FishDuck Article Administrator No. 1 Share Posted October 22 On June 30, 2022, the USC Trojans, along with the UCLA Bruins, announced they were leaving for the B1G Conference beginning in Summer 2024. The Trojans had long grumbled to the powers in the Pac-12 that they deserved a larger slice of the pie instead of the conference’s equal distribution policy. As the lone historical blue-blood in the Pac-12, the ... 30Duck No. 2 Share Posted October 22 (edited) Darren, at this point, to discuss USC is to disparage USC, Joel Full of KLATT says their ""4 plays from being undefeated", but JFOK also was sure that Oregon would struggle at Purdue, so credibility there. Of course this isn't new. LA columnists have been sounding the alerts about USC football for years. Former Trojans are sick of seeing their legacy tarnished. Yeah, they just got another Heisman to put in Heritage Hall, that's what Riley does. But they aren't winning, and TV? The Trojans are on at 8:00, on Friday this week against Rutgers, while the Lakers and Dodgers are playing. DAT picked Oregon over USC, and Oregon has been taking the best from Bosco and Mater Dei ever since. USC football commits are turning into gymnasts with their flipping skills. It never rains in Autzen Stadium, and the Coliseum is leaking. Edited October 22 by 30Duck 1 1 1 3

I've lost a lot of respect for Klatt this season: 1) He is still fixated on Oregon's struggles earlier in the season against Idaho and Boise State and fails to recognize that teams can improve/get better throughout the season (note: in the transfer portal era, this may become the norm) 2) He does not watch the games or dig deeper (e.g., Oregon's offensive line struggles were due to injury and having to find the right group, BSU's Jeantry had a couple of big runs but was contained most of the game) but just relies on the box score
criticalduck No. 4 Share Posted October 22 (edited) JFOK, is also fixed that the "standard bearer" of the B1G were cheated out of a win at Autzen because the refs called an OPI that was clearly not there. He is as big of a HOMER as Herbstreit! They both echoed the same thing! I can't believe Oregon paid that idiot to be on "That Team Out West"...We could have done better with Colin "USC" Cowherd... All he needs to do is look at both Georgia and Oregon to see this. 1

Jon Joseph Moderator No. 12 Share Posted October 22 Thank you, Darren, for another very enjoyable read. I hate to kick someone or something that is down but I am happy to make an exception here. Before Loser Larry added CU and Utah to save face from not bringing in Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A+M, USC did receive a larger share of the proceeds. Based on market share, the prime statistic in 2010 when the Pac-10 went to the Pac-12, SC was certainly entitled to a bigger slice of the Pac pie. USC never got over this 'slight.' I find it interesting that SC 'joined' the B1G approximately two years before the Pac-12 media deal expired and like Oregon the Trojans paid a 'B1G Exit Fee' to the Pac-12 (2) when no exit fee was payable. There are suckers and schmucks but Larry and the enabling Leaders of the Pac were first in line. Then, 10 bozos paid millions in getaway fees they were not contractually obligated to pay. And Larry's dopey successor wasn't smart enough, at $3M+ a year, to appease SC. Thank goodness OBD caught the last plane out and did not take a bite of a rotten Apple. Thanks again.

30Duck No. 14 Share Posted October 22 Spoiled Children is exactly what they are. They should have been better than they were, we see the work and effort that Lanning and the Ducks are doing, think Carroll's Trojans matched it? Now Riley? JFOK with the "4 plays away from being undefeated" is the enabling attitude that won't allow USC to get better.

Funny how SC didn't have the onions to really leverage the bigger cut from the Pac-12, but as I noted, they didn't really want it, they wanted to rub elbows with historical blue-bloods.
