MicroBurst61 No. 3 Share Posted November 20 May be just enough of a loss to allow an Indiana team to better compete with tOSU late in the fourth quarter. Should be "a game"! Nice to be able to sit back this week and let the chaos reign around us. Go Ducks!

Just Ducky No. 5 Share Posted November 20 Rooting for Indy to win. Might as well get a shot at them in the Champ. Game even though it’s a tough trip for the Ducks no matter who they play. We wanted this now we got it. Go s
Haywarduck Moderator No. 6 Share Posted November 20 Center is one of the most important position on the team. It is definitely the least appreciated position as compared to the importance. Sad for the individual, but can't say I have any of that emotion for their program. On top of that it would certainly do my heart well to see multiple massive mistakes by the nuts this weekend at the center position.
EastBayDuckDad Moderator No. 7 Share Posted November 20 Losing your O-line anchor and "qb" is a tough turn, particularly when that center is All-American caliber. Even if tOSU has a capable backup, there is no way that their offense doesn't suffer. Witness Oregon's early season woes with Pickard when Pancho was shifted to OG. And from a historical perspective, need I even say it? ...Alamo Bowl. We saw what happened when Bucknuts lost a starting tackle against OBD. More false starts and problems in the run game. Just enough to make a difference. What happens against Indiana this weekend will be telling and the Ducks will be the beneficiary regardless of who they face in the B1G CG. I still see tOSU winning and facing OBD in the title game. With Harmon or Caldwell breathing down his neck, their center will have his work cut out for him. OregonDucks No. 8 Share Posted November 20 Never want to see these kids go down with a season ending injury. Feel terrible for him and hopes he makes a full recovery. 1
David Marsh No. 9 Share Posted November 20 I think the game on Saturday just got a whole lot closer though the reality is I still think Ohio State can pull off the win because their defense is very good and we saw what happened when Indiana had to play against a physical defense in Michigan, they escaped at home with a win. I'd say Ohio State has just as good of a defense as Michigan, just with an eyeball test, if not slightly better. But even with a diminished offensive line I still anticipate Ohio State to have a significantly better offense than Michigan. Ohio State is going to need to rely on quick passes and getting the ball to those incredible wideouts fast. The run game is going to struggle to get going for sure. Though Ohio State does have an athlete advantage everywhere else which will probably be just enough to eek out a win. But... we'll see. That's why we gotta play the games. It does make you thankful that the Ducks made it through our 8 game stretch with no season ending injuries! That is incredible!
DrJacksPlaidPants Moderator No. 10 Share Posted November 20 McLaughlin was the guy who was rolling snaps back to Milroe in the Rose bowl last year. He took a lot of blame for losing to Michigan. He seemed to have gotten much better this year with the change in scenery. Hopefully, he heals up for whatever the future holds for him.
Jon Joseph Moderator No. 11 Share Posted November 20 CBS Sports (kind of) confirms McLaughlin is out. The worst thing about football is injuries. What effect will this have on the tOSU -12 line? Solar No. 12 Share Posted November 20 One thing Josh Pate brought up when discussing how hard Oregon's 8 game stretch was, that tOSU will be playing their 7th game straight in the CCG, after having two tough games against Indiana and Michigan While Oregon will be in their second game after a bye week.
