12 hours ago12 hr No. I’m surprised there hasn’t been more conversation about ESPN College Football Gameday‘s choice to cover the SEC championship game over the B1G championship game featuring #1 vs #2 and the only 2 undefeated teams remaining. Every single day, ESPN’s bias shows more and more. What is the over/under for the number of minutes they spend talking about how Bama deserves to be in the playoff despite the result of the SEC championship game? What about Texas and Vandy?
10 hours ago10 hr No. Hmmmm...let's do the math.A "kabillion" dineros for exclusive broadcasting rights for the ability to sell enough advertising dineros', to pay for the said broadcasting rights.Well...duhhh. Going to cover our butt...ocks the SEC championship game regardless of records and PO implications.😁 Edited 10 hours ago10 hr by MicroBurst61
10 hours ago10 hr No. Makes sense... I mean its kinda surprising they came out to Eugene twice considering they don't get to broadcast any B1G games. They do get to broadcast the SEC championship game so they might as well hype it up.

ESPN College Football Gameday was all about celebrating and promoting the culture, passion and pageantry of college football. In the past, they would have selected the B1G Conference Championship game because it’s the only 2 undefeated teams remaining - #1 vs. #2. David vs. Galiath. Now we shrug our shoulders because they picked the game that will be broadcast on their network. That’s the problem with ESPN and now College Football Gameday - they have completely sold out and are a shell of what they used to be. ESPN let go most of the people who got them to become the “World Wide Leader in Sports” and paid those who are the loudest and say the most outrageous takes.I guess nothing lasts forever… Edited 9 hours ago9 hr by OregonDucks

1 hour ago1 hr No. Actually the B1G championship game will have nearly zero impact on whether the loser drops out of the top four. While if Georgia loses the SEC game, they just might drop below OBD. To me SEC championship is a game of significance, while our conference championship is almost meaningless. So if I were making the decision for ESPN, I'd send Game Day to the place where there's a real game.

1 hour ago1 hr No. I think it’s mostly about the broadcasting rights. ESPN and Co. are going to promote the SEC at every available opportunity, just as FOX will promote the B1G.
38 minutes ago38 min No. It should have been at the big10 just because Indiana is such a cinderella story, and it would be a true test to go up against Ohio St, who crushed them last year. SEC game is just another game. One team will win, but who really cares? It is just an exhibition game before the playoffs.
