Let’s Do It: GameDay Thread vs. Washington!
Yep, Chasing points. 24-29 looks a lot better than 18-29.

Let’s Do It: GameDay Thread vs. Washington!
Hopefully, the D steps up. Have been average so far. I also think the play calling needs to adjust. UW D seems to know the plays before they happen. Still a lot of time, but need to kick it in gear now.

What Husky Fans Say About Dan Lanning...
Both coaches are in year 2 at their current school. Too early to tell what each coach is. I believe both are on an upward trajectory, but to have a definitive stance is a bit silly. I'm still not sold on Jonathan Smith and he is year 6. It is curious about UW throwing stones about coaching hires. Keith Gilbertson 2003-04: 7-16 Tyrone Willingham 2005-08: 11-37 Steve Sarkisian 2009-13: 34-29 Chris Peterson 2014-19: 55-26 Jimmy Lake: 2020-21: 7-6 Bob Gregory: 2021: 0-3

SEC Destroys My Amazing B1G Scheduling Plan
Granted, it is getting harder and harder to say these kids are students, but adding games makes it more like they are employees. More games would be great, but when some people are already complaining about the length of the college season and kids having so many snaps under their belt before going the NFL, I think it will be a hard sell.

Washington Picking Fights on Three Fronts
There are a ton of moving parts, but the PAC stopped USC/UCLA from voting once they announced they were leaving. I don't see how that is any different now that everybody else is leaving. The only people really winning are the lawyers. There is definitely money, but there is also debt. OSU/WSU pay keeping the PAC, they also get the debt. With everybody leaving they are getting what they want, I'm not sure why they are fighting OSU/WSU who are getting the short end of the stick. They get a few extra years of having a bit of money, then they are G5.

B1G Scheduling Approach Throws a Bone to USC.
It is perception. By giving UO, UW, USC and UCLA 3 rivalry game, looks really bad to the "original" B1G TEN teams. You aren't going to give the new guys preferential treatment. Also, Oregon has become a national recruiter and with a ton more games in the Midwest, I say the Ducks actually gain in recruiting.

B1G: How Much Bigger Will Oregon's Audience Grow?
Well, B1G does have Peacock and that is worse than the PAC12 network. However, the number of games shown on that network is much lower than the PAC12 network. Peacock will contain eight regular-season football games and potentially up to 47 regular-season men’s basketball games (32 conference and 15 non-conference) and 30 regular-season women’s basketball games (20 conference and 10 non-conference). As of right now, the B1G is not in the normal package for Comcast/Xfinity. Comcast/Xfinity website says they offer it as part of their normal package for regions with B1G TEN teams, so I'm hoping when the Ducks join it next year, I won't have to pay extra for the channel. DishTV had the B1G as part of their normal package, but they couldn't deal done with FOX and I wasn't going to have another football season of not being able to record games.

Updated AP Top 25, Coaches Poll Rankings After Week 6
@Dr Hilarius Winning matters, but when you lose a 1 score game on the road, giving up 4 TOs I'd say the two teams are pretty equal. Then you have to go how the teams looked playing other teams. The eye test says beating OSU and Wisconsin means more than beating San Diego St. and Coastal Carolina.

Canzano: Oregon to Get a Rude Awakening in the B1G?
I agree @Nevada Dawg the football polls are voters trying to make sure their preseason poll looks right. With football there really isn't a good way to compare teams because there are so few games played OOC. I'm going with the glass half full for the Ducks and believe their D is much improved this season, but we have UW, WSU, USC, Utah and OSU who we have yet to prove it against this year. I think the Ducks could go undefeated, but I would settle for a single loss before the PAC 12 championship game.

B1G Scheduling: The Right Path of Retaining Rivalries and BIG Games
With all our Midwest games, we will open up that recruiting area even more. I'd say it is an even trade.

The B1G Announces Oregon's 2024-2028 Home / Away Schedule
I'm not a fan of not always playing UW, USC and UCLA. However, in the immediate future, we get at least 2 of them.

BREAKING: RB Noah Whittington Out for the Year
Noah only played in 3 games this season. He hasn't even used his redshirt year. He could ask for a medical redshirt this season and still have another redshirt season available.

Oregon at No. 8 in New AP Top 25 Poll
Nobody likes to admit when they are wrong. Preseason rankings Week 6 Rankings #2 Michigan #2 Michigan #3 tOSU #4 tOSU #7 Penn St #6 Penn St. #6 USC #7 Washington #10 Washington #8 Oregon #15 Oregon #9 USC Michigan has won by an average of nearly 30 points. tOSU has beat a top 10 ranked team in ND. Penn St. has won by an average of over 30 points. Not easy moving teams ahead of other teams when everybody is winning and really doing what they are supposed to be doing. Just saying B1G TEN - 3 top 10 teams PAC - 3 top 10 teams SEC - 1 top 10 team Big 12 - 1 top 10 team ACC - 1 top 10 team ND top 10 team I'd say the PAC is well respected this season. Oregon St. is ranked ahead of all 1 loss teams except Alabama and ND.

ESPN College Football Playoff Predictor (link)
If the other 4 conferences have undefeated champions, then yeah the PAC 12 would miss out. I would like to think the PAC 12 champ had played a harder schedule than the ACC or the Big 12, but the committee will look at the L column and see a 1, where as the others will have a 0. However, 4 conferences having an undefeated record has not happened during the CFP existence. We haven't even played half a season yet. Way too much football left to play.

LOOK: Ducks Unveil 'Mighty Oregon' Throwback Jerseys to be Worn Later this Year
Home team is supposed to wear white and the away team wears dark colors. Stupid dad stat, the reason why home teams wear white or light colors because before electric washers, it was difficult for away teams to wash their uniforms.

Oregon State is Oregon's Team
Yes, UCLA still has to pay CAL. It will likely be 10 mil a year.

Oregon State is Oregon's Team
Every school would accept an uncle Phil. Parker stadium sold the naming rights in 1999 to Reser Stadium for 5 million for 10 years. OSU got another 7.5 million when they continued the contract until 2024. OSU got an anonymous donation of 50 million to help reach 150 million to renovate the stadium. Sports aren't free.

Federal Lawsuit to be Filed: Discrimination, Disparate Treatment of Beach Volleyball, Club Rowing Teams
According to Title 9, the scholarships have to be proportional to the percentage of students at the University. The most recent statistics I could find were, 45% male and 55% female at the University of Oregon. If the men have 131.3, then there should be a total of 292 scholarships available at the University of Oregon. 292-131.3 = 160.7. The women are short 47.7 scholarships. I'm not sure how the articles finds 94, unless Oregon isn't offering the max allowed per women's sports. Also, the Universities don't need to have any support for club sports, so I'm not sure why/how rowing is trying to sue the University of Oregon. Male 45% Female 55% Baseball 11.7 Acrobatics & Tumbling 14 Basketball 13 Basketball 15 Cross Country/Track & Field 12.6 Cross Country/Track & Field 20 Football 85 Golf 6 Golf 4.5 Lacrosse 12 Tennis 4.5 Soccer 14 131.3 Softball 12 Tennis 8 Volleyball 12 113 Beach Volleyball 8 Being short 47.7 isn't a minor amount.

Could OSU and WSU Split $320 Million Next Season?
The CFP can't break the contract that exists thru 2024. They can't randomly change their minds about a conference. CFP isn't bound by the NCAA, but they are bound by the contract they signed. That is a nice little loophole they found.

Bill Connelly. ESPN+, Ranks the Week 4 Power 5 Undefeated Teams
It is strength of schedule is of games played to date, not for the season. All the PAC 12 teams SOS will get better as they play each other.

Shedeur vs Shough - Contrariety or Similarity?
I'll rephrase, Shedeur doesn't run the ball. ESPN has Shedeur with 25 rushes. He has been sacked 15 times, which counts as a rush. Shedeur only has 10 rushes. For comparison, Shough has 44 carries with 9 sacks.
