  1. I don’t think it’s likely that both Texas and Bama win out. Texas has to play at TCU, at Iowa St, and Texas Tech before presumably playing in the BIG-12 title game maybe vs Oklahoma St. They could absolutely lose one of these. Bama has to play at Kentucky and at Auburn before the SEC title game likely vs GA. Road games against KY and Auburn might prove much tougher than many expect. Saban has had GA’s number much more often than not, but GA is very likely to be a very tough game for Bama. Although, I do think if Bama wins out and wins the SEC, they are in. Fair or not, the committee will put them in IMHO. I do think that if Oregon wins out they will get in over a one loss Texas. Especially if you guys beat an undefeated Washington in the PAC-12 title game. Considering all of this is why I feel very good about the Ducks making the Playoff if they win out. I truly believe that if you guys win you are in!!!
  2. There is no doubt that the offense has just been incredible. With Nix behind center, the Ducks O is running like an Italian Sports Car, a TD Machine!!! I gotta say though, I’m almost equally impressed the the Ducks Defense. While the Offense is scoring all these points, it’s also giving the opposition offense a ton of possessions. This makes it tougher on a defense, yet the Ducks D has stepped up allowing only 16 points a game!!! To me this is incredible in itself considering the circumstances. Who knows how good this team really is? I know one thing, I see many strengths and not many weaknesses. Definitely much to be excited about!!! Go Ducks
  3. I stated emphatically on another thread that I was sure that a 1loss Oregon that wins the PAC-12 is in the Playoff. It saddens me to realize that there are realistic scenarios where this might not be the case. I’m afraid that FSU is going to win out, and will certainly be in the Playoff. I’m almost positive that 1 SEC team is in and 1 B1G team is in. Texas could win out and have a strong case. I’m hoping Oklahoma St beats them if they meet in the Big-12 Championship. Honestly though, I feel strongly that if Oregon wins out by beating an undefeated Washington in the PAC-12 Championship, they will make the top 4. Especially if they win convincingly, which I truly think they are capable of. If GA can take care of business and win out wrapping up the SEC, and Oregon can take care of business convincingly, I think there is a good chance we get what we want. A Ducks vs Dawgs Playoff game! Perhaps even a National Championship game!!!
  4. To put it very broadly, Dan Lanning is why! I’ve not been able to watch enough to give much honest critique, but I imagine that much is that the Oregon defense is tackling well, especially in space. Playing very well with gap integrity. Confusing O-lines and QBs with simulated pressure that the mint D sets up. And bluntly, just playing physical and swarming to the ball. But IMHO, Lanning is the reason!
  5. I can certainly see your point, as it seems pretty obvious that UW has the best win. However, I don’t find it surprising. FSU has some wins that the committee consider good wins. They whipped up on a highly ranked LSU and a ranked Duke. And they went into Death Valley and beat Clemson. I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if either were ranked ahead of the other.
  6. For what it’s worth here is my opinion: I would like to see Oregon get an early lead and then start grinding it out. I honestly think the Ducks can run all over this USC defense with clock killing drives that keep Caleb off the field and demoralize the Trojans defense. This strategy will likely not end with the Ducks scoring 70+, but it will be a huge statement and not take unnecessary risks. Oregon is the better team. Punish them with physical football, don’t turn it over, and do your best to keep your guys healthy.
  7. Lol, absolutely. To say they won that trade is a massive understatement. Miami paid Oregon for Mario and it freed the Ducks up to bring in Lanning!!! I’d say Oregon won the Lottery with this turn of events!!!
  8. I agree. I really hate to say this, but it would also benefit the Ducks if UGA were to drop a regular season game. If Oregon wins out, I think they get in over Texas and a 1loss tOSU or Mich that loses the B1G. A problem could arise if a 1 loss Bama beats an undefeated UGA in the SEC championship. In this scenario Bama is in, B1G champ likely in, FSU in if they win out. Leaving only 1spot. Who knows what the committee would do? Hopefully UGA wins the SEC and this scenario doesn’t come to fruition.
  9. In my opinion No is the answer! It’s not so much that Miami isn’t capable of playing very well, it’s just that FSU is very solid and much better than Miami and much more talented. Much like the Ducks, I honestly think FSU is a very dangerous team. I’ll be surprised if they don’t win out and make the Playoff. They are a problem
  10. Well I just voted for Bo and will continue to vote for him. I’m first and foremost a UGA fan, but I didn’t vote for Beck bc I honestly feel that Beck is still learning and growing as a starter and is barely scratching the surface of his potential. Also, at this moment I think it’s clear that Nix is the better QB and more deserving. I’m also pretty big on Daniels and Penix Jr. But I’m sticking with Nix!!! Hopefully Beck comes back next season and really rips it up! I think he has tons of potential.
  11. I feel much the same way. The Ducks are my #2. Of course I am compelled to pull for the Dawgs, but admit that a Ducks victory would be bittersweet. I’d love to see the game happen though. Also, I gotta say that I hope Nix wins the heisman. I think he has a great shot at it if he can stay healthy. Also, as always Go Dawgs and Go Ducks!!!
  12. IMO there is absolutely no way that a 1loss Oregon doesn’t make the Playoff!!! If that happens I will not give this Playoff any validation and the champ will unfortunately have an asterisk. That ain’t happening though! I agree with Kirk, Oregon is a very dangerous team. I really want to see a UGA vs Oregon playoff game, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried about playing the Ducks.
  13. I said I believed Oregon would be the best and most complete team in the PAC before the season started. I still very much believe this. The Huskies are also very good, but I honestly think that their road to the Playoff is tougher. They have some tough road games to get through yet. The Ducks have a few tough games left, but unless I’m mistaken they are in Eugene. Also, if the Huskies make the Championship game they likely gotta go through the Ducks. It’s tough to beat a very good team twice. My money is on the Ducks. I truly think that Oregon is the PAC team that has the best chance to make noise in the Playoff, who knows maybe win? Hard to tell right now. Going to be some great football to end our season I think!!!
  14. First off, congrats Ducks!!! Looking good! This Husky vs Tree game is interesting
  15. You sir have your priorities straight!!! Your daughter is absolutely beautiful, you are blessed!!! Those early years are precious, all of them are in reality, but I miss those early years so much!
  16. It’s kinda hard to answer but I’ll give my opinion. I think 90% of the time no he wouldn’t, bc Kirby tends to be more conservative. But it’s easy to be conservative when you feel you have a talent advantage. In this case it’s likely the smart move. But in the case of today’s game I’m not 100% sure. Two extremely good teams and your team is on the road in a hostile environment. I would say it is very possible that Kirby would have tried to take control and gone for it, if he had confidence in his offense. Of coarse in hindsight it’s certainly easy to say Lanning screwed up, but it’s all relative. If it had worked out he’d be a genius.
  17. Lol, I honestly believe that a 1 loss PAC-12 champ is assured a CFP spot this season. The PAC is strong this season, so I will be extremely shocked if this isn’t the case.
  18. I disagree, 42 yards isn’t a chip shot. Sometimes kickers just miss. Sure Cam should have made it, but there were many that missed plays they should’ve made in this game, and certainly much blame to go around. I’m certainly disappointed and feel that the Ducks could’ve and should’ve won, but shite happens, it isn’t Cam’s fault at all IMO. On a more positive note, this isn’t the end. Ducks are a very good team, no more room for error, but I honestly believe it’s still very possible for them to make the CFP.
  19. That’s awesome!!! James is a beast!!! Now I remember why I was so upset win he flipped to Oregon. Loving it at the moment though
  20. Yes it does, but this game isn’t over. Oregon’s offense has a good shot at winning this game for the Ducks IMO
