  1. I am getting in on this. I am very confident in Oregon winning this game. Oregon made a bunch of mistakes last time around and still won the game. IMO they left 11+ points on the table. Over the past 2 games, Oregon's offense is really clicking and scored 40+ on both a Top10 team in pass defense and a Top10 team in total defense. I don't see any reason to think they won't score 40+ here. Also, IMO the media is overacting to what osu2 did to Tennessee, who had a freshman QB, on the road, and struggled all year to score points. Oregon 43-28 1 4 385
  2. 💯. DT's decision-making ability was outstanding. He was the ultimate game manager. Not only did he not make critical mistakes, he rarely missed a read in that offense. He was a master in Chip's offense and executed it at a very high level. I still believe that if Chip had not been so stubborn in that game forcing the run in the first half and had unleased DT sooner to throw the ball all over the field, we would be sitting on a Natty right now.
  3. IMO, to win the entire thing, you are going to have to beat tOSU at some point. So what does it matter if it is next week, the week after that or in the final? Therefore, I am not too upset about the draw. You either win the whole thing or you don’t. For me it doesn’t matter which round you get knocked out in. As a wise man once said, “If you ain’t first, you’re last”. If Oregon does lose, I still think the season is a huge success. Going into the BIG and running the table was amazing first year accomplishment. Lanning has this thing moving in the right direction and IMO it is only a matter of time until he wins one, if it is not this year. That being said, I really think Oregon is going to win this game by 7+ points. Last time around, the offense was doing whatever it wanted and they left 10+ points on the table. The scary thing is that the offense is playing better right now. I have confidence in Lanning and this team.
  4. I also have a couple of cats….Pazzo and Lucca.
  5. This is Hank. He is 3 years old. He always sleeps during Duck games.
  6. Good article! The Alabama situation is hilarious. First they lose to a 6-6 Vandy team. Then, after losing again to Tennessee in late October (who got blasted by tOSU in the playoff), they got rolled by three scores and didn’t score a TD against a team with 2 conference wins in late November. If that happened to any team outside the SEC, they wouldn’t be ranked in the Top 20. Of the three loss SEC schools, Alabama is actually the least deserving of the three to be in the discussion IMO. They certainly don’t clear South Carolina, who won their last 6 games in October and November, three against Top25 teams and one against a playoff team. Ultimately, I think the committee got it right with SMU and Indiana in the field, and completely agree with the article that there is a huge gap between the Top 4-6 teams and the rest of the pack every year.
  7. I don’t really see any issue with what he said. He’s pissed they lost and essentially, he didn’t get down soon enough. That wouldn’t sit right with me either and I would want a second chance at it.
  8. The way I look at this right now is that you are going to have to beat OSU2 to win this thing one way or another. Might as well be the next round.
  9. Is Drew Allar wearing an ascot?
  10. Wow. Very unimpressed with Cignetti. Punting at the opponents 37? Punting down three scores in the 4th at midfield. Mario 2.0. terrible.
  11. Update on Evans. Sounds like he is back at practice, but limited a little. Oregon forward Kwame Evans Jr. could return to practice following left knee injury WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM Oregon forward Kwame Evans Jr. appears to be OK following a left knee injury on Sunday.
  12. I am with you. He made the Freshman All American team in 2023 and led the country in both kick and punt return average. He is a dynamic player and if used correctly, he should have similar production to Tez if he joins Oregon.
  13. 100% agree. If you look at the Top 20 rated Oregon QB recruits of all time, half of them didn't play much and/or ended up leaving. That list includes: Johnny Durocher, Jeff Lockie, Cody Kempt, Terry Wilson, Braxton Burmeister, Morgan Mahalak, Jake Rodrigues, Tyler Shough, Ty Thompson, and Travis Jonson. Even with blue chip QB prospects, you essentially have a 50/50 shot that it is going to work out.
  14. LOL. GOAT? So this kid is better than Bo Jackson, Barry Sanders, Troy Aikman, Lamar Jackson, Herschel Walker….etc? Not even close! Props to Hunter on a great season and playing both ways. He is a special talent. But he is not even the best player in the 2024 class. That honor goes to Jeanty, who was the highest rated position player EVER in the running for a Heisman.
  15. I like Option 1 with eliminating the CCGs. Just let the 16 best teams in at the end of the regular season and include the conference winners. Then seed them properly. Is getting a bye an advantage in this format? In addition to the current seeding issues, I believe the bigger issue is that these teams are going to be off for 25+ days between games. I am curious to see how that plays out.
  16. I had no idea that the Sports Illustrated magazine was still in production. I had not seen one or heard anyone mention it in years. I figured it was toast like a lot of other stuff in print. If it is not digital, I don't read it.
  17. Where did this kid come from? He has no ranking, but his video looks pretty good! Anyone know anything about the kid?
  18. There are a bunch of guys that are struggling right now, and this team is still winning games in November and December. That is a great sign for an Altman team. Shelstad has just been off. Bamba is working through a terrible shooting slump. The last three games he is 2-13, 0-fer, and 2-7. Moss just doesn’t look comfortable out there yet. Evans had a rough stretch too, but was looking good last night before the injury. The good news is this team is very deep and there almost no dropoff when you go to the bench. There are 10 guys that can hurt you on any given night. If Shelstad, Evans, and Bamba can turn the corner, this is going to be a very hard team to beat in March.
  19. Dana said in his presser that he banged it really hard and that it is going to be sore, but they didn’t think anything was structurally wrong. That is great news if true.
