2024 Duck Football Commits
Oregon commit locks in spot for All-American Bowl The Ducks have one of their verbal commits locking in his commitment to play in the top all-star game this winter. The Oregon Ducks hold the Pac-12's best recruiting class in the 2024 class by a wide margin, and a big reason for that is the Ducks being able to secure key commitments from elite prospects early on in the process. One of those commitments just locked in a special honor for his high school career. 4-star safety Aaron Flowers has announced he's committed to playing in the All-American Bowl in January 2024 in Texas. The All-American Bowl is considered the longest, most prestigious high school all-star game in the country. Early Enrollee Spring Rewind
Early Enrollee Spring Rewind: Kenyon Sadiq Here is a breakdown of what Oregon true freshman Kenyon Sadiq showed during his first spring football camp. Today, we continue this series with tight end Kenyon Sadiq. Recruit Stats: 4-star prospect / 115th-rated overall prospect /4th-rated athlete Height/Weight: 6-foot-3 / 220 pounds Outlook this fall: Of the freshmen who enrolled for spring, few entered a more advantageous situation. Sadiq was one of three scholarship tight ends on campus, and by the end, one of just two available to play in the spring game. He finished the spring game with two catches for 25 yards. With Terrance Ferguson sidelined for the final 10 or so practices of spring, the true freshmen saw an elevated practice role for a young player. All of that could ultimately pay dividends in Sadiq's short-term development. No. 18 Oregon Loses to No. 6 Stanford on Walk-off Error in Pac-12 Softball Tournament
In control most of the night, Oregon failed to close out what would have been a massive resume-boosting win and will instead need to hope for fortuitous seeding in order to host an NCAA softball regional. The No. 5 seed Ducks led 2-0 and regained the lead after No. 4 Stanford tied it in the sixth, but couldn’t hang on in the seventh as the Cardinal won 4-3 on a walk-off throwing error by Allee Bunker in a Pac-12 softball tournament quarterfinal Thursday night at Hillenbrand Stadium. Ranking Oregon's Position Groups Following Spring Football
Oregon's spring camp has come and gone, and now is the time to offer a positional hierarchy for each group on the team. Oregon's 2023 spring camp is now behind us. The team completed its 15 spring sessions earlier this month with a final walk-through following the April 29 spring game. With spring behind us, and the transfer market mostly gone too, it felt the right time to take stock of the team's roster situation. In order to do so, I've ranked each position group. This exercise is completely subjective and based wholly on what I've seen with my own two eyes. I'm considering what each group should offer on the field this year, so while depth is important, top tier talent will take precedence (as you'll notice at quarterback in particular). I ran through the same exercise to close last season. You can take a look at those rankings HERE. I've included rankings from last season with this year's standing in order to help show how the offseason has shaped each group. Ranking Oregon's position groups following spring football 247SPORTS.COM Oregon's spring camp as come and gone, and now is the time to offer a positional hierarchy for each group on the team.

Early Enrollee Spring Rewind
Eighteen members of Oregon's 2023 signing class enrolled in classes this spring to get a jumpstart on their collegiate careers. Over the next few weeks, we'll be reviewing their progress this spring and what they figure to provide the program this fall. Today, we begin this series with defensive end Matayo Uiagalelei. Recruit Stats: 4-star prospect / 44th-rated overall prospect /7th-rated EDGE player Height/Weight: 6-foot-5 / 265 pounds Outlook this fall: Uiagalelei wowed the Autzen crowd in in his debut spring game. His blend of size, strength and athleticism were hard to miss, and he finished with two tackles and one tackle for loss. The hope is that that April 29 was a sign of things to come and not a fluke. Given what was said throughout spring, it seems the former is more likely. Transfer Portal Interests for Ducks
Prediction: Oregon Poised for Transfer Portal Addition The transfer portal has been one of the biggest wrinkles in college football in recent years, but even more so between the 2022 and 2023 college football seasons. Every school has a different approach when it comes to additions and departures, but one thing's for sure: adding the right players can change the outlook for your season in a hurry. The Ducks have already added a number of big names this offseason including wide receiver Traeshon Holden, offensive tackle Ajani Cornelius and edge rusher Jordan Burch to name a few. That number should grow this weekend, as USC wide receiver transfer Gary Bryant Jr. is set to announce his college commitment on Saturday May 13. The buzz is that he'll likely decide between Oregon and Texas A&M, with Miami standing on the outside looking in. I'm predicting that Bryant will commit to Oregon and become a Duck. https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/college/article275322881.html#storylink=rss

2024 Football Recruits...Announcements, Updates (No. 3)
Latest crystal balls for Dylan Raiola and other 2024 quarterbacks The Ducks are focused on taking two quarterbacks in the 2024 college football recruiting class and landing one already at the end of last month by landing three-star QB Luke Moga. At one time, I thought that commitment could mean Oregon wouldn’t have as good a chance with Raiola or Michael Van Buren, but since Moga’s commitment, Van Buren has continued to pick up crystal ball projections to land at Oregon. Van Buren was once viewed as a Penn State lean. He’s ranked 129th overall in the 247 Sports composite rankings, as well as 11th among quarterbacks. The Nittany Lions felt like the favorite before he visited Oregon. Now, Oregon seems poised to land Michael Van Buren and Luke Moga. The Ducks also flipped four-star quarterback Austin Novosad in the 2023 cycle, so the quarterback position is going to be set going forward for the Ducks, despite missing on Dante Moore in 2023. Moore flipped from Oregon to UCLA. But Bo Nix is still going to be the starter this season and by the time the 2024 season rolls around, Novosad will hopefully be ready with Mona and Michael Van Buren ready to compete as backups, at least if all the projections prove to be true. Ducks Fall Short of NCAA Championships Bid with Disappointment in Regional
It was a disappointing week for the Oregon Ducks women’s golf team at the Westfield Regional, where they finished in 10th place and fell short of a bid to the NCAA Championships at Grayhawk Golf Club next week. After entering the regional as a two-seed ranked No. 8 in the nation, for the Ducks to fall short is nothing less than disappointing. “We’re obviously disappointed to see our season end and not have the opportunity to go back to Grayhawk for the NCAA Championships,” head coach Derek Radley said. “It was a tough week for us, but our ladies never stopped fighting and never gave up. I’m extremely proud of all of the hard work they put in this season and am thankful for the dedication they’ve shown to each other and to our program.” Oregon Golf: Ducks fall short of NCAA Championships bid in regional DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Ducks’ season ended in disappointment, falling short of an NCAA Championship bid at the Westfield Regional.

2024 Football Recruits...Announcements, Updates (No. 3)
Ducks become overwhelming favorite to land No. 3 OT in 2024 class The Oregon Ducks are trying to get bigger on the offensive line, it appears, and they might be well on their way to achieving that. Over the past several months, A’lique Terry and the Ducks have been recruiting 4-star OT JacQawn McRoy, the No. 3 ranked OT in the 2024 class. Standing at 6-foot-8, 365 pounds, McRoy would be among the biggest players on the team if he ended up coming to Oregon. Fortunately for the Ducks, it appears that the possibility could be turning into a reality. A pair of recruiting predictions on On3 came in on Tuesday that show Oregon as the team to beat for McRoy’s commitment. According to On3’s recruiting prediction machine, the Ducks have an overwhelming 92.7% chance to land the OT who is rated by 247Sports as the No. 62 overall player in the 2023 class. We will see in the coming months whether or not the Ducks can close, but for the time being they seem to be in a great spot. Colorado Leaving the Pac-12 for the Big-12?
In light of the Colorado rumors, thought all might like this article: Opinion: Unpacking Latest On Pac-12 Media Rights Negotiations SALT LAKE CITY – It’s been a while since I last addressed the topic of the ongoing Pac-12 media rights negotiations. From my perspective, not much has changed. However, a handful of interesting rumors have come up lately making it seem like a good time to dive in once more and discuss what is being said and how that corresponds to things I’ve heard. I want to make clear this is my takeaway based on educated leanings from the past several months. It should also be noted my circle is mainly focused around the University of Utah but does have some reach into the Pac-12 and national scene as well. Opinions to the following information in article: Where Is The Deal? Let’s Talk About The “Timeline” Is There Concern Of ‘Four Corner’ Schools Leaving? Academics Matter In These Negotiations. A Lot. Putting A Bow On This Round Of Discussion "That is why I also feel it is important to continue applying these rules when consuming anything on the topic of this Pac-12 media negotiation: Who would actually be involved in these discussions? Are the sources being cited reasonably specific to who would be involved? Has the messaging/attitude changed from those who would be involved? Basically, watch closely those who would be involved in the negotiation room and take your cues from them. If they don’t appear to be panicking, you probably shouldn’t either."
