Monday at 04:45 AM2 days Administrator No. Not a surprise, as the last two recruiting classes had players that jumped ahead of him on the depth chart. Hard to know how things would’ve turned out if he had not been injured…I wish him the best. Mr. FishDuck
Monday at 05:15 AM2 days No. Oof... Yeah the injury hit him hard as he lost last season and the last recruiting class was just bonkers good. Interesting note... This does signal the LAST DB in that first Lanning recruiting class to depart the program. I believe now that all DBs recruited in Lanning's first class are now gone.

Monday at 03:36 PM2 days Moderator No. Sad to see Florence go as I remember Lanning calling him up to recruit him as he was leaving the field after the Dawgs won the championship. That being said, it is almost unreal how amazing the recruiting has been that a guy who had early playing time and a sophomore starter became the third guy at his position.I’m sure he’ll be highly sought after and OBD’s number one pass defense will keep on keeping on.
Yesterday at 05:25 AM1 day No. If I were the coach, since he was buried on the depth chart, I would have moved him to receiver. He might have done well at it. Nothing at all to lose. He is the right size and build and he has to be fast to play cornerback. Again, we don't know what his injury has done to him. He was not the first talented Duck to flame out after injury.

Never burn bridges!Autzen ZooDan Lanning has the perfect response to Jahlil Florence's...One of things Duck fans appreciate about Dan Lanning's coaching style is that he doesn't burn bridges with players, high school coaches or families.
Yesterday at 02:10 PM1 day No. I wish Jahlil Florence the best and believe that he is talented enough to start and thrive at another program. Hopefully, it’s not a conference school (unless it’s UCLA). Oregon is absolutely loaded at CB.

Justus Lowe started some games last year with Tez injured and he has barely seen the field this year. The receiver room has a ton of talent in it as well.

While neither has played since the blowout wins in early September, it's still a blow to the depth needed for practice reps, special teams and as insurance against injuries.Fields and Florence will land somewhere, tall, talented cornerbacks with above average speed and good coverage ability. Fields earned a four-star rating in the class of 2024, 6-2, 200 from Junipero Serra High, straight out of Compton, California. The loss of either is not damaging unless the Ducks suffer a corresponding run of injuries at defensive back, keeping in mind that a long season is potentially little more than half over-- it takes 16 games to win a national championship now, and Oregon is 7-1.Autzen ZooSuddenly the Transfer Portal poses a mild danger Oregon's...Kids want to play and further their NFL dreams. It's only natural that on a deep and talented roster a few players will drop off and hit the portal.
