  1. Over the course of the game, I thought we got hosed on two calls, the interception and the P.I in the first quarter. Other than that I thought it was called pretty well. The problem is that not reviewing the interception is just fireable in my opinion, it is so obvious that it should be reviewed that the person in the booth has to be called out and possibly fired, it's inexcusable, and at best incompetent. It looks mightily like bias because it's so easy to just buzz down immediately and not let OSU to go hurry up.
  2. As a lifelong Seattle Mariners fan, the idea of reaching the world series is like some magical dream! This game really was the feeling of not simply being an upstart who is simply ahead of the game, it's simply because we have built this program to where it feel like we truly belong. With the Mariota, Dixon, even Harrington years, it sort of felt like we were getting there through being ahead of the game with scheme or we had a generational talent that we leaned on, this season feels like the culmination of work started with Cristobal (you do have to give him credit for starting to get us up there in terms of recruiting) and now we have what could be our Woody Hayes, Bowden, Saban, the guy that is here forever and establishes us as a perennial top 7 or so program.
  3. I personally supported the decision to go for it on the 4th and goal, at that point it felt like a game where you might need to keep pace TD to TD. I also felt like the defense might be able to stuff them at the line of scrimmage if they decided to run. I was also thinking about it on that last drive. I was so convinced that the receivers for tOSU would get them in field goal position, and I had confidence in their kicker to make it. I thought you might have to force them to score a touchdown. In the end I actually supporter either decision at the end of the game. I don't think I would have regretted either decision (of course I say that with hindsight).
  4. Sorry you can't say we had much luck, where did we get lucky? The "onside" kick? sorry the tOSU didn't get out of the way of what might have been an intentional play. You know what is lucky not having an obvious interception reviewed where the defensive player clearly is saying he got the ball, what's lucky is an incredibly obvious holding then pass interference call where the team is driving towards a TD. There was nothing lucky about that game.
  5. You see it's reverse psychology, you predict the loss then reap the rewards!!!! Honestly I just felt like Ohio St. was going to have too many weapons, we didn't have our best pass rusher, I wasn't sure if we could run the ball, it just felt like a game we play tough, but come up a little short as we got worn down. So proud of these guys
  6. Sure looking like that, they're winning their battles so far. Gabriel with a great throw after a bit of a bad one there.
  7. This game is going to kill me, it's weird that this not a knockout game, but I'm so wired to think it is! My gosh Holden, why would you ever do that, so selfish.
  8. Why, why do we have to constantly give up points, terrible decision again getting cute!!!!!!
  9. It's clear the B1G is going to pick and choose when to call certain things, we see it in the ACC, let's not think the league doesn't tell their refs to protect certain teams.
  10. Will Stein is not a good OC, critical third down, he goes with a trick play, it's just not sound football, completely shifts the momentum
  11. Why do we do this sort of stuff! It's completely unneeded, stop getting cute!!!!
  12. Really? Really? we botch the hold, come on guys, we can't afford that. Great response to the interception that wasn't.
  13. So now we get reviews, convenient for them.
  14. That is absolutely outrageous they didn't review that, absolute things I can't say on this site, it's clear bias
  15. yeah, honestly embarrassing from our fans, I guess money is more important for a lot of these "fans", then again I'm not there, so I guess I shouldn't say anything Nice to see the B1G refs helping tOSU already.
  16. It'll be #2 vs #4, Texas deserves to be #1, Michigan isn't a great win, but they dominated that game on the road, still is the most impressive win I think out of the top 4. We might jump Georgia after Bama just lost, but really I'm fine if we're #4, do our job, and we'll have a shot at #1 even! In the end it's about doing what you can do and we'll be where we want to be.
  17. I honestly don't know how I feel about the Ducks right now, I see a team that probably has the best set of WRs that we have ever had, a NFL TE, a great QB, but I also see a O-line that isn't mauling teams, and RBs that are able to grind yards but nobody that is truly dynamic. The defense has potential to be great, but the d-line is inconsistent, the LBs are good but nobody that has 1st day draft talent, the secondary though is truly a top ten group in the nation, probably our best secondary in a while. All of this just leads to me wondering how we're going to do against the true talent on our schedule. Our defense didn't do as well against Jeanty as I would hope a national contender would do, it makes me a bit scared about how we will do against a duo like Judkins and Henderson. I'm worried that we could become very one dimensional against the best defenses on our schedule due to the O-line struggling to really produce huge holes. I'm not mad or even disappointed, just a little concerned and curious about how good this Oregon team can be. I'm also curious to see how Lanning will do against tOSU and Michigan, has he learned from the past, or will he continue to make the same mistakes as the past two years.
  18. Yeah, it's a position I'm a little bit concerned about for next year, Sediq is a great athlete, but he's not very big for a TE, I really couldn't say how he's been as a blocker. Herbert is okay, but he seems to not be the blocker you would expect him to be, misses his assignment a little too often for how experienced he is.
  19. Very meh imo. Not bad, but the O-line has to get better, this is not a good UCLA team, we should be beating them by more, the O-line should be getting bigger holes in the run game, just not very inspired play. Gabriel has forced it a bit,
  20. I think I'm in as much shock about the score as the Georgia players, never saw this coming. Didn't think there would be a blowout either way, but this looks like an all-time blowout.
  21. I hope they drop, but I'm still weary of the media infatuation with them, they might survive, saying that it was a hard fought win, and they can afford one. Stupid, but I never underestimate the power of east coast bias, and the desire to have Miami be a story.
  22. Yeah, but I never saw actual control by the receiver, I totally get the point of the call on the field, I just saw enough personally to go with the overturn, again I would be hopping mad if I was a Hokie fan. It's one of those where it can go either way, and you better believe the ACC room was telling the official to overturn it.
  23. I honestly didn't think he had control, looked like the ball moved as the player was landing, I never saw clear control. Honestly don't think VaTech got hosed, totally would think that if I was a Hokie, but I thought it was the right call unfortunately. Miami should go down like 2 spots though, that was not impressive at all.
  24. It is what it is. It was a no-brainer to leave for the B1G, we would not have survived long term as a top 15 program with a TV contract centered around AppleTV, we might have been fine for a couple years, but it would have a been downward trend after that I think. We probably are going to get screwed at times with some time slots, but I'll take that over having all our games on streaming where nobody other than our fans watch us. The goal is a national championship, I'll take that even if it means another night game or two each season. I do understand if others disagree, just the way I look at it I guess.
  25. This is such a huge pickup. I think the O-line is the thing that has had me worried the most about the upcoming seasons. It is so important to get the big uglies up front in order to dominate the line of scrimmage. Probably has as much to do with the fact that I haven't seen many of the youngsters play since we haven't had much garbage time.
