There used to be a thread of players and their cars (from years ago) under Saban, and it went 30-40 players deep before I got tired/angry of seeing them.

This was long before NIL, and now he acts sanctimonious before the media?

Mr. FishDuck

Remember he didn't like our fast paced, no huddle offense either.

No one like change or adaptations that take away your advantage.

Now that everyone can pay players above board, the SEC has no advantage.

The degree programs are pretty much all better in B1G schools as they are all AAU members.

Dream on st Nick.

Good call Charles. Which one is Saban again ....... Beavis or Butthead? Are Saban and Sankey brothers? They whine alot and sure pedal loads of BS!

"Dream on St. Nick"

Nick Saban co-owns nine dealerships as part of Dream Motor Group. These include seven Mercedes-Benz dealerships, one Ferrari dealership, and one Infiniti dealership, located in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Texas.  Headquarters Hoover, Alabama.

He claims that he is pretty hands off on the business, and lets his partner run it. As a control freak that he is, I can't imagine. But, it may have helped in his primary recruiting territory: Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Texas...:)

It's the Little Saint Nick, you don't know what you had,

You had a comptition edge but now DeBoer's on the floor,

And the Tide rolled out when a Seminole roared,

And if that ain't enough to make flip your lid,

Here's One More Thing: DeBoer ain't winning a Natty. 😁

People should make note of their Experation Date.

When in comes to SEC homers and apologists, they never address the "elephant" (ya, Mr. Saban, that's you) shadow in the room. Historically, those schools paid better than anywhere else in the country, so of course the home grown players stayed there as well as having a long reach w/ other recruits. But a funny thing happened on the way to the "lithia dodge/jeep of Tuscaloosa". In today's day and age where we seeing equal footing in the NIL arena, maybe it's a case of a lot of good ole southern cooking isn't what 17 year old's want and maybe never really did as more and more electing to go elsewhere.

Visiting the U of O and experiencing game day at Autzen is really all that and a bag of chips....add everything else Oregon has to offer, not to mention Michigan, ohio state and Penn St and I think we're seeing a lot of kids being able to justify getting he hell out of SEC country.

Loving the upward trajectory and reach of Duck recruiting. And saint Saban might just be sour graping the consequences of not always having a huge advantage over others. Welcome to the side of the fence where "The Grass is Damn Green" here, and routinely watered and fertilized.

Those are some excellent lyrics. And I love the nod to the Beach Boys.

It's quite exceptional that Saban actually believed that he could sell such total horse crap to the college football community.

The fear is strong in this one... and rightfully so.

I live in San Diego now and was watching the high school football players running around. For those that don't know August is the only time of year it gets truly hot and humid, yuk. And with pads and a helmet, I don't know how they can see with all the sweat running down into their eyes.

I can imagine the Southeast being way worse is NOT a fun place to play football.
