Another playmaker is returning to Oregon’s wide receiver room for his senior season. Traeshon Holden announced Thursday he would be returning to play for the Ducks for one more year. Holden, originally from Kissimmee, FL, joined Oregon prior to last season after transferring from Alabama. Holden had 37 receptions for 452 yards and six touchdowns in 2023 — third on the Ducks in receiving yards and tied for third in receiving touchdowns with tight end Terrance Ferguson. Holden joined fellow wideout Tez Johnson in announcing his return to Eugene on Thursday, and the Ducks are reportedly receiving a visit this weekend from highly-rated transfer wide receiver Evan Stewart from Texas A&M... Updated transfer portal needs for Oregon as Ducks continue to build out 2024 roster The transfer portal has been bountiful for the Oregon Ducks in 2024 so far, with Dan Lanning and his team adding some elite playmakers at key positions across the roster over the last few weeks since the portal opened in early December. From Dillon Gabriel and Dante Moore, to Kobe Savage and Jay Harris, the Ducks have added some potential massive difference-makers to the roster, but they will continue to look to improve their personnel over the next couple of weeks and months, with more players entering the portal every day. There have also been a few people who have left Eugene via the portal, such as S Cole Martin, RB Dante Dowdell, and QB Ty Thompson, which have led to potential positions of need that will be addressed. Now that we’ve gotten a moment to breath after the bowl game, it felt like a good time to update the areas on the roster where the Ducks may continue to add players this offseason... Oregon has had some fantastic running backs in its school history. For years, the Ducks have had at least one 1,000 yard runner each season. Who is the best of all? Well, it's hard not to select the school's lone Doak Walker winner (LaMichael James), but because James only played three seasons, the school's all-time career leaderboard doesn't completely favor him. Royce Freeman surpassed several of James records, and former teammate Kenjon Barner is near him on other lists. Bucky Irving and his highlight-tape running make him one of the best running backs to come through Eugene. However, he failed to receive the necessary volume to statistically come close to players like James, Freeman or Barnes. Today, I've pulled out the Oregon official record book to run through the school's all-time rushing stats, compiling the 10 best in a variety of categories. This story will list the top individual games, seasons and careers of Ducks using a variety of statistical categories from completions to yards to touchdown to wins. So prepare yourself for a trip down memory lane with the ultimate rundown of Oregon's all-time running leaderboards... Report: Texas A&M receiver Evan Stewart to visit Oregon this weekend The Oregon Ducks receivers’ room is a bit jam-packed right now, but there’s always room for more. According to 247sports’ own Matt Zenitz, former Texas A&M Aggie wideout Evan Stewart is set to take a visit to Eugene this weekend. Convincing Stewart to come to Oregon would be huge news for Dan Lanning and the Ducks. He was once the No. 1 receiving prospect when he was in high school before signing with the Aggies as a part of their No. 1 class back in 2021. In his first two seasons, Stewart hasn’t disappointed, but his stats dropped a bit in his sophomore year. Stewart wasn’t the only player in College Station to have a down year in 2023, however. The six-foot, 170-pounder has a total of 91 catches for 1,163 yards and six touchdowns. In 2023, he just had 38 catches for 514 yards and four scores in eight games. If Stewart did come to Oregon, he would fit right in with the likes of Tez Johnson, Traeson Holden, Gary Bryant, Jr., Jurrion Dickey and more weapons for new quarterback Dillon Gabriel to choose from. Oregon might have the most potent passing back in the country with this addition... Oregon TE Casey Kelly enters the transfer portal Following the Oregon Ducks Fiesta Bowl win, the group of Ducks in the transfer portal has grown, and on Thursday, Oregon’s tight end room got a little smaller. Ducks TE Casey Kelly entered the transfer portal on Thursday, after spending one season at Oregon. Kelly played his first three seasons at Ole Miss, the alma mater of his brother Chad Kelly and uncle Jim Kelly — a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Casey Kelly will have one year of eligibility remaining. Despite appearing in 13 of 14 games for the Ducks in 2023, Kelly didn’t have much of a role in the Oregon offense. Kelly finished the season with 5 catches for 43 yards and 2 TDs. His size and strength made him a valuable goalline target for the Ducks, but it’s likely he wants a bigger role in his final season of eligibility. For 2024, it seems likely the Ducks will return starting TE Terrance Ferguson for his final year as a Duck. Oregon will also bring back senior TE Patrick and standout freshman Kenyon Sadiq for his second season. Oregon Football: Ducks TE Casey Kelly enters the transfer portal DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Casey Kelly, a former Ole Miss TE who transferred to Oregon, entered the transfer portal again on Thursday.

Ducking the Draft: Oregon’s NFL Prospects
Pennsylvania Duck replied to Pennsylvania Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Where is the best landing spot for Bo Nix in the 2024 NFL Draft? It may not have sunk in yet, but Bo Nix’s career at Oregon is finished, and in April he’ll be selected by one of 32 teams to continue his career in the NFL. It seems like the Bo Nix era at Oregon just began, but it will be fun to follow Bo as he continues his journey into the NFL. With the level of quarterback talent in this year’s class, a first-round selection isn’t guaranteed for Nix, but he is still one of the best prospects in the draft. On Tuesday, Trevor Sikkema of Pro Football Focus (PFF) listed the best draft prospect for all 32 NFL teams, and he named Nix as the Denver Broncos top prospect. Sikkema had this to say about the former Ducks QB... 2024 NFL Draft: Where is the best landing spot for Bo Nix? Troy Franklin has made a case for himself to be the best wide receiver in program history. His 2023 season is undoubtedly the best ever, as he broke all major school records (although one fell to teammate Tez Johnson on Monday). The 2023 season was undoubtedly the best passing season the program has ever had and it includes two of the best individual receiving seasons too. Franklin and Johnson each now sit at or near the top of every major single-season record. Today, I've pulled out the Oregon official record book to run through the school's all-time receiving stats, compiling the 10 best in a variety of categories. This story will list the top individual games, seasons and careers of Ducks using a variety of statistical categories from receptions to yards to touchdown. Football Recruiting: Building the Wall Offensive skill players may make for splashy headlines, but the real meat of Oregon’s best ever recruiting class is on the defensive side of the ball. It is not an accident that the three highest rated recruits in the class play the three positions in the defensive front seven. Defensive lineman Adin Breland, edge Elijah Rushing, and backer Brayden Platt have the potential to be instant impact players and mainstays for the next few years. Today we take a look at the green monsters that will look to feast on Big 10 ball carriers and QBs for the next several seasons... Our 6th thread for this topic has reached a 2nd page and has gotten too cumbersome to handle. So, I am starting a new thread (No. 7). NJDuck and I have never gone through a whole year cycle of postings regarding recruiting before, so this has been a learning experience. Along with the fact that Coach Lanning and his crew are such good recruiters, this thread grows quickly. We are keeping this thread to one page as advertising is most advantageous that way and needed to pay costs of site. If you need to refer back to No. 6 for reference, click here.
