  1. Dante is just on another level! This young man can play some ball! Thank goodness he is finally healthy
  2. Ducks playing very good defense, moving the ball well on offense, and seemed to have settled with the turnovers. Dante is being Dante, get him the ball down low and don’t turn it over! Ducks looking good, just keep it up!!!
  3. Absolutely, shoot well and hit some threes! Also keep Dante out of foul trouble and on the floor. Do this and the Ducks roll! GO DUCKS!!!
  4. I watched a segment earlier today where Barkley was filling out his bracket. He picked Oregon to get to the Final Four and advance to the Championship Game but lose to Arizona. I know I know, it’s Barkley. But still kinda cool. Yes he seems to be picking longer shots, but he does know some ball.
  5. Colorado is pretty good. Simpson, da Silva, and Lampkin are dang good players. It was a good game, Boise St was with them to the end.
  6. Incredible! What a game!!! N’faly Dante is the man!!! Dude is ridiculous! Congrats Ducks!!! Good luck in the Tournament! I’ll be pulling for you guys! GO DUCKS!!!
  7. It looked for a minute like this one might get away, but the Ducks woke up and closed the half strong! Really good game!
  8. Just wondering if you guys could help me out. Are there any particular matchups I should be looking for in this game? Also, who are the expected difference makers in this game? I’ve watched Oregon a bit but not enough to know the team well. I know almost nothing of Colorado except stat lines and highlight reels. Any insight will be appreciated. Thanks and GO DUCKS!!!
  9. I’ll be pulling for you Ducks!!! I can’t wait!!! GO DUCKS!!!
  10. I agree with much that you point out. In my opinion, the decision that the committee made shows no continuity or consistency and was a terrible decision. It looks kinda like the committee uses the guidelines that best fits the result they want to achieve. I’m sure like most things, it ultimately comes down to money. And also that the committee didn’t want to leave out the SEC. To me, FSU earned the right and should have gotten a chance. But it was thought that they weren’t good enough and got left out. Like you said, it’s all subjective opinions. But if we are being honest, how does the number one team fall 5 spots by loosing to Bama by 3? If we are selecting the best 4 teams, how is GA out? If GA were to play either of the 4 playoff teams in a bowl, how many would be favored to beat GA? Likely GA would be favored against them all. I’m not advocating that GA should be in, I’m just pointing out the hypocrisy of the narrative. GA lost when they shouldn’t have and unfortunately circumstances this season kept them out. And I’ve heard many analysts say “well it isn’t about being fair”! This is hypocritical as well. Everything we are supposed to teach players should revolve around fair sportsmanship and integrity for the game. Yet at the highest level we demonstrate something completely unfair and say it’s okay! I’ve no love for FSU, in fact I grew up despising them. I grew up about an hour from Tallahassee and had to continuously hear about how great the Noles are! But they absolutely got hosed!!! Looking at past rankings and selections, I just can’t see it any other way than FSU got royally screwed!
  11. Oh yeah , that rings a bell! A commercial with the “avocados from Mexico” jingle! Apologies @SmithRiverDuck sometimes it takes me awhile
  12. Lol, I have to admit that I’m not sure of your meaning here. Perhaps it went straight over my head. I do however love avocados! I have some Mexican friends that can work wonders with an avocado. They even taught me to make a very delicious guacamole! Many times it has since been a game day staple for me.
  13. I absolutely agree, and I applaud the observation of @AllOregon . And like you @Charles Fischer I also am determined to remain a fan. A fan of my Dawgs, of the Ducks, and ultimately CFB in general. I can’t say I’m a fan of all of these changes, but I try to understand that something that is of the magnitude of CFB will without doubt evolve over time. In this case it feels like a few very drastic changes very quickly, which is likely why some of us are unsure or apprehensive about them. But I guess that is the nature of this particular beast, for reasons beyond any fans control. Like you, I’m doing my best to adjust to this new reality. It will be what it will, and I’ll continue to love the Dawgs and the Ducks!
  14. I certainly understand your point. Lanning and Co are starting to show their recruiting prowess, and it’s natural to be concerned that many good players might leave with visions of the grass being greener elsewhere. This happening can easily lead to animosity, but as Oregon continues to recruit well and play the portal well, the truth is honestly somewhere in the middle. A program that excels at recruiting and successfully uses the portal will ultimately be looking for scholarship spots for incoming players. It stinks but this has been happening at GA, and it will happen at Oregon soon. Very good players will be pushed aside to make room for very good players that fill a need for the program. Sure, we all lose players that we want to keep, but it’s turned into more of a business model. In the future there will be many players that love Oregon that will likely be asked to enter the portal bc the program has different needs or bc they haven’t meet expectations. CFB has and is changing. GA hasn’t been extremely active in the portal, but they will and have certainly used it to fill needs. And GA just signed 28 recruits, they have no choice but to make room. My point is that sure recruits are in the business of exploring and looking for a better situation, but the programs are doing the same. I’m not a fan of it, but this is where we are. And it goes without saying that I’m certainly no expert in these things! This is just what it appears to look like at the moment for myself.
  15. Thanks, it’s certainly no blockbuster, but how can you not enjoy that movie? Cromwell was great in it IMO.
  16. This is my movie quotation of Lanning responding to the B1G a few weeks after Oregon plays their first games in the B1G: “You ain’t so bad, you ain’t so bad, you ain’t nothin!!!” B1G response “You must be crazy or somthin, you just a crazy fool!!!” And this was luckily before Mr T pitied the fool!!! For younger folks- it’s a Rocky 3 reference leading into the A-team. In truth, it’s also before my time, but bc of VHS it is still relevant to me!
  17. I absolutely agree. Don’t get me wrong, I think for the majority, the star rankings are warranted when you are looking at sheer talent. But talent evaluation for schools is huge!!! Not everything can easily be measured when a player is 18 years old. GA has been very good at this in recent years and it has paid off. For much of this Lanning was a huge contributor. Lanning is right now a very good recruiter! IMO, he is on tract to be in the Kirby Smart field of recruiting in time! I don’t say that at all in arrogance, I say it as very much a compliment.
  18. That’ll do Duck, that’ll do!!! Obviously I reference this in a good hearted and comical sense! I’m very excited about the Ducks recruiting and portal moves!
  19. Oh yes, I still believe. As long as Lanning is HC, the Ducks will continue to be competitive at the highest level year in and year out. And CDL is just getting started. He has basically just gotten his feet wet as a HC. I can’t wait to see what’s coming. I expect pretty soon that every few years or so, the Ducks will exceed just competing at the highest level, and be in competition for the best team in the country.
  20. I said that just to see the reactions. You’re the only one to comment. Truthfully I don’t wish that on Bo either.
  21. Bo will be drafted in the first round by the Atlanta Falcons!!!
  22. Yes, as others have stated, he is extremely good. And as @Charles Fischer pointed out, getting Gabriel onboard early could pay huge dividends in recruiting and the transfer portal. IMO this is exactly what the Ducks needed. I truly think Gabriel will not only fit right in, it’s likely that he can help lead another very good and explosive Duck’s offense. I have been worried about replacing Bo bc let’s be honest, Bo is irreplaceable! But I honestly think this is a great move! I’m not going to talk too much too soon, but who knows? There might be something special brewing in Eugene!!!
  23. Lol, I too am a little brother. I can say with certainty that my brother and his friends loved picking on me. I was 3 years younger, close enough that I’d fight but not close enough to win the fight . My big brother passed when he was 35, your post brought back some good memories! I miss him, even if he did beat the crap out of me growing up!!!
