  1. Nation's No. 1 RB Jordon Davison Has Another Strong Visit to Oregon Jordon Davison is the top offensive recruit on the West Coast in 2025 and an early priority for the Ducks. 025 Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei running back Jordon Davison is the No. 1 back in his class and made the trip out to Eugene for Oregon vs. USC last weekend. Ducks Digest caught up with the highly-coveted ball carrier to discuss his Oregon visit. “I just wanted to see what they were doing with their backs in person," he said of why he got up to Eugene. "I just wanted to see what the process is and how everything is ran up there.” Bucky Irving and Jordan James have been putting on a show all year and Davison liked what he saw. “I’ve seen a lot of positives. I like how they use their backs in the pass game and the run game. Most of their stuff is creating one-on-one matchups with the backs. I like how they do that.”... 2. Lanning on ASU HC Kenny Dillingham: 'He's doing exactly what I anticipated him to be able to do' Oregon's end of the 2022 regular season brought an avalanche of bad news, as the Ducks blew a 21-point lead to the rival Oregon State Beavers in a loss. Within an hour, offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham was off to become the head coach at Arizona State. Arizona State served as the common ground for the kindling of a relationship between Oregon head coach Dan Lanning and Dillingham, as Lanning was a graduate assistant under Todd Graham, and Dillingham was a high school coach in the area. The two would reunite again before Oregon, this time at Memphis under head coach Mike Norvell. The two coached different sides of the ball, going against each other every day in practice. Now, flash forward multiple years, and the two are some of the youngest head coaches in college football, with Dillingham as the youngest by over a year at 33. When Saturday's matchup begins, it'll be just like the old days between Lanning and Dillingham. However, this time, they'll be on opposite sidelines, squaring off against each other in control of their respective programs... 3. Kenny Dillingham says freshman QB Jaden Rashada is 'not going to be ready' to face Oregon Kenny Dillingham has not seen enough from freshman Jaden Rashada this week to turn the keys back over to the previously injured quarterback. Rashada made his return to full-contact practice in Tempe this week. However, Dillingham does not believe it wise to play him in Saturday's game with No. 6 Oregon. "Obviously, he's not going to be ready this week to play," Dillingham said on Wednesday. "Our goal is just to continually get him back and ready. He could be maybe an emergency guy." Kenny Dillingham says freshman QB Jaden Rashada is 'not going to be ready' to face Oregon 247SPORTS.COM Oregon is unlikely to face freshman quarterback Jaden Rashada on Saturday. Rashda has missed the last two months with an...
  4. Injury Report: Updated look at injury news for No. 6 Oregon and ASU There are just two more regular season games left in the college football season and Oregon has avoided the major injury news that plague most teams this time of year thus far. Although the Ducks injury report is getting a bit long in the tooth, there aren’t any significant ailments that should keep any players out of this week’s contest with Arizona State. However, the same can’t be said for Kenny Dillingham’s Sun Devils as they have been hit with a barrage of injuries, including freshman quarterback Jalen Rashada. ASU’s injuries might have kept them from winning a couple of more games this season, but considering Oregon is fully loaded, the injuries shouldn’t have any impact to the ultimate outcome of the game in Tempe on Saturday. Here’s the injury list for Week 12... Injury Report: Updated look at injury news for No. 6 Oregon and ASU DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Injury Report: Updated look at injury news for No. 6 Oregon and ASU

  8. Predicting the Final Score of No. 6 Oregon vs. Arizona State The No. 6 Oregon Ducks (9-1, 6-1 Pac-12) travel to Tempe this week for a matchup against the Arizona State Sun Devils (3-7, 2-5 Pac-12). Oregon is flying high after a commanding 36-27 win over the USC Trojans, while ASU is also on a high after knocking off UCLA 17-7 on the road at the Rose Bowl. If you've followed Oregon for a while, you don't need me to tell you that trips to the desert haven't been kind to the Ducks. In fact, Oregon lost this very matchup the last time these two teams played in 2019. But maybe Dan Lanning has the Ducks ready to outgrow their hiccups against Arizona schools after a 49-22 win over the Wildcats in Tucson last year. As for this week's game against Arizona State, they aren't a team that should be overlooked, even with a 3-7 record. ASU's defense hasn't looked amazing overall, but they've had some bright spots this year and have helped keep the Sun Devils in close games. They held Michael Penix Jr. and Washington, one of the best offenses in the country, to just 15 points and are a group that plays tough. To access the details in the article, click here.

  10. Where Oregon's defense ranks nationally in key statistics after win over USC When going up against a reigning Heisman Trophy winner and one of the best offenses in the nation, it’s not always easy to put up numbers to go along with your season-long averages. That’s what the Oregon Ducks were able to do, though, giving up just 27 points to the USC Trojans in a decisive win, while slowing down Caleb Williams and completely shutting down the opposing rushing offense. After the performance, the Ducks still stand as one of the top defenses in the nation, holding strong in the national rankings going into the final two weeks of the regular season. Here’s a look at where they rank nationally in some key statistics going into mid-November... 11. Series History: A look back at past Oregon vs. Arizona State matchups This weekend, the Oregon Ducks will play their last Saturday game of the 2023 regular season, heading down to the desert to face off with the Arizona State Sun Devils. This will be the 49th meeting between these two schools, and likely their last meeting for quite some time due to conference realignment in 2024. While the Ducks have been a better program historically, the Sun Devils have shocked Oregon plenty of times in recent years, especially at home. Of the 38 previous matchups between Oregon and Arizona State, the Ducks have won 20 and the Devils have won 18, including the most recent matchup in 2019. During that last game, Oregon was down 21-24 in the fourth quarter with a good chance at winning, but the Devils silenced the Ducks with a touchdown from Brandon Aiyuk, the now San Francisco 49ers WR, in the final minutes... 12. Hypothetical BCS rankings aren't as high on Oregon Ducks as CFP rankings One of the more interesting debates that’s come up over the last few weeks is regarding one-loss teams in the nation, and which schools should be ranked ahead of others when you look at resumes. Largely, the conversation has been in regards to the Oregon Ducks, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Texas Longhorns. While Texas has the best win of the three, beating Alabama earlier this year, it’s hard to argue that any team in that group has looked more dominant and complete than Oregon, while Alabama has been coming on as of late and has a couple of impressive wins in the last month. The College Football Playoff committee has held strong in their opinion that the Ducks are the top one-loss team, followed by the Longhorns, and then the Crimson Tide. One thing we like to do throughout the season, though, is look at what the BCS standings from last decade would have done with the rankings using their formula. It was a time when there wasn’t a committee of voters who decided the final rankings each year, but rather a set of computers that calculated the final rankings based on numerous formulas that often led to convolution and controversy. Just for our entertainment, we wanted to look at how those BCS standings would look if there in practice today. Take a look... Hypothetical BCS rankings aren’t as high on Oregon Ducks as CFP DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM In a hypothetical world where the BCS standings are still a thing, the Oregon Ducks wouldn’t fare quite as well in 2023.
  13. Ranking Oregon's top 10 players vs. USC according to PFF grades The Oregon Ducks left Saturday’s win over the USC Trojans feeling like they could have played a much cleaner game than they did, and the penalty yardage certainly supported that idea. While they found a way to win comfortably, the scoreboard wasn’t quite indicative of how lopsided the game really was. The grades from Pro Football Focus reflect that as well, giving certain Ducks high scores, but overall not one of the best performances from the team this year. As we like to do each week after the game, let’s dive into the PFF grades to see which players had the best underlying metrics, giving us a deeper look than just what the box score shows... 14. College Wire's Pac-12 writers make their Week 12 selections The last football season of the Pac-12 is almost over and it’s difficult to believe this is it. The standings are shaping out about the way we all thought it would be with Oregon and Washington is still on that collision course for Las Vegas. But all of that could be derailed with the Huskies traveling to Corvallis to play the 10th-ranked Beavers. Oregon State controls its own destiny if, and it’s a big if, the Beavers could pull off a couple of upsets by winning its week and their last trip to Eugene in the foreseeable future. The writers on the College Wire staff have analyzed these games as much as we can (ok, maybe not) and here are our selections for the Week 12 contests... 23. Jon Gold: Burn, Hollywood, burn -- how it all went so wrong in La-La Land For those with a zip code that doesn’t start and end with 90210, the death of the dreams of 2 once-proud college football programs might be a bit of a surprise. After all, USC entered this season with sky-high expectations while UCLA was coming off its best season in years. The Trojans have the returning Heisman winner, for Heaven’s sake! The Bruins had a star-studded defense and a new 5-star quarterback primed to take over. They also had coaches stuck in their ways. In the end, the stubbornness and misguided loyalty of both USC’s Lincoln Riley and UCLA’s Chip Kelly proved to be fatal flaws. And now where are we? USC has lost 4-of-5 heading into its regular-season finale. UCLA has fallen in consecutive weeks to scorching Arizona and slumping Arizona State. Both of their seasons? Massive disappointments... 24. 5 takeaways from Week 12 CFP rankings: Oregon, Washington get some help from Beavers, Wildcats Georgia, take your rightful spot. After back-to-back wins over top-12 conference opponents — including a 52-17 beatdown of Ole Miss on Saturday — the 10-0 Bulldogs claimed the top spot in Tuesday’s third release of the 2023 College Football Playoff rankings. Healthy for the first time in weeks and with a passing game that has taken significant strides this year, the Bulldogs bumped ahead of No. 2 Ohio State, which beat Michigan State, 38-3. Resounding victories by (most of) the rest of the top 8 teams meant maintaining the status quo, but Missouri’s impressive 36-7 win over then-No. 14 Tennessee sent the Tigers soaring. They fall right behind No. 3 Michigan, No. 4 Florida State, No. 5 Washington, No. 6 Oregon, No. 7 Texas and No. 8 Alabama... 5 takeaways from Week 12 CFP rankings: Oregon, Washington get some help from Beavers, Wildcats SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM After back-to-back wins over top-12 teams, including a 52-17 win over Ole Miss, Georgia claimed the top spot in Tuesday’s third...
