  1. You would think it would be available by the start of the season next year, then again look at the Pac-12 network, we could have the reverse scenario happen where satellite has access but cable doesn't
  2. I don't know if anybody has heard or not, but it seems like B1G network is not available in Eugene on Xfinity, does anybody know if it's going to become available on cable?
  3. Anybody else completely forget we actually won in Boulder in 2022, man I don't remember that at all, I thought Dana was winless there. Huge game (they're all huge it seems like), nobody should worry about the rankings, it makes sense we wouldn't be ranked, we haven't beaten anyone good, the Pac-12 is crap this year (like most years), we'll get our due if we just keep winning, the committee will also take note of our injury troubles, I wouldn't be surprised if we keep winning if we get a better seed than many of the expects expect. Need to keep Colorado off balance with our defensive sets, get into our flow, and play our style, seems like usually we end up getting out of our rhythm and get knocked into playing the way Colorado wants to play.
  4. I think we'll see Washington get a few guys to come back, it usually happens where a few guys dip their toes into the portal or flirt with the NFL, then they meet the new coach and decide to come back.
  5. When I think about it, the game was actually kind of perfect for the situation, they got complacent against bad team, they got down by a ton, didn't panic, worked their way back, got Dante in against a good opposite center who will can shoot outside which we will see in this upcoming road trip, and in the end they were taught to expect a dog fight in every game during the league season. Overall I've loved all of Altman's teams except for the last two years, so this is such a joy to see a team playing with the same spirit we've come to expect from Dana's teams.
  6. Yeah, no worries, it looks like he edited his tweet, so it's easy to see how you would have interpreted it that way.
  7. I think it's important to again point out that Crepea was talking about Women's basketball, he wasn't talking about football, the women's basketball is not a good team, they beat Arizona solely because Arizona basically play like mad women on defense but they aren't talented enough so they foul a ton.
  8. I would say it's tOSU, Oregon, Michigan, Penn St, and Wiscy in that order. USC will be all over the place I think, UW might be up there if they get Fafita and TMac to come, but they lose so much I think it will be too much to replace, after that it's gets pretty dicey in terms of underdog contenders. UCLA no, Iowa no, Nebraska don't make me laugh, and then it becomes the dregs of the league where they might win a game they shouldn't but nothing more than that.
  9. He wasn't being nice though, he was saying that Oregon doesn't play defense with intensity or grit, they try to say they do, but they don't. Really I think Crepea has been pretty fair to the Ducks overall from his time covering the team. Canzano is constantly trying to either find human interest stories that he thinks will make you shed a tear, bigging up some coach that is projected as an underdog, or tries to stir the pot by putting Oregon down. Next year I'm sure we'll all have to hear from him how hard luck the Beavs are, and how the big bad Oregon/Washington are big baddies who don't care about their states, and how OSU is a pure example of how college football should be along with WSU.
  10. I think Crepea is okay, I've seen him give us our praise, but I've also seen him not sugarcoat it. That tweet was actually about women's basketball, I just saw the exact tweet that add WBB to it. I doubt he meant the football team.
  11. I doubt it, he's perfect as an instant offense type of player off the bench, I don't think he has the defensive chops to be a starter or get starter minutes. I love Peyton but he has his role pretty set, also 42% is not that great, it's ok for a 6'2 guard. Derrick White is the only player that he would supplant and he's shooting 47% (41% on 3s), and he's 6'4 with the ability to guard 1 ands 2s. Peyton isn't that.
  12. I don't think there is really any good way to have that meeting, DeBoer's was 8 minutes long and it sounds like it was even worse. Either way you are leaving and whatever you say isn't going to stop the feeling of betrayal that comes with leaving so suddenly. In all of these cases it's more the fact that a coach is leaving after such a short time at the school, it's one thing when you leave for a better job after 7 or so years, at least then you seen an entire recruiting class through to their senior year, with these guys it's a short hello and goodbye, can't even see much of a journey.
  13. Very impressed with the come back, but you can't let that happen against the teams they have coming up or else they'll be toast I think. Biggest thing that stood out today was the depth this team has. Evans has played really well recently but he had only 9 minutes, I hope there wasn't a injury I missed, it says something about the team when they can miss a guy like that and still come back from that deficit. You look at the bench and by the time they get Bittle back they'll be able to go 11 deep. Diawara probably is the guy that gets a significant reduction in minutes, but having an experienced 7 footer to fall back on would be sweet! I feel good with Tracey, Oquendo, Barthelemy, or even Cook on the floor, incredibly versatile. Last year we were starting Soares who couldn't shoot a lick, and now we have multiple wings who are straight up better than him. Dana has upgraded every position on the court either through guys getting healthy (Couisnard and Rigsby) or through additions, it's such a great thing to see that he's got his mojo back.
  14. Significant? No, but it is a lot more familiar to Smith, coached there, Northwest guy, it makes a lot more sense for him than MSU. He already has recruiting connections on the west coast, he probably could convince a lot of those guys to return to UW, I think he's more likely to stay at UW than most guys. He would lose some credibility leaving a school after only around a month and a half. At MSU you are always going to be second fiddle to UM, at UW at least you are the big team in your own state.
  15. Great response, get down by 18 the last couple years and Oregon would have folded, this year you can see they believe, started playing harder on D, made Cal take some contested shots, on offense they got a couple baskets inside, then went inside out with some open threes in rhythm, and all of a sudden it's now a 4 point game. It's going to take some time to get Dante into the flow of things, we have to play with the same ball movement and rhythm that they've had in this nice stretch, they can't get bogged down by dumping into the big man every time, they need to feed him, but not at the expense of movement.
  16. Now down 18 to a 6-10 team, embarrassing performance, Cal looks like they are the only ones who came to work, we aren't fighting through screens, little communication, terrible ball movement on offense, just a horrible perfomance.
  17. Horrible start to the game so far, bad shot selection, bad defense, down double digits to Cal at home!!!!???? Come on guys, get it together, toughen up, don't settle for 3s, and get after it on D.
  18. I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me, but I don't really want to see DeBoer go to Bama, as much as the last three games hurt, and I ultimately did root for UW to lose against UM, I do think this rivalry is better when you have two great teams playing each other. I believe Lanning would get the better of DeBoer in the next matchup, and it would be sweet to see them get over that hill. I guess part of the reason is that I don't interact with many Husky fans, I haven't gone to Seattle to see a game, and I don't really get upset over stuff I see on the internet. I love watching high intensity matchups, we still could of course depending on who goes to Seattle, but with recruiting being down, I don't see the net couple years being very kind to the Huskies now.
  19. I don't necessarily disagree with that rationale from the UW fans. I think it's a very good job, especially now that it's in the B10. It isn't a top 10 job and it's below Oregon, I think if you can get the right coach there, you have the potential for a perennial winner. Big alumni base, decent donor base, gorgeous campus, good facilities, big stadium, located in a big city. In the B10 I would put it below OSU, Michigan, Oregon, but I don't think it's that far from being at the level of Penn St. or USC. Penn St. hasn't really pushed on into an elite tier, they've been in that pattern of being good enough to beat the dross, but not having any signature wins, USC is just weird at this point, you don't have good facilities, you don't have a great fan base who is committed to winning, you do have location (but that doesn't always correlate to football now), and you have the allure of USC, All fans I think put their job a bit higher than it actually is, so I think UW fans are probably right in that it's a job that is probably a lot more attractive since DeBoer got there in the short two year frame. I'll be very interested to see who they can get if DeBoer leaves.
  20. Got it, I understand what you mean now. Makes sense.
  21. That's a benefit!? With the increase in big games at Autzen, I'm pretty sure we'll begin to hear more about an expansion of the north side of Autzen to match the South.
  22. When they went to 12 teams there are always two teams you only play once. So instead of a 22 game schedule it's 20. Big 12, Big 10, and the ACC have a 20 game schedule. Guess who has a 18 game schedule!???? Of course that would be the SEC since they have to pad that win column as they always do.
  23. Norvell would make a ton of sense in terms of someone who would bolt. I'm sure he's pissed off at not getting into the playoffs this year, he won't have a squad as good as he had this year, there was a report just a few hours ago where the program is going on probation, his OC is suspended for 3 games, and they have to disassociate from their main NIL collective due to a violation of a coach brining a recruit to meet with a booster who then proposed an NIL deal. That violation seems a bit baloney since we all know players are being recruited based on NIL deals, it seems you just can't have a school official actually bring a recruit to a booster to then propose the deal. It's like you could just have a booster "run" into a recruit and then propose a deal, but you can't actually have the school bring the two together to then make the deal. Just seems silly since you know all of these players who transfer or commit know what they are getting before the sign up, at least that's what I would assume.
  24. So excited for the rest of the season, hope everyone in here and the community becomes as focused on college basketball as they do football, this team deserves that attention I think. Could be in for a real run at Arizona if Dante comes back at the same level as before. I think they'll take care of business against Cal, and then that roadtrip to the mountain schools will say a lot, maybe we finally get a win at Colorado, if we do, we'll be in the mix to challenge Arizona.
  25. Great win in the Palouse, it's been a very tough place for Oregon for the last 6 years, huge to do this without Dante and Bittle. I hate to say this because he was a player who stayed for a long time, but the biggest difference between this year and last year is the lack of Richardson playing the point. The ball moves so much better, we have a player in Shelsted who wants the ball, wants to hit the big shot, Richardson last year seemed to never want that alpha dog mentality. It's unfortunate that we didn't have a backcourt that could help Will makeup for what he lacked, but it's pretty evident that it's a different team without him dribbling forever without any intent. We also have some big improvements in shooting, this is partly because we're moving the ball better, we're playing defense at a higher level, just more energy in our play, you can tell that they're having more fun than last year. I'm beginning to think we should be looking at trying to challenge for the league now, sort of depends on when we get Dante back and at what level is he going to be at when he comes back, but 4-0 is an awesome start especially since I think WSU is going to win a bunch of games at their place this year.
