The vast majority of you are GREAT in this thread, but you must remember that this forum is different, as we require civilized discourse. Discussion of negative is fine, but don't vent on us!

Speaking of GameDay, love the multiple Bo signs on this morning’s National GameDay broadcast from South Carolina.

Charles, David and all the other fans in Autzen enjoy the game.

 

I'm on my Right Coast game delay.  I do not start rolling the tape before 2 p.m. Eastern. I've seen enough of Sherrif Boz and I don't care about which brand of Doc Pepper Caleb imbibes. (The DJU curse?)

Horrible defense

Vikings look better than I would have thought.  

Defense inconsistent so far.

Horrible horrible defense, just abysmal on that drive. 

Offense looks great

Irving is a stud!

Offense is just fine though

Offense looking like they came to play.

Ducks allowed gains of 22, 20, 12, 9 and 8 on that drive by PSU.    

D looks slow and out of position 

Thats better, 3 and out.

I wanna believe that the D just has some jitters, and that they will settle in for the rest of the game.

Bassa got burned hard by the PSU QB. Made a big mistake by leaving his feet like that.

Ok... Oregon got lucky on that last play. Had that throw been on target, it would definitely had been a PSU TD. 

 

Lanning/Tosh need to settle these men down. To many players on defense looking like they have no idea. Hardly getting any penetration. It's Portland State! What's gonna happen next week??... Or the rest of the season with such great Offenses in the PAC?

Am I allowed to say that I don’t like Lupoi?  Never saw anything from him at his previous stops in the PAC 12.

Maybe it's more accurate to say you don't like his coaching/results. No real reason to dislike him personally.

Prolly the latter. No need to push it in this game, if he is indeed injured.

O line just bull rushed the entire psu front. Like seeing that

I'm so glad this is the last year of Pac-12 referees!!!

Boettcher, local guy, walk on, played fantastic in the spring game and STARTED at LB, although he came out after a few snaps.

Just made the recovery as a  gunner. He's a total baller playing way above his projected abilities and I think Lanning recognizes that and is rewarding him with playing time.

 

With a little luck he'll earn a consistent role and a scholarship. Gotta root for him!

O line is playing great. Wow!

Bucky’s vision is unreal. 

James ain't no slouch. 

Oregon hangs 50 on PSU in the first half. That will be many headlines. 

Hope the Defense makes huge leaps between this game and the next. We'll certainly need it. 

 

Second half should be fun to see the depth. 

Could Oregon score over 80 by the end of the game?

Zero penalties in the first half of the first game for both teams! Wow, that's impressive.

What can Ty Thompson do in the second half?

I like the fact that we are not running Bo Nix!

Tuioti and Lupoi both need to be replaced if we want our D to be the best it can be.

Great people and good recruiters, but...the coaching and play calling is not good enough.

 

I think Hampton takes over before the end of the year, just like Saban did to Lupoi at Bama.

Poor Duck, the mascot trainer (I guess) asked (at least reading her lips), "Are you okay?" And it's just the first half. 

 

After the touch down drive by PSU early I was a little concerned with the defense, not that the Ducks would win, but that kind of defense is going to give up  a lot of points against most PAC teams. But they settled down. I know the competition is not great, but laying 50 on someone in a half is impressive anyway.

 

Now get a lot of play for those down on the depth chart, get them some experience.
