Pac-12 Power Rankings Week 12 With College Football kicking off across the country with Week 12 of the football season, we dive into our Pac-12 Power Rankings ahead of the season. We'll be updating these rankings throughout the week each Monday after games have been played. This year, the Pac-12 will be playing its last season as we know of the league in its current format. USC, UCLA, Washington, and Oregon are off to the Big 10 in 2024 while Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and Arizona State head to the Big 12. What we get though is maybe the most loaded conference we've seen in some time as five Pac-12 teams are ranked inside the Top 25 by major polls and seven or eight teams could make a bowl game. Here are our Power Rankings heading into Week 10 as the Pac-12 continues to impress the nation... Pac-12 Power Rankings Week 12 247SPORTS.COM We rank the 12 Pac-12 football teams from first to worst every week. Here is week 12's rankings. -
Where Oregon's offense ranks nationally in key stats following win over USC Earlier this week, Arizona State head coach Kenny Dillingham told media members that he was of the opinion that the Oregon Ducks’ offense in 2023 is the best that it’s been since the Chip Kelly years last decade. Coming from the person who was responsible for the best Oregon offense that the Ducks had seen since those year before this season, that’s some pretty high praise. The Ducks once again showed what they were capable of on the offensive side of the ball this past week against the USC Trojans, with QB Bo Nix having another massive performance, throwing for over 400 yards with 4 touchdowns. Unsurprisingly, the Ducks still rank as one of the best offenses in the nation going into Week 12. Here’s a look at where they rank nationally in some key statistics after Week 11... Rooting Interests: Which teams should Duck fans be pulling for or against in final 3 weeks? We’re winding down to the final two weeks of the regular season in the world of college football, and then a subsequent week of conference championship games. As we get there, the postseason picture is becoming increasingly clear, and it was made even more clear on Tuesday night with the third releasing of the College Football Playoff rankings. While there should be some confidence that the Oregon Ducks can get a spot in the playoff if they win out and earn the crown of Pac-12 champions on December 1st, there is a world where total chaos takes place, and the playoff committee is left balancing several resumes of one-loss teams when all is said and done. While an argument can certainly be made that the Ducks would stand up fairly well in that conversation, Oregon fans would rather avoid the conversation altogether. At the moment, there are five undefeated teams in the top 25, and four one-loss teams in the top 10, with the Ducks being among them. Over the next few weeks, all of those top 10 teams will face ranked matchups against very good teams, so a lot of things will work themselves out. Let’s take a look at what the most chaotic outcome would potentially be, and try to dive into what rooting interests the Oregon Duck fans should have going forward to ensure that the chaos does not hurt them in the end... Which teams should Duck fans be rooting for or against in last 3 weeks DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM A look at which college football teams Oregon Duck fans should be rooting for or rooting against in the final three weeks of the season.

UCLA could reportedly fire Chip Kelly after USC game in Week 12, win or lose A new report claims that Chip Kelly’s time with UCLA is guaranteed to end this season and could come as soon as this week. There was a time when Chip Kelly was viewed as one of the very best football coaches in the nation. Fifteen years ago he was able to turn Oregon into one of the top programs in the sport and a destination for high-level talent. Unsurprisingly, he was able to parlay that success into a run in the NFL as the coach of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013. However, after two strong seasons as head coach, Kelly wore out his welcome in Philly and was sent packing after one losing season. A failed stint as the head coach for a two-win San Francisco 49ers team in 2016 promptly ended his time in the top football league in the land. Like many former college coaches who failed in the NFL before him, he eventually made his way back to the college ranks six years ago with UCLA. Despite his disappointing run in the NFL, Kelly’s arrival at UCLA gave Bruins fans hope that he could bring the same coaching and recruiting magic he showed at Oregon to one of the most prestigious sports schools on the West Coast. Unfortunately, Kelly’s tenure in Los Angeles has been a serious letdown... UCLA could reportedly fire Chip Kelly after USC game in Week 12, win or lose SPORTSNAUT.COM A new report suggests Chip Kelly being fired by UCLA is guaranteed this year, and could come as early as this week.

Oregon State, Washington State gain control of Pac-12 board, but appeal lurks Oregon State and Washington State on Tuesday grabbed control of the Pac-12′s governing board and power of the purse that comes with it, at least for now. After a two-and-a-half-hour hearing, Whitman County (Washington) Superior Court Judge Gary Libey granted the schools’ request for a preliminary injunction that confirms they are the only remaining voting members of the shattered conference. The Pac-12 “will be governed by the two universities that have not submitted their notices of intent to withdraw,” Libey said. However, Libey stayed his ruling until the end of the week as the defendant, Washington (acting on behalf of all 10 departing members), seeks an appeal from the Washington Supreme Court in Olympia... Chip Kelly's potential oust at UCLA could lead to major opportunity for Dan Lanning's Ducks For the Oregon Ducks, that could ultimately be a positive, particularly when it comes to the players who are potentially going to transfer out of the program with a change in the coaching staff. The most notable of those players is QB Dante Moore, a former 5-star who was committed to the Ducks before offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham left Eugene to take over as the head coach of the Arizona State Sun Devils. Moore was rated as the No. 4 overall player in the class of 2023, and the No. 3 overall quarterback in the class. So far this season, he has played in 8 games, completing 91 of his 175 passing attempts for 1,344 yards, 10 TDs and 7 INTs. Whether or not you want to argue that he was thrown into the fire too quickly as a true freshman, or he is not living up to expectations is a conversation we can have, but the more pertinent topic is whether or not Moore would choose to stick around in Los Angeles without the coaching staff that recruited him. Should he choose to enter the transfer portal, you have to imagine that the former 5-star would give a serious look to Oregon, a team that currently has arguably the best offense in the nation under OC Will Stein. Moore also has a previous standing relationship with head coach Dan Lanning. After this year, Bo Nix will be headed off to the NFL, and while former 5-star recruit Ty Thompson is next in line to take over as the starting QB in 2024, it is expected that the Ducks bring in a transfer portal player to compete for the job. Could that transfer be Moore? We certainly will have to wait and see, but the report of Chip Kelly potentially being out at UCLA makes it seem like more of a possibility. Chip Kelly potential oust at UCLA could lead to opportunity for Ducks DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM With news that Chip Kelly may be fired at UCLA, the Oregon Ducks have a major opportunity to benefit when it comes to the transfer...

In hiring Richard Clark, College Football Playoff leans on leadership as sport readies to enter a new era When the College Football Playoff era began in 2014, the organization hired Bill Hancock, a 40-year veteran in the college sports administrative space, as its first executive director. In June, Hancock announced that he would be retiring from the post in 2025, and the CFP has opted to go in a completely different direction with his successor. The CFP Board of Managers hired Lt. Gen. Richard M. Clark as the second executive director of the College Football Playoff on Friday. Clark arrives to his new job after a lengthy career in the Air Force. Jon Gold: How Oregon State can pull off the impossible and dash the Pac-12’s playoff dreams Let’s just get this right out of the way: Yes, Oregon State can do what few expect them to do the next 2 weeks and beat Washington and Oregon in that order, throwing a wrench into the Pac-12’s College Football Playoff plans while dealing themselves a trip to Las Vegas. They’ve got the ground game and the defense, the passing upside and the coaching. Any other team this year? I’m not so sure. Utah barely went down swinging. USC? Come on. The Beavers are uniquely situated to pull off the improbable, bordering on the impossible. It will come down to just a handful of reasons, but it’s doable. How the Oregon Ducks performed in Week 10 of the NFL After how late the Oregon vs. USC game went on Saturday Night, I was too tuckered out for football to be my priority on Sunday, and I have a feeling plenty of you felt the same. So, below is my weekly check-in with all of the Pro Ducks, although I did miss most of the games. This was the NFL’s Week 10 which is hard to believe. Snap Count Takeaways: Major notes from Oregon's usage report vs. USC At this point in the college football season, with just two regular season games left on the schedule before the postseason potentially arrives, it’s not common that we look at usage reports from games and find many things that we didn’t already know. With 10 games down, we have a good idea of what the rotation looks like on both offense and defense, and who the guys are that get called upon in the biggest moments of the game. When you’re playing important football in November, you need to have those guys that you know you can rely on. For the Oregon Ducks, that’s certainly the case, and the usage report reflects that this week after a win over the USC Trojans on Saturday. Let’s take a dive into the snap counts and see what we can take away from them...
