  1. Spring football practice is scheduled for today and from what I have read, it is to be a scrimmage. Media are not allowed in for scrimmages, but there will be interviews and articles afterwards. I am starting this thread early so that posters may start dropping items in as they occur. There are 15 spring practices scheduled this season. Each practice will have it's own thread on OBDF and all articles in that thread will only pertain to that particular practice. This should help in keeping information organized and make it easier for our readers to navigate. FYI, in the article below you will see the dates for the practices scheduled. Be sure to check in later today as practice articles, interviews, and updates start coming in. 2. Roster Outlook: Ducks' MBB roster takes form ahead of 2023-24 season A month ago, we took a look at the Oregon Ducks men’s basketball roster and projected ahead, looking at all of the players currently in Eugene, and determining what the likelihood would be that they return for another year under Dana Altman. Since then, a lot has taken place for the Ducks. Some players have announced their return, while several others entered the transfer portal and are now looking for a new team. Oregon has also welcomed a few transfer portal players that will join the roster next year, along with some incoming recruits. The Ducks are allowed 13 scholarships in 2023, so where do they now stand and how many spots are open on the roster? Here’s the latest after the recent transfer portal activity. 3. Torres' Take: The Latest in Oregon Football Recruiting Emptying out some notes and intel as recruiting continues to heat up for Oregon in the 2024 class. The spring game is next weekend, which means Oregon will host its most impressive group of visitors all year. The only weekend that comes close to matching that level of talent is the Saturday night live camp, typically held every year in Eugene at the end of July. All eyes are on next weekend and the potential for some serious fireworks, but there's plenty to talk about this weekend. Here are some of my thoughts and what I'm hearing on top Oregon targets. This is a good recap of where the Ducks stand with some of our top recruits. All recruits are 2024 in the article except for Gary Bryant Jr. who is in the transfer portal for the 2023 class. To catch up on the latest recruiting targets, click to read the article in Ducks Digest.
  4. Ducks favored to win all but 2 games in 2023 season, per ESPN's FPI It may be incredibly early in the year to be making any bold predictions or proclamations; the Oregon Ducks haven’t even played their annual spring game yet. However, we’re in the business of predictions and analysis, so forgive us for looking ahead and trying to figure out how many games the Oregon Ducks are going to win in the 2023 season. Once the schedule was released back in February, we looked at the matchups, the order in which they came, and the likelihood that the Ducks make it out of each week unscathed. Our end result was an incredibly impressive season for Dan Lanning and his team, which could put them in the Pac-12 Championship and potentially, in the College Football Playoff as well. Our predictions were based on opinions and gathered information from talking to coaches, players, and team sources while watching practices every week. Recently ESPN’s Football Power Index released their schedule predictions for every team in the nation, largely using numbers as the reasoning. In short, they looked at Oregon’s 2023 schedule and predicted what percent chance the Ducks have to win each game. Throughout the year, the numbers will change based on past performance, injuries, and a whole myriad of variables that take place throughout the season. Let’s take a look at what the numbers say this spring...
