  1. Yep, she's the GOAT. If you have a few minutes, watch her record setting game against the LV Aces. 31 pts, 13 rebounds and 10 assists, the first WNBA triple double ever with more than 30 points scored. NEW YORK LIBERTY vs. LAS VEGAS ACES | FULL GAME H…:
  2. Twice! So 6-0. Didn't we beat Michigan State as well at Autzen and in the Redbox Bowl? So 8-0! Fear the Duck!
  3. Not sure we should see him making a Friday announcement as favoring the Ducks, but with the Oregon push in the last few weeks and all the crystal balls swinging green and yellow (and black and gray and white and silver and, heaven help us, occasionally pink), I like the odds.
  4. I as well am glad you are here, McDawg. I'll add my own two bits. Most Hated Rival: Butt-sniffers by the Lake (though U$C is a close 2nd for me). Favorite Recent Games: 2014 Fiesta Bowl v K. State. DAT's opening KO return to the house was a revelation to the KSU fans. 2015 CFP semi at the Rose Bowl v FSU. Never seen a team quit and just shut down like they did when Oregon went off in the 2nd half. Winston's oopsy-doodle fumble was the coffin nail for the Seminoles, a thing of beauty. 2012 Rose Bowl v Wisconsin. Oregon beat a good B10 champion and a future NFL champ MVP QB. 2020 Same as above. Tighter game but every Oregon fan came away from that win thinking, "why the hell wasn't Justin Herbert allowed to do THAT all year". Greatest Heartbreaker Games: 2011 CFP NC game for all the reasons others have noted. His knee was down. I'll add the 2014-5 season home loss to Stanford when Zach Ertz was gifted a TD at the end. He was out of bounds. If DAT had turned around and made a block to get Mariota into the end zone in the 1st half, that game ends differently and Oregon would have been in the NC game instead of the Fiesta Bowl. Looking forward to watching our respective teams meet in Atlanta in September. Go Ducks!
  5. Yeah, the impact would create a small, but noticeable, drop in air quality.
  6. Playing the devil's advocate, Oregon could more than hold it's own in rhe B1G and prosper there. Didn't the Ducks just put a beat down on tOSU in the 'Shoe? Didn't our new head coach just throttle the Michigan offense as Georgia's DC in the NC semis. Those two teams were hands down the best the B1G had to throw at the rest of college football last year. Yeah, traveling to Ice Capades land for November away games isn't all that appealing, but think of the fun of having Penn State, Michigan, Wisconsin or tOSU in our house. Thise last three teams might feel.like they owe us some payback. Autzen would be rockin'.
  7. Everything 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong said on Friday's Autzen Audibles podcast 247SPORTS.COM Everything 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong said on Friday's Autzen Audibles podcast Nice 24/7 recap of Dante Moore's performance and recruitment after Elite 11. We've seen the pic of him with MM during his last Oregon visit. I'm hoping we see JH make an appearance as well. Moore is described as smart, humble, exquisitely skilled, a great playmaker that cares about teammates. A lot like the two Oregon alums leading the Chargers and Falcons, who are doubtless role models. Ta&m looks to be the main competitor and I doubt old man Tannehill will be hanging out for a photo op. Or that Fan Controlled Football league dumpster fire named Manziel for that matter. I suppose oodles of NIL $$$ could sway the decision, but this kid seems to have real character, and following in the footsteps of Marcus and Justin might be more important than a little extra scratch.
  8. My humble take. This has been in the works for some time. Riley gets told that you come to USC you don’t have to go to SEC country, no Jimbo, no Nick. We will scoot you to the Big10. And you get to live in la-la land. In a big crib. UCLA goes for the $$$ and it's relevance for hoops. The Pac12 gets to pound sand. I can't believe that Oregon was not aware of what was about to come down. The report earlier today that Oregon was not invited to the party I don't buy. National brand, Uncle Phil and a big fan base. What conference would not want a piece of that? I lament the demise of the Pac12. I grew up with the Pac8, then the Pac 10. I watched my alma mater Cal suffer at the hands of the University of Spoiled C*********s (thank you, Axel) far too many times. But it's a whole new ballgame, sports fans, and Oregon needs to pivot. Recruits will not be enticed by a match up with San Diego State or Arizona. It's not all about market size. Tuscaloosa isn't exactly Long Beach or Pasadena. It's what the entire weight of the SEC brings to the table. So the LA market has some pull but the Ducks are a gravity sink all to themselves. Oregon likely needs to jettison the Pac12 for greener pastures. The Ducks need to remind everyone that Justin Herbert, Penei Sewell, Marcus Mariota and the Kayvon Thibodeaux have all been birthed here and that Mighty Oregon is the place to thrive.
  9. Nah, Moorhead almost died of a perforated colon. MC had nothing to do with that.
  10. Michigan Football: If Dante Moore visits Oregon, it’s cause for concern GBMWOLVERINE.COM Oregon is the top threat for Dante Moore and according to a new report, he could visit there this... The Michigan fan base and talking heads are obviously concerned about Moore potentially visiting Oregon this weekend.
  11. Google Image Result for https://thumbs.gfycat.com/ImaginaryPleasingHammerkop-max-1mb.gif IMAGES.APP.GOO.GL Charles, you referred to this 'loaded option' back in November 25, 2014. Time for a revisit!
  12. Maybe the Ducks put in a play or two against the Fuskies with McGee, Cardwell and Jones or Dollars behind Nix. DL can shake his fist at the UW sideline and yell "Don't you just WISH you had this BONE!"
  13. I'm waiting for a moment of conception offer. Let's see, mom was a track star at University of So-and-So and dad got drafted in the second round by the Falcons. Incredible push off and stroke on that flagellum. The ultrasound shows the potential for 6'4" and 230# lean body mass with a 37" vertical and a sub 4.5 sec 40. Sign that kid up for the class of 2040.
  14. Maybe there are a lot of Duck fans in Beijing. Or Xi Jinping digs his JH #10 jersey and wears it to the CCP informal Friday bar hops. And let's face it, the Ukranians could use something to take their minds off the shirtstorm going on in the Donbas right now. That said, thank you Charles for the efforts you must make to keep OBD forum hacker-free.
  15. I have to agree with stormrider on this. We can all see MC's shortcomings as a head coach looking back over the last few years. Great recruiter and iffy in game manager. Limited offensive creativity with an overemphasis on brute force and 'physicality'. Even the Rose Bowl season was a study in untapped potential for Herbert and the offense. The defense kept Oregon in that game and a few others, ASU notwithstanding. I've become convinced that MC going back home to Miami was good for him, and good for the Ducks. No ill will. He left us in better shape than when he got here. I'm ready to move on and embrace the LanninEra, for as long as it lasts.
  16. Thanks for the video, Hayward. Appreciated that it wasn't hesitant to show both Nix's upside and pick problem, particularly throwing behind receivers and across his body when going to the left, trying to make a play.
  17. White was just saluting the OSU fans with a little Kiwi greeting, "Oi, mates, tell yer Mum I said g'day". Texas just beat OSU to advance to the finals at the WCWS. Though White got the Ducks close, he never made the finals. Oklahoma is a juggernaut this year so I doubt it will be White's first natty.
  18. Right now the hype and NIL paydays seem to be going to the 5* QBs who maybe are more important to the college game than other positions. But what does every 4* and 5* kid really want? To get a hug from Roger Goodell on the big stage day one of the draft and put that franchise hat on. That now means elite edge players, OTs and CBs as much as QBs. NIL money pales in comparison at that level. DL and Georgia put a ton of defensive players in this year's 1st round and won a NT with a decidedly 2-3* QB, who while an absolute gamer, will likely never sniff the NFL. My point is that blowing the NIL bank on a 5* QB right out of high school doesn't necessarily pencil. Defense still wins championships and spreading NIL around may be a better approach. The QB transfer portal has paid dividends (Burrow at LSU) when other talent is there to complete the puzzle. It strikes me that Oregon under DL and the current leadership is doing just that.
  19. Amen to these responses. Posters on OBD Forum are insightful, informed and occasionally very funny. We are all passionate Duck fans but try to keep our pie-in-the-sky impuses under control. We may show apoplectic, rabidly hydrophobic and irrational hatred of everything Fusky, but I say, why not? Stalin did make the trains run on time. Usually to the western front, the gulag and the Molotov cocktail factory. And he coined the quintessential phrase about communism, "You pretend to work, we pretend to pay you." Charles, you are not Stalin. Or Marx. Or Lenin. Or Groucho, Harpo, Chico, Zeppo, Gummo, John, Paul, George and Ringo. You run a good website. Go Ducks!
  20. My uncle served in the Army in WWII. My dad was a quartermaster in the Navy at Huntington Beach. He wanted to be on a carrier but had TB as a child and got stuck portside for the war. He was a damn good quartermaster. I remember going fishing in Tomales Bay as a boy with Dad and his best friend, who lost a leg at Guadalcanal. No one ever pissed and moaned about their sacrifice. They did it because they believed it was their duty. I was fortunate to have them as my role models and I am here because of the grit and the sacrifice those men were willing to make in the cause of freedom. I never forget that.
  21. Quincy Guerrier announces his withdrawal from the NBA Draft, return to Oregon 247SPORTS.COM Dana Altman and the Oregon Duck men's basketball program got some good news Friday... This is pretty good news for MBB. Perhaps even more than Richardson's potential return if his NBA evaluation is not as high as desired.
  22. Helf may have let Tua slip thru the fingers, but consider if he had come here. There isn't a snowball's chance he would have led the 2017 Ducks to a NC and I don't think he would have been an improvement over JH given the system MC installed. Instead either Tua or Herbie would have ridden the pine. So who would Oregon fans have been happier with in the long run? And which quarterback are we proud following in the NFL as the hometown boy?
