Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted Monday at 05:51 PM The bye week was bad enough, but going another two weeks for a Duck football game? Damn! The season has flown past, and when you're winning...you just can't get enough. The offseason will be BRUTAL! 1 2 1 1 Mr. FishDuck

OregonDucks No. 3 Share Posted Monday at 06:07 PM The first round of the playoffs should start the weekend after the conference championship games (which are only in existence due to the additional TV revenue and should be eliminated, as there is often no point and it gives teams that don’t participate- Ohio State/Tennessee extra rest over those teams that did and lost). This would also give the teams that earned a bye a bigger advantage and allow us to wrap up the college football season with the Championship Game on January 1st, as Coach Lanning has suggested.
PittDuck No. 4 Share Posted Monday at 06:15 PM I agree Charles, it is too long to wait between games. One week for a bye, sure, that is fair, and needed. 25 days between games??? That seems like it is begging for rust to set in. It is just plain too much time. Our Rose Bowl opponent got a bye week, then plays a game this weekend. The winner will get another partial bye week (11 days ) before they play us. I totally trust DL and his magnificent staff to have OBD ready, but it just doesn’t feel right to me
kirklandduck Moderator No. 5 Share Posted Monday at 06:33 PM It sucks waiting so long to watch a game. But I know it's to Oregon's advantage to have such a long layoff, plenty of time to prep and get healthy. I'm hoping Marcus Harper will be ready to go by January 1st, I'd feel better about the OL once he's back.

Santa Rosa Duck No. 8 Share Posted Monday at 07:48 PM (edited) Withdrawal for sure but I will start watching Friday evening at 5:00pm with the Indiana vs Notre Dame game. The Golden Domers are favored by 7.5 points at Notre Dame Stadium. Edited Monday at 07:50 PM by Santa Rosa Duck
spartan2785 No. 9 Share Posted Monday at 07:52 PM I'll be honest, I actually have appreciated this break so far, I like being able to begin to take in other sports, I always feel bad for these other teams that get so little attention since the fanbase seems to be only about football a lot of the time, just look at basketball and volleyball attendance compared to some of the universities back east. I'm also a sports nut who follows multiple teams in different sports...so I have Liverpool FC to watch right now on weekends, I've got movies to get caught up on, I really enjoy watching the basketball team this year. The wait time is a pretty normal amount, it's no different than most bowl games, so it doesn't seem strange in any way.

Grandpa Duck No. 11 Share Posted Monday at 08:28 PM YES, I’m suffering withdrawals so badly I watched three FCS games over the weekend. Compared to the Ducks it was like watching high school players, at least for me. Rooting for the Vols, Longhorns and Bulldogs so there will be no question about Duck dominance.

OBD had to wait this long for every Parade in Pasadena the Ducks attended. Let the Crocketts and the Days beat up one another in an icebox before they have to play in the Pacific time zone, without all of the pre-game Rose Bowl hoopla. No offense, Lowry's. THIS is OBD's one geographic break in the SEC-centric PO game sites. 1

Grandpa, are you ready to rock with Rocky Top for 4+ hours? Almost as bad as the never-ending Fight On! I want the SEC to go 1st game 0-2 and UGA to lose to Indiana in the Sugar Bowl. I'm all in with the B1G and looking for BIGger $ come 2031. We are in a two conference fist fight and behind by more than a few rounds. 1

We are in a two conference fist fight and behind by more than a few rounds. I'm a bit different, I want Clemson to win, but I don't think I want to face tOSU, part of it is simply not wanting to engage with their fans once again, we've met enough in the post season, yes it would be nice to get revenge, but I want something new. Georgia I hope loses (sorry to our dawg fans here, still love you guys!), it would be nice to see the SEC get told that they aren't the best conference, that they were overrated, and it's a new day. I also don't want to see college football become a two league sport, I don't think it's good for the sport if the ACC and B12 become irrelevant, only way for this to happen is for them to prove it on the field with some upsets. In general I want great games, I want SMU, Clemson, Boise St, and Indiana to show that they deserved to be in the playoff, it will only help college football if these teams show that you have to respect teams such as them. If they get blown out then it will prove that teams like Bama should get in even if they are undeserving because of the brand and the conference they play in. I'm sure this might help Oregon at some point, but that doesn't mean it will be healthy for the sport. 1 1

30Duck Moderator No. 17 Share Posted Monday at 09:24 PM I've seen people, actually know some, as all of you do, who don't follow sports at all, OBD included. I know, it makes no sense to me. For one thing following the Ducks tells me what to wear a couple of days a week. I do follow the NFL but yesterday wasn't good. The Lovable Lions from Detroit were off to their best start, but lost to the Bills, and 3 starters to injuries, for the season. The Lions have lost 13 players, including DT Asa Hutchinson, who might be back in time for the Super Bowl, alas, the Lions probably won't be involved. The Chargers won't be, they got blitzed 40-17 by Tampa Bay. Bo Nix and the Broncos beat Indy 31-13. Of course, the Basketball Ducks will have us watching them deep into "March Madness" 1
