  1. Well Washington finally woke up.
  2. Gotta give ASU credit, but there is no way they should win this game... Much less on the road. Elite programs don't let up after huge wins.
  3. Washington has three points heading into the 4th. Utah or Oregon are gonna give the other a second loss. USC now has two losses, they can still beat anybody if they're clicking. Oregon State has Washington, Oregon, and USC. Is it happening again? If Washington loses to ASU, there are no more undefeated squads, and they still have a tough slate. I don't want to see two teams from the same conference make the playoffs.
  4. The B1G wants the West coast markets to tune in. Most likely they'll schedule 3:30 ET kickoffs when a West coast team goes East. They'll likely do the same whenever an East coast team goes West. It would be a big ask to get West coast kids playing on what would be 9 AM P.T. Or vice versa. I'd look for noontime kicks Pacific Time.
  5. The calming thought to most Trojans before August, was that this upcoming season was the last they'd have to see Oregon. They were moving on, their Duck issue being left at the roadside assistance they were moving on. Sadly though, they now realize that Duck is in the same vehicle with them now. They're riding shotgun with UCLA. But a Duck, and a Husky are in the backseat. "Drats". Which two programs look to be in a better position going forward? I saw physicality last week. That will carry over, even with new QB's to break in. USC will be breaking in a new guy next year as well btw.
  6. It's gonna seem weird to me next year when the SEC moves to ESPN, and the B1G goes to CBS. The biggest positive for me as a Gator fan is no more Gary Danielson. I'm sorry in advance for your first Danielson game. " I don't know Verne, that didn't look like pass interference to me. Look Verne, that is not pass interference. Verne, that call wasn't right. No pass interference!!!" He'll point out out the flaws in the lower ranked team. He'll shill out for the favorite, especially if it's one he has an affinity for.
  7. I don't know which is stranger to me, having Herbstreit calling an NFL game with Al Michaels. Or the game being on Amazon Prime. Ohio State fans were trying to lobby a politician into blocking them from having to have games on Peacock. I'm not joking about that. The argument is because Ohio State is state funded, they should not be able to force Ohio taxpayers to purchase Peacock to watch their games. That's ridiculous on so many levels. You have to purchase a cable, or satellite package to get ESPN. You gotta love fans sometimes..... Most of them.
  8. Did the B1G need both L.A schools to get the market? My guess is Fox wanted the PAC to implode. Taking both L.A schools may have been more harmful to any potential television negotiations.
  9. I've grown up dependant on computers . My math skills are beyond suspect.
  10. My bad. I thought I read it started at 35 million, then increase by a million each year until this current deal is up. The Big 12 got around 34 million, not sure what the ACC is locked into. The Utah President thought the PAC should get 50 million a year. I think ESPN was offering what the Big 12 eventually got.
  11. Kevin Warren was the guy pushing for USS, UCLA. He's an NFL guy, saw a chance to get an NFL type television deal. To the B1G purists, it was atrocious. Oddly the two you think would have the most issue with it, didn't. It's Iowa, Minnesota, Purdue, Indiana, and Northwestern who were the angriest. Many Iowa fans are peeved that Nebraska has had more matchups with Ohio State, and Michigan, than Iowa has. Once Oklahoma and Texas left for the SEC, Kevin Warren saw his chance. Coast to coast games. Every time zone, games on Fox, CBS, and NBC. It's just like the NFL. This thing is out of the bottle now. Oregon, and Washington are in the club. They can't be kicked out now. Let USC denigrate you as the bargain bin Ducks, or clearance rack Huskies. Oregon and Washington are gonna make as much as they would have if the PAC had gotten a television deal. But that amount goes up, and the exposure they'll get is invaluable.
  12. I don't think you'll need it. Win out, and you guys are practically a lock. It does take away the luster of what would have been your last game against USC though. Had they gotten away to the B1G without Puddles on their trail.
  13. Down 48 to 20 now. Three minutes. Is Penix now the Heisman favorite?
  14. USC trailing 31-13, late third quarter. Williams has thrown three picks
  15. Pittsburgh is about to beat one of those undefeated ACC teams btw. Up 38 to 21. Three minutes to go.
  16. Losing a game like today is worse in a'lot of ways, than getting blown out. If Washington blew you out by twenty, you would be upset. But it would show you there is a distance to be made up. For example the college football playoff last year TCU got blown out by Georgia. It was never a game. Those guys left that field knowing they outperformed every expectation. They just didn't have the horses. Ohio State meanwhile blew a double digit lead, and missed the game winning kick. For all time they will have a missing piece in their trophy room. They had the horses, better horses in fact. They failed to meet their expectations. But the good news for you guys , this is early October. The ACC trio of undefeated are gonna beat each other. Likewise the trio of B1G undefeateds. Oklahoma has a clear path though, and even if they lose to say Texas. One of those two will get a spot if they both win out leading to their rematch. What you need to do is win out. Have a team like Miami somehow beat North Carolina, and Florida State. They already have that loss to Georgia Tech, they aren't getting in ahead of a one loss PAC champion. Then you have Texas/Oklahoma, Georgia, Ohio State/Michigan/Penn State, and a one loss PAC champion Oregon in the playoff. So oddly enough, you need Super Mario to win tonight, and beat the Seminoles.
  17. Twenty Four to Three with a little over a minute to go in the first half. Second straight week they've gone down big early. I don't know if that'll make you guys feel any better.
  18. As your great game was going on, a former B1G quarterback leading the comeback from a former SEC quarterback. Iowa vs Wisconsin was setting college football back by 100 years. Iowa won with 37 passing yards. Meanwhile Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State scored over 170 combined points. While giving up 14 between them. One of those three is gonna be facing Iowa in the conference title game. Penn State already blanked Iowa 33-0. Iowa had like 40 yards of total offense. That was with their starting QB. He's now out for the season. The B1G West has been MAC level for it's duration. Seriously it's ridiculous that the B1G considered Iowa, Nebraska, and Wisconsin comparable to Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State. But now you can even things out.
  19. GameDay will be dull whenever Lee leaves the show. I'll miss him when he's gone. At 88 it's amazing how he still exudes that energy. Hopefully he's around for a while longer. Even if he is a graduate from that girls community college in Tallahassee. *As am I....shhhhhh
  20. What a heartbreak for those kids. I'm hoping for an encore in what will be the final PAC football game ever.. Just pull it out at the end next time.
  21. Game of the year so far. As an outsider, I'm just enjoying this on field greatness. But I hope you guys pull it out. Let's Go Bo!!
  22. I looked in after the first, saw a lot of Buff fans saying Deion was gonna put up 50. Little did they know, they needed that fifty. Congrats to Stanford for the comeback. But I really want to never see, hear, or even think about that creepy tree ever again. The angry trees in Wizard of Oz are preferable.
  23. You see , this is what I grew up with. It's okay to have a competitive fiery attitude to your foes. I haven't seen much of that coming from the West coast since moving to the region. It's good to want to crush your enemies on Friday, and Saturday. Come Sunday evening, you'll still be invited over for a good home cooked meal. What happens in between those lines, stays there. Maybe , just maybe, we may steal your mascot for the weekend. But we'll return it unharmed after the game. In Alabama there was that guy that poisoned that really old Auburn tree. I don't condone that, but if anybody ever wanted to eliminate that creepy Stanford tree, I would look the other way.
  24. Kind of like what FSU was doing this past Summer. Now Clemson is making waves apparently.
  25. I think their value isn't the same. It's like when the Big East was alive as a P6 league. They had more members in basketball than football. When the football side lost it's P6 status, the AAC was born for it's football members. The Big East became basketball only. What the Big 12 is doing is similar it appears. UCONN basketball has been rumored as a candidate, but for basketball only.
