14 hours ago14 hr No. Hopefully Dante Moore talks to Justin Herbert and Bo Nix about the importance of playing and learning as much as possible before putting his name in the NFL draft hat. There is no substitute for in-game experience for a QB.There are plenty of examples of very talented QBs, with only a year or two of starting experience at the collegiate level, who were thrust into starting in the NFL, with very high expectations, for really bad organizations (there is a reason the same teams are always picking at the top of the draft), who failed spectacularly in the NFL.Staying and learning does not guarantee success but I believe that it increases a QBs odds of success (and that second contract is where you really strike gold). 13 hours ago13 hr No. I think Moore has already learned his lesson and seen it pay off. He rushed to start in college and it didn't go well for him at UCLA. He sat and learned a year and developed and is now seeing the benefit of development. I'm still not banking that he'll be here next year but I do believe he is focused on the season right now and he will make his d vision to stay or go after a careful evaluation at the end of the season.
13 hours ago13 hr No. No need to take a pay cut prematurely if he’s not going in the first round, but if he’s first round material at the end of the year it changes the dynamic imo.Our reality is that most truly great players will be in college 3 years, if they’re good enough to play at 18, there’s almost no point in redshirting. If they need a year to get stronger out of HS, most will leave after 2 years of being on the field. Balancing that reality with a few diamonds in the rough that develop over 4-5 years and you’ve got something. Edited 13 hours ago13 hr by JabbaNoBargain
13 hours ago13 hr Administrator No. It does make you wonder how big his growth would be with another year, but the NFL would see that upside too and want him all-the-Moore. If he is a 1st Round projection, then he would be best to take it, and I would not begrudge him at all. Mr. FishDuck

I have to keep reminding myself that Dante is but 20 years old!https://trojanswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/trojans/football/2025/09/30/usc-football-again-middle-pack-big-ten/86432632007/?utm_source=smg-trojanswire-strada&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=SM

He was humbled by his freshman experience, and I love the fact that he had the maturity to sit for a year when he transferred back to the Ducks. We are lucky to have him.
1 hour ago1 hr No. NIL $$ makes the staying choice much easier. His willingness to submit to sitting last year proves he understands the long term value he gains by learning all he can.The QB position, along with maybe O-line, are the spots where live game experience is most needed for NFL success. My money says he stays. If he does, we mist likely lose Novosad.
1 hour ago1 hr No. “The Trojans proved in their loss Saturday against Illinois that they still aren't a contender just yet.”Not yet, huh? 6-6 in conference play since joining the BIG screams just on the edge of greatness. Michigan is up next, so that is probably dropping below 0.500 real fast.
