30Duck Moderator No. 1 Share Posted Friday at 11:12 PM If somehow you could see into the future and find out how the Rose Bowl ended, would you? Just to be clear, you can't use this to make a killing at the betting window. But, as much as we're all dying, I wouldn't want to know.

Grandpa Duck No. 3 Share Posted Saturday at 12:31 AM No! The anticipation is half of the fun. Time on this earth has taught me patience. It will happen if I manage to keep breathing. If I don’t, it will happen anyway. 2

Solar No. 7 Share Posted Saturday at 01:58 AM The only way to get rid of the anxiety is to be grateful for the season we've had, even if we lose. 13 and 1, B1G champs is a great year! My definition of gratefulness is "the art of lowering your standards and expectations." 2 1
bbmichaels No. 8 Share Posted Saturday at 02:08 AM (edited) Love this thread! I'm very pragmatic, so I tend to agree with Solar. Also, I have kids and other things tugging at my time, so knowing in advance that the game is worth watching or not...almost priceless All of that said, would you rather lose to the buckeyes and have them win it all over the SEC, proving that the B1G is legit, or beat the buckeyes and then lose to TX or GA, and listen to the SEC crowing? Enquiring mind wants to know... Edited Saturday at 02:10 AM by bbmichaels

I will never want osu2 to win anything, so, if somehow, they win the Rose Bowl, my utter disdain for them will just expand. SEC crowing is just background noise now. 1 1

PittDuck No. 11 Share Posted Saturday at 02:43 AM Simple. Win out. Beat osu2 for a second time, then beat THEM. Them being any opponent who steps on the field, B1G, SEC, or Independent.

Mike West No. 13 Share Posted Saturday at 04:29 AM (edited) Oh but I want OBD to win so bad. To shut them all up. Outside of Duck Nation, it feels like nobody wants Oregon to win the Natty. FEBU Edited Saturday at 04:30 AM by Mike West 1 1
Nevada Dawg No. 14 Share Posted Saturday at 06:25 AM I am actually much greedier than most at this point. While I could salute 13-1 (or whatever), if my Dawgs do not win this thing, I want so bad for the Ducks to have that 0 in the loss column when all is said and done. Lanning may have the Ducks relevant most years from here on out, but the prize is there for the taking NOW!! It may not be next year or in any given year thereafter, As for the question that opened this thread: Hell no I don't want to know the outcomes in advance. When I DVR a game that I, for some reason, cannot watch live, I insulate myself from spoilers even if that involves not watching TV or listening to the radio until I can watch the game. Should I accidentally learn the result, I often erase the recording unless there are really compelling reports about how tense the ending was. But that is far less satisfying than watching live IMHO. 1 4
