January 10Jan 10 I think ND is probably a bit better, but we play the games for a reason. I hope PSU wins and we have 2 teams that we beat playing for the NC.
January 10Jan 10 Moderator By this point in the B1G CG Oregon had 21 points on Penn St. Notre Dame wouldn't have done any better against the OBD offense, imo. No doubt about it, Ducks got royally screwed by the CFP.

January 10Jan 10 Penn State dominating everywhere but the scoreboard. Allard has been horribly inaccurate, otherwise they would have 21 plus points. They also could have shut out ND if their all-American DE would have recovered that fumble. His shoulder must really be bothering him.
January 10Jan 10 Moderator I picked Penn State, and I know the $$$ are better if they win. But the idea of Penn State completely embarrassing themselves by losing isn't all bad to me.
January 10Jan 10 Penn State coming out overconfident in second half after pushing ND around in the first half. PSU had their opportunities in the first half and they squandered almost all of them, and I won't be surprised if ND blows them out in the second half. We'll see. I was hoping for an all-B1G championship game...
January 10Jan 10 Moderator INT for Penn State, Allar runs for 11, then throws an INT, but PI called on Notre Dame. Good call, ND had two on Warren, neither looked for the ball.

January 10Jan 10 Moderator Notre Dame ties it up, 24-24. I'd like it if Penn State can keep the ball for 4:28 and make a field goal.
January 10Jan 10 Moderator Way to take advantage of your "Opportunity" Penn State. If Penn State fans aren't screaming to get rid of Franklin like Ohio State's were to get rid of Day, they're beyond apathetic.
January 10Jan 10 Wow, what a gift to ND when they were down and almost out. Franklin gonna have a hard time swallowing this one. Edited January 10Jan 10 by Chas Man
January 10Jan 10 Got what they deserved.. Lost to Ohio State and Oregon at home, should not have been in this game in my less than humble opinion!
January 10Jan 10 OSU gotta be licking their chops. Beat Texas (who should have lost to ASU) and ND and you have yourself another Natty. Someday OBD will climb that pinnacle.

Yeah, they were gifted a path to the championship game (that belonged to the #1 seed) and they couldn't take advantage of the opportunity.

January 10Jan 10 Moderator CHOKE with a Capital C. Come on MAN! You're coming back next season so I hope you will have a redemptive opportunity. But I'm not sure that I wouldn't make you hitch hike home.
January 10Jan 10 Moderator The announcers said that the final pick was out of character for them and yet it is exactly how the BIG Championship game ended.
January 10Jan 10 Since his first season at Penn State in 2014, Franklin is now 1-15 against teams ranked in Top 5 in AP. I'm sure like most coaches he has self-analyzed those losses endlessly, and most were against talented Ohio State and Michigan teams, but at some point he has to wonder exactly what he is missing. When that kid threw the pick, his heart had to drop into his stomach. But, why 24-24 at that point in time? Ducks open the Big Ten season portion next year at Penn State.
January 10Jan 10 Oregon is 2-3 vs Penn St. 1960: 12-41 in Liberty Bowl in Philadelphia 1963: 7-17 in Portland 1964: 22-14 at State College 1995: 20-38 in Pasadena 2024: 45-38 in Indianapolis
January 10Jan 10 Moderator In 2025 OBD's 1st B1G game is at Northwestern on 9/13, between the OK State and Beavis home games.
January 10Jan 10 Moderator Death, Taxes, and Little Game, James. Rinse and Repeat. In his career at PSU, James has won 1 game against a top-5 team. Ohio State in 2016. Franklin wins a lot of games but never the BIG game. Last night, PSU lost leads of 10-0, 17-10, and 24-17. And with its field position, why wasn't PSU playing for OT? A bad mistake by Allar. But he shouldn't have been throwing the ball.
January 10Jan 10 Moderator It's been a while since Happy Valley was all that Happy. When is the last time Penn State won a national championship in football? FANSIDED.COM The Penn State Nittany Lions are often considered one of the blue bloods of college football. It's hard to not think about Happy Valley, about Beaver Stadium, a
January 10Jan 10 Moderator PSU - SSDD 😧 What's next for Penn State after Orange Bowl loss? It starts with James Franklin, who's 1-18 vs. top-5 teams - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM Franklin clearly has some block against elite foes, and his roster has all sorts of questions to iron out in 2025

With Penn State’s talent and resources, you’d think he’d be able to pull off at least a few Ws, especially at home. When I saw his goal line playcalling against Ohio State, I understood why he lost all those games. Coach Franklin and by extension his team get tight in big games. It’s hard for me to feel bad for Penn State given the easy path they had to the championship despite losing the B1G championship and a game to Ohio State at home. January 10Jan 10 Moderator Et tu, Saturday Tradition? Little Game James strikes again in Penn State’s crushing Playoff loss SATURDAYTRADITION.COM James Franklin just can't shake the moniker. He's now 4-20 in games against Top 10 teams, and this loss was the worst of all.

Franklin withdraws into his shell, and Allar loses his discipline.
January 10Jan 10 Moderator Penn State, due to the severely flawed Playoff format found itself in a position it didn't deserve. I thought they'd win, but I really just wanted a B1G Final. Ohio State would have steamrolled Penn State. Are Penn State fans as upset by Franklin as Ohio State's "lunatic fringe" is with Day. It doesn't seem like it, and that's fine, him staying and Riley still at USC works out fine for OBD.

Who else would you need to throw in or would it be straight up?
