DrJacksPlaidPants Moderator No. 1 Share Posted November 1 We all know that Autzen Stadium is the best environment, so please leave it out unless it’s the only stadium you’ve been to. Best: Williams-Brice Stadium, Columbia, SC. This place is crazy from the get go. Great tailgating and pre-game festivities. It’s always packed no matter the Cocks record and Sandstorm is the best intro song in college football. Bonus: free white towels for each fan. Great for wiping spilt beer off of you and those around you. Worst: Kenan Memorial Stadium, Chapel Hill, NC. If you’re not convinced that UNC is a basketball school then go watch one of their home football games. The only tailgating I saw was a couple of guys drinking beer and playing corn hole in a parking garage. This is because the stadium is in the middle of campus so there are not many parking lots. The place didn’t come close to filling up and it was almost empty by halftime. And this was during a close game against Lamar Jackson who had won the Heisman a year earlier. Dull is too exciting a word to describe this stadium.
30Duck Moderator No. 2 Share Posted November 1 I haven't been to many others. I went to Husky Stadium in 1980 and watched Reggie O & the Ducks win, 34-10. I was wearing Duck gear and while the Husky fans weren't pleased, there was no biting. Been to Corvallis, 3 or 4 times, Ducks won, wasn't very loud. Drake Moderator No. 3 Share Posted November 1 Worst…Potato salad stadium before they spent $150 million on lipstick to put on that pig. Best…Tailgating at Stanford in the grove of trees, with the trees. Many tailgate setups have white table cloths, and great Cali wine on the table. We were serving salmon, and burgers to a fairly large group. Some Stanford alums tailgating nearby came over with a few bottles of wine to talk football, and for some of our food. Their stadium experience is more subdued, but had fun tailgating with those fans.
DUCati855 Moderator No. 4 Share Posted November 1 I've only visited west coast stadiums. Best (other than Autzen): Husky Stadium. Hate the team and fan base, But, props to a great stadium/setting. Worst: The Rose Bowl. Its iconic. But, it really sucks in pretty much every way.
cartm25 No. 5 Share Posted November 1 Only been to Autzen and LaVell Edwards (BYU) . . . both great places to experience football.

Santa Rosa Duck No. 7 Share Posted November 1 Best - We know what the best is! Worst - For me Stanford. The Stanford fans literally do not show up. Oregon fans either outnumber or at least equal the Stanford fans in numbers and our DUCKS are way louder, even in Palo Alto

I've only been there once, for the Rose Bowl against Penn State. Right in the middle of the end zone, I looked down, just for a second, looked back up just in time to see Carter find the hole and take it for 6.
JabbaNoBargain No. 9 Share Posted November 2 (edited) I’ve been to every original PAC10 stadium. A few to mention: WSU - horrible on every front. Imagine pre-redone Parker, only worse. Total dump. OSU - was horrible, but in fairness I haven’t been since the re-do. UCLA - as mentioned, iconic but terrible. I’m guessing it’s possible to have a good experience on the 50 USC - Coliseum was fun for me. Consistent theme throughout, it’s cool UW - spectacular and one of a kind, but a LOT of horrible site-lines. Northwest Wild Card - Kibbie Dome in Moscow ID. If you ever get a chance to go when they’re good and it’s full, go for it. That stadium is just a barrel, but man can it get loud when full. Jon Joseph Moderator No. 10 Share Posted November 2 Doctor, J, are you a South Carolinian? Good call on USC - East. Not every game but the best experience IMO is a White Out at Penn State.

The only decent stadium I’ve been to in NC is in Boone at App State.
NC Duck No. 12 Share Posted November 2 Neyland Stadium, Knoxville TN. Watched the Ducks destroy Tennessee with Lamichael’s amazing 80 yard run. Band played the Rocky Top song non stop .. until they didn’t. Game out of hand, band went home. It was glorious. Nice fans except one obnoxious woman. Big lightening storm forced 104,000 people into the concourses that maybe held 50k. We stood in the rain rather than “sardined” under cover.
DUCKED No. 13 Share Posted November 3 Strawberry Canyon……Berkeley. What a great setting. A couple of problems, though. Memorial Stadium sucks…….and the team usually does too.
Desert Duck No. 14 Share Posted November 3 Love Strawberry Canyon. Such a beautiful setting. But unfortunately, as you said, the stadium sucks. Plus, there's that little detail of the Hayward Fault Line literally running directly beneath the stadium.
