UVA lost a close game at NC State. A much-improved Cavaliers team.

Disclosure - I'm rooting for UVA to upset FSU and for the Seminoles to defeat Miami next Saturday.

This game is being played on the same field where UVA ended Bobby Bowden's years-long undefeated streak in the ACC.

I'm also rooting for the ACC champ to finish 10-3, the champ being the only ACC team in the field, and Bill Belichick's girlfriend to leave him for lack of scoring. 😁

ASU putting up a good fight against a top 25 ranked TCU!

Wow! Dilly’s kids tie it up with less than 2 minutes to go then strips the TCU QB of the ball on the next possession. Less than 90 seconds left and they’re inside the 5 yard line to try and win the game. Crazy!

4th and goal just a foot from the goal line. Will Dilly go for it??

False start pushed them back 5 yards. ASU kicks the FG instead, 27-24 with 1:14 left in the game!

ASU intercepts the ball! Game over!

Beavis had a 14 point lead with less than 7 minutes to go... Held Houston for 4/3 and outs to that point in the second half... lost in OT by a field goal.

Beavis kickers shanked 2 fg attempts, had 2 more blocked. 1/5 for the game.

I will hand it to the Beavs, their LBs looked pretty sharp and the QB made some good throws when he wasn't running for his life. They looked good enough to win outside of not-so-special teams. A win over Houston would have boosted Oregon's SOS too.

Fell asleep last night as the Beavs actually looked like a football team before the half. Woke up this morning and found out the Beavs are still the Beavs.

Illinois leads USC at half, 14-10, as they are running right at the Trojans.

Rutgers is turning into a poor-man's Indiana with their improved passing attack, as they lead Minnesota at half 21-14. Rutgers is not going to be an easy-out when we play AT their stadium later....

I kept wondering if the beavs were trying to mimic Mari's No-O offense with th continual ineffective gut runs at the end of the game...

Minnesota came out and dominated the LOS in the third quarter to take a 24-21 lead after three, and I'm impressed with the improvement of the Gopher freshman QB. Minnesota looks stouter in the trenches, and it is starting to show.

Illinois came out in the second half to drive to a FG, stop the Trojans on downs, and then throw a wheel route to their RB for a 66 yard TD to take 24-10 lead on USC midway through the third quarter!

Illinois answered a USC td with one of their own to start the fourth quarter... these boys are playing with fire!

Wow...Minnesota beat Rutgers, 31-28, as the Scarlet Knights missed a FG at the end to try to tie it up.

Both are good teams, not great ones. But a good team on a hot day....

Probably the only time I will be rooting for Ohio State this year.

I'm not sure how good Ohio State's offense is right now.

I know the Fuskies defense isn’t THAT good so I have to assume the Buckeye offense is having issues under Brian Hartline.

Northwestern in the fight of their lives against UCLA.near the end of the game. How many mistakes did they have to make for that to happen?

I was driving into Seattle about noon on highway 520 and saw the fireworks in Fusky stadium from the road. All that pomp and circumstance for 6 measly points is pretty funny.

Tuned in to the last couple minutes of the UCLA game. The kids are certainly trying which is nice to see but they just don’t have a good OL. Nico isn’t very good which makes it worse…last possession he didn’t try a long pass just tossed it to a receiver in the mid-field…dunno what he was thinking.

Ohio State limited Sayin to short throws, and a very vanilla, conservative offense. I think the Huskies are weaker on defense than the 24-6 loss indicated.

And Iowa and Indiana are tied 13-13 in the fourth quarter? Whew!

Looking at the game stats for USC/Illinois, the Trojans still have a crappy defense. OBD will destroy them this season.

And Indiana pulled it out and beat Iowa, 20-15, and goes to show what good defense can do. (And a home field advantage for Iowa)

I agree, pretty vanilla yesterday and it seems like they’re taking it slow with Sayin because they have that luxury with how well the defense is playing. Day really appears to be managing games so far this year. Maybe he spent some time with Jim Tressel in the offseason LOL
