Posted December 7, 2024Dec 7 Moderator Let's get it going on Saturday! (NOT the Oregon game, as we'll have another thread for that) ------------------------------------------------------------- Heisman Trophy and playoff hopes are hanging in the balance for Boise State. Army has been a nice story this season, so it would be nice to see them win a conference championship.
December 7, 2024Dec 7 Author Moderator UNLV’s QB is skittish. Had he stood in the pocket he would’ve seen his WR coming open on the cross. Instead, he got sacked for a huge loss.
December 7, 2024Dec 7 Moderator MWC playing the CCG on a home field. Interesting. Boise State beat UNLV, 29-24 @ UNLV, earlier this season.

December 7, 2024Dec 7 Moderator Fantastic body control by the BSU QB to get the TD, Ref didn't think he kept his knee off the turf, but irrefutable evidence says he did. 14-0 Boise State.
December 7, 2024Dec 7 Moderator 75 yard TD run for Jeanty, with :21 left in the 1st half, puts Boise State up, 21-0. No Heisman pose for Jeanty.
December 7, 2024Dec 7 Looks like the thumbs down has caught on... that's all the Boise corner is doing...
December 7, 2024Dec 7 Bo Jackson, DeAnthony Thomas, Ashton Jeanty.. He's doing things human beings shouldn't be able to do, making high caliber athletes look silly. It's really special to watch.
December 7, 2024Dec 7 Moderator How about Jax State blowing out W Kentucky? Rich Rod, Redeemed? - Take me home country roads to the place I belong, West Virginia Mountain Momma take me home country roads. 61 years old. Perhaps not too old to go home again? I hope Rich Rod gets the West Virginia gig. What a long strange trip that will have been. Go AAC Champ Army! But beat Navy? Sorry, I was raised by a US Navy officer. And G5 Boise with a Bye before a Fiesta. WOW! POLARIZE PENN STATE!
December 7, 2024Dec 7 Moderator Saban says it's Oregon's physicality that has the No.1; it's a clean sweep for OBD.

December 7, 2024Dec 7 Moderator WHew! ASU's trick play pass by Scattaboo could have been a pick-6 or intentional grounding, but it's just incomplete, ASU runs it in for a td on the next play. 10-7
December 7, 2024Dec 7 Moderator I think Iowa State just got robbed, look like PI for about 5 yards, but no flag, then they missed a FG.

December 7, 2024Dec 7 Moderator PI needs to have a solid definition that the refs stick to. On that play the ref had a perfect view of the receiver been held and grabbed for several yards and then just said “nope”. How many times have we seen a desperate fourth down pass been rewarded with a weak PI called?
December 7, 2024Dec 7 Author Moderator Dilly’s boys may not have the talent that the top teams have, but they go hard every play.
December 7, 2024Dec 7 Skattebo and his shaking head answer: Why Does Cam Skattebo Shake His Head? BROBIBLE.COM Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo will be the first person to take himself out of a college football game if he has any concerns about a possible
December 7, 2024Dec 7 ASU almost tasting the Big12 Championship. What many of us have wondered over the years is why ASU with the climate of Tempe, the high school players in Arizona, the size of the school, the eye candy on the streets for football recruits, the Mill St Friday night, was not a major player in the Pac that it was in the WAC? It was just unfathomable. Dilly's team now leads 38-10 in the third quarter. Is the answer as simple as "Dilly?"
December 7, 2024Dec 7 Moderator 38-10. If they insist on putting a three loss SEC team in, they better put them in the twelve seed. I think ASU deserves to above even Indiana at 10 or so.
December 7, 2024Dec 7 With ASU blowing out ISU, I'm really curious to hear y'alls perspective. Who do you think was a better OC, Dilly or Stein? And when Stein becomes a HC (hopefully eventually, rather than sooner), who do you think will have a better HC career?

Both are about the same as OC’s. Dilly seems to be better HC material only because he’s a HC and I can watch his interviews.
December 7, 2024Dec 7 Moderator Oh, ASU defender ejected for targeting, will miss 1st half of ASU's first Playoff game.

December 7, 2024Dec 7 Author Moderator What has football become? The defensive player used perfect technique. Was it targeting by definition? I guess so, but the tackler came in with his head up.

December 7, 2024Dec 7 Moderator Targeting should be a penalty for an extra aggressive malicious play. Hence the term targeting. A lesser penalty needs to be used for a solid play with helmet to helmet contact. Eliminating a player for an entire half of a playoff game can drastically change an outcome needlessly.
December 7, 2024Dec 7 Moderator That was a brutal hit that knocked the Iowa St QB briefly out of the game. ASU #7 out for targeting and he will miss the 1st half of whatever CFP game ASU goes to. They have demolished ISU and Skattebo is a human wrecking ball that belongs in NY in a couple weeks. If they get the 12 seed it will be against the 5 and we know what that means.
