Let's Discuss! CFB College Football GameDay (All Other Games on 10-19)

Featured Replies

The dude's in the media booth watching in on the Alabama Tennessee game were dumbstruck with how ugly both teams were playing, like a solemn hushed tone.

Is the Alabama-Tennessee game a classic defensive struggle, or two below average offenses?

Indiana has low key 2022 TCU vibes.

I'd agree with you though I keep coming back to how we have only had one game with scoring more than 40 this year.

It feels like we're lacking some offensive firepower.

Regarding under the radar Indiana.  First year head coach Curt Cignetti had 13 players follow him from James Madison to Indiana.

8 of those 13 are starting among the 22 first-team guys, 2 others are on the two deep, and 1 of the other 3 guys is the designated kick returner.

That's a pretty good culture infusion and shortens the instruction time for a new staff.  His last year at JMU was 11-2 with those guys.

Tennessee takes a 14-10 lead over Alabama.

Please take posts involving the Ducks to another thread. This one is for games between other teams.

Touchdown, Alabama, 17-14.

Very enlightening to watch the Illinois-Michigan today. I'm glad Oregon plays Illinois here and Michigan there. I'm more impressed with former's offense and less with the latter's defense than I was two weeks ago.

That said:

The Wolverine offense is truly one dimensional. In spite of years in college, their QB is bad throwing out of the pocket and the Michigan O-line has let the Illini D-line pressure him way too much. The Ducks should be able to get a couple of scores up, harass Tuttle and not allow them to control the clock with a plodding ground and pound, 100,000+ Big House fans notwithstanding.

The Ducks will have the advantage over Illinois in talent and should be able to control the LOS and challenge their secondary over the top. I would anticipate a hangover from what looks like a win today as the Illini haven't beaten UM since 2009. Plus the 2000+ mile trip to Eugene.

Go Ducks!

Tennessee survives review, takes 21-17 lead. Finebaum's head is about to burst.

DeBoer’s job status is looking less stable.

I'll say. This is why you don't want to be the coach after the legend, but he couldn't get away from UW fast enough.

Tennessee makes it 24-17. 1:30 left in Alabama's season.

And with that INT, Tennessee can kneel it out for the 24-17 victory over 'Bama!

Tennessee INTERCEPTION!!!! Alabama loses, Finebaum has blood coming out of his ears!!!!

And with that Milroe pick, Alllaaaaabaaaammmaaa goes down to Tennessee.

They are sharpening up the pitchforks in Tuscaloosa.

No playoff for Bama.  They don't deserve to be there.

Fan forums already wanting to run KD out of town!!

Ugly offensive game.  They woke up a little in the 4th, but I don't know that I've seen a game with that many penalties.  Ugly.

And U$C just barfed up another late TD to Maryland after a failed FG that would have put the game out of reach. 29-28 advantage the Terrapins. 00:53 to get into field goal range.

The only thing wrong with Alabama going down the drain is that UW is thrilled about it.

Wow, USC gives up another win!  That fan base is gonna need medication!

Riley's post game presser should be epic. And that flight home to LA tonight, Oy!

Same. I think it’s primarily from the running backs. Rushing is visibly weaker than last season. Part of that could be the OL isn’t is as effective on rush blocking as last season but a good part is that Bucky Irving was a special player. Jordan and Noah are above average college backs and perform well for the most part but Bucky was a nightmare for defenses to bring down.

It’s shocking that a blue blood program, such as Michigan, doesn’t have multiple QBs on the roster that can throw a downfield pass, especially in the transfer portal era. Major fail in evaluation, recruiting and player development.

USC was eliminated from the Playoffs a while ago, but now USC, Michigan and Alabama are eliminated from the expanded Playoffs.

So Kalen DeBoer is all out of luck in close games this year.

Now either U$C is stuck with Riley or they eat. and choke on his contract and overpay whatever coach would possibly want to step into the tar pit that is USC football.

The Sears catalog of football strikes again.  USC tears are the best.

Beck throws his second INT, this time in the red zone, still 0-0 in the 1st quarter.

Quinn Ewers just got absolutely blasted from the blind side and fumbled.

If he isn't effective, I wonder if Sark will go back to Manning?  Be an interesting development!

Georgia takes advantage of the fumble, 7-0.

It Just Means More to give your head coach an extension after losing your bowl game to Arizona, running off the All-B12 QB Gabe in favor of a youngster who threw 3 INTS in said bowl game, and without a returner on the O line going into the B1G Boy SEC.

What are these ADs smoking? What is wrong with paying someone a hefty salary and worrying about the guy getting poached when the contract should give the AD a 'Right of 1st Refusal'; an opportunity to counter a 3rd party offer?

It's PRIME TIME. It took Neon 2 years to kind of do what C1G has done in one year.

DeBoer, What Is He Good For? Not every 1 score game in Dixie will fill your cup.
