  1. Beautiful throw by Ty Thompson for the TD. TT has looked so much better than last year. I am increasingly confident that he he could be a solid starting QB for the Ducks next year in the B1G.
  2. 42-0 at half isn’t enough? If not, we better be praying we get a transfer QB!
  3. Starters should be sitting. Lots of players are banged up and could use some rest.
  4. Or score and you can rest the second half…
  5. Bo Nix is carving up Dillingham’s defensive. 1st half: 22 / 27 (81.5% completion percentage) 381 yards 6 TD passes 0 Interceptions QB Rating: 273.3 More TDs than incompletions!
  6. Just because a play was successful doesn’t mean it was the right decision. It works the other way around too. According to Dave Bartoo, style points don’t matter. Most of the college football playoff committee members don’t know much more of football as we do and it’s unlikely they watch most of the games.
  7. I didn’t like the decision to go for it on 4th down. The defense is playing lights out, you are up by 21…just punt the ball and pin them deep. Don’t give them any momentum.
  8. Glad to see Bucky and Khyree out there.
  9. The first one was dropped. Tez sometimes drops the easy ones but makes the harder catches.
  10. Mario just had to lose a few games and have nothing left to play for before they open it up. I like the Miami fan references to caveman football. Someone called him Woody Hayes.
  11. At every level of football, games are won or lost at the line of scrimmage. USC and Colorado have flashy skilled players but their offensive lines are terrible (and their defensive lines aren’t much better). If Caleb Williams weren’t USC’s QB (he’s a baller!), they would probably have the same record as Colorado and would not be playing in a bowl game. It takes time to recruit and develop offensive and defensive lineman. This is not a position group that you can count on quickly improving in the portal, IMO. Cohesiveness is important in these position groups, especially on the offensive line, which has to act as a unit. Luckily, Dan Lanning and his staff realize this and are winning battles for 4/5 star blue chip talent on the lines.
  12. Go Utah! Since that is Oregon’s “best” win to date, it would help Oregon, if they can win out. [same with USC, since we don’t play UCLA]
  13. I read somewhere that Oregon is 0-6 at ASU in November. This is the type of game that past Oregon teams with BCS/playoff aspirations has lost. I hope the Men of Oregon come out and play a clean game from start to finish.
  14. Or Georgia to win out, which would knock Alabama out of it.
  15. Does it though? If the Beavers win, then Oregon could end the regular season with wins against two top 10 teams. Does the college football playoff committee value 2 wins against top 10 teams or 1 win against a top 5 team more?
  16. If Oregon would have converted one of its 3 fourth down attempts, especially the last one, we would have likely won the game. Penalties did not cost the Ducks that game.
  17. Surprisingly, there is no correlation between penalty yards per game and losses. That said, an untimely penalty can give the opposing team a first down or prevent your team from getting a first down (or scoring a TD in the redbone). I guess this would only matter in a critical situation in a close game (i.e., against two evenly matched teams). It kept USC in the game and made the margin closer than the game really was. College Football: Does penalty yardage really affect wins? SATURDAYBLITZ.COM College football teams who accrue more penalties and rack up that negative yardage are thought to...
  18. Oregon State University loaned their athletic department $31.8M to cover the Covid season deficit. Then they decided to spend $160M+ to expand Reser Stadium, including $45M in bonds. Sounds like poor financial management and nothing to do with Oregon.
  19. Oh no! Not the egg shells again. Was hoping that we’d retire those after the UW game…
  20. The overall talent and depth at cornerback is the best I’ve ever seen at Oregon. However, Kyree Jackson is an elite lockdown corner and we’ll need him back and healthy for the stretch run and post-season.
  21. In another interview Dillingham compared Oregon’s defensive line to Georgia’s last year in terms of physicality and toughness. That’s pretty high praise.
