  1. Hell yeah!!! I gotta thank you @GatOrlando for bringing this tournament to my attention, even if you are a damn dirty Gator. Seriously though, thanks I’m enjoying watching.
  2. Really, I was a kid also and that was way before my interest in ice hockey came about. Sounds cool though, I’m gonna have to try to find some examples to look at.
  3. I wish they would find a way to put a fluorescent outline on the puck or something to make it easier to follow the puck. I’ve gotten better, but it’s so fast that my eyes can’t follow as well as I’d like. It’s also possible that my eyesight just isn’t good enough. edit: I mean this in they way that football has the yellow first down line for tv viewers.
  4. That makes sense, and stay physical with them as much as possible.
  5. It’s those breakaways that concern me
  6. Nice!!! Larkin scores!!! Up by 1!
  7. Hellebuyck playing a heck of a game so far!
  8. Power play for USA!
  9. Man is fast as hell
  10. Make it 3, one every 3 seconds!!!
  11. Two!!! Great atmosphere for some hockey!!!
  12. Cale Makar out tonight for Canada! I wish he weren’t, but this will help us.
  13. Absolutely, there will be a mix of naughty French and English vocabulary being liberally spread in Montreal tonight! They love their Hockey and take much pride every time they best the USA. I can’t blame them, heck that makes it more fun and meaningful! Go USA!!! Beat the Canucks!!! I’m excited, let’s GO!!!
  14. Thanks for the heads up. Yeah, I’ve found it on espn+. Tied up right now but the US has almost twice the shots on goal so far. I agree, the Canadians are awesome folks. I made many good friends while living and working there and still keep up with them. They love their sports, beer, and rye whiskey, so I hit it off with them right away. They are a very hospitable country in my experience. They love a southern accent also. I never thought my accent was strong until living up there!
  15. I’m a bit of a hockey fan. I lived in Canada for years and learned enough to enjoy watching. I always pull for our US teams and I’m a Leafs fan as far as NHL goes. I wouldn’t at all say I have proficient knowledge but know just enough to appreciate it. Hockey is a fun sport to watch once you get used to the speed on the game. It’s fast as heck!
  16. Absolutely, that’s what I was hoping for this postseason
  17. Well, I’m pulling for Philly, but that would put my Falcons debacle in the back seat. Damn that Tom Brady!
  18. I stand corrected, you’re right, they haven’t blitzed once
  19. I was pretty sure the Eagles have blitzed a few times but maybe I’m remembering wrong, and Kelce has been targeted several times and dropped it. One was a bad pass bc of pressure on Mahomes. Either way, I agree that they have consistently been getting pressure with 4.
  20. That Eagles pressure is relentless. KC better block much better or find a successful way to get the ball out quicker. I’m pulling for the Eagles but I’m hoping KC can make this interesting.
  21. Chiefs 24-17 Philly creates 1turnover Philly has 2 sacks KC has 286 yards passing I’m pulling for the Eagles bc they have several Dawgs on their defense, and just bc the Chiefs have won so much lately. While I think the Eagles may actually be the better team, I think it will be a close game, and it’s just hard for me to think that Mahomes and Ried will not find a way to win a close game of this magnitude. Still, GO EAGLES!!!
  22. I would love to see how Bowers would fare with a very good QB throwing and a good OC! Brock is just one of those extremely rare players, we struck gold when he chose to come to GA. He probably could have started in the NFL coming out of high school. I’m also extremely pleased to see how McConkey fared in his rookie season. He has transitioned well, it is a blessing that he has a great talent in Herbert throwing to him. It’s easy to see why these two were direly missed at GA this past season.
  23. I’m not sure exactly what to expect going forward. It’s true that the SEC has certainly dominated the sport for the last 25 years or so. It’s also true that the B1G has won 2 NC’s in a row, a statement that the top teams in the B1G can compete with anyone today! IMO the SEC has benefited for years by just the sheer number of top talent that comes from the South. Especially those big guys that can help a team dominate the LOS as you eluded to. The state of GA alone is absolutely loaded more recruiting cycles than not. The B1G on the other hand isn’t lacking in the financial area. I think it’s likely that we see things level out top to bottom in the future. Who knows for sure though what CFB will look like in a few years? I think we are still in a major transition phase for the moment. It’s hard to predict all of the impacts these recent changes will ultimately have.
