4 hours ago4 hr No. According to this article and "sources", Oregon is pursuing Raiola and he will sit behind Dante if Dante returns.https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/dante-moore-dylan-raiola-oregon-qb-room-2026-transfer-portal/
4 hours ago4 hr No. This is not surprising. This could be the situation that pushes Dante Moore into the NFL Draft IMHO. Raiola would be real competition and Moore could not afford to lose out and be QB2 . The real question in my mind is which of these two can respond in a positive fashion when things are not going well? I fear that Dante Moore under pressure like the two Indiana games does not respond well. Edited 4 hours ago4 hr by Santa Rosa Duck

Without time to throw, Dante does not make many plays on his own. Raiola is also a dropback QB.With the OC and the DC promoted from within, will we see any changes to OBD's schemes on offense and defense?Except for Leavitt and Raiola, the top rated QBs are off the board. Oregon has been quiet on the transfer front. Many of the highest rated LB, OL, and DL guys in the portal have been signed. What's the strategy for next season? Are there guys on the roster who can step into starting roles and play well without starting experience?Poncho is back, thank goodness, but Pickard is gone as are Pregnon, World, and Hardy.I have faith in Dan and his process and I hope promoting from within, and standing pat in the portal, except for bringing in a punter and long snapper to date, works out.

3 hours ago3 hr No. Could be a best case scenario for us, but also could blow up and push Dante to the NFL. Everything hinges on him--if he bails then we're all in with Raiola as QB1, but I'm just not convinced he's the guy to lead us. Of course DM was damaged goods when he came here and despite his playoff struggles he's still had a great year. Of course the coaches are much better talent evaluators than any of us, so if this is the call then I'm on board 100%.
3 hours ago3 hr Author No. In reading the entire article, I realized that I skimmed over that Raiola was on campus! That's a pretty big deal. Definitely some mutual interest. Oregon is becoming QB-U for the NFL and people are noticing.
3 hours ago3 hr Moderator No. It seems LSU is moving on from Leavitt. This could be due to the Demond Williams debacle or Leavitt wanting to wait and see what happens with Dante. He could also sign with Miami. He is visiting them right now. Husan Longstreet is also in play for OBD, but Kiffin is hosting him this weekend. There are options if Moore goes pro. Raiola would be the least favorable because he’s still recovering from a knee injury which is why he might be willing to sit behind Dante as the article states.
2 hours ago2 hr No. Moga entered the portal on Sunday, joining Novosad. So, Dante is coming back? Or, they are pretty confident someone else is coming in to step in front of them?Akili Jr. is on the roster waiting. Bryson Beaver is coming in as a freshman who would seem unlikely to step in front.
2 hours ago2 hr Author No. Moga entered the portal?? I completely missed that! He'd probably be a good fit in the Big12, maybe with even with Texas Tech.
1 hour ago1 hr Moderator No. If Dante leaves for the NFL I would prefer Leavitt over Raiola. If Dante stays then Raiola since he's indicated the willingness to sit for a year.At the end of the day the chips will just fall where they may and Drew will need to adjust appropriately. That being said, if they're running the same offense next season I feel like it does better with a true dual threat QB. Nix did it the best, Gabriel was pretty good too. Dante unfortunately is a pure pocket passer, he doesn't do much with his legs other than a handful of designed QB runs and even then he's pretty slow despite him not being a huge guy.

1 hour ago1 hr Moderator No. I saw this as well. Oregon has done well with WR’s from Alabama G5 schools.
1 hour ago1 hr No. Blake Purchase to enter transfer portal (joining QB Luke Moga on Sunday)OLB Purchase's 352 defensive snaps were 14th for Oregon, 3rd among edge defendersWith 16 scholarship and 2 PWO transfers so far Oregon has lost players that saw a combined 879 defensive snaps and 621 offensive snaps, per PFF. There is definitely some error with jersey number misattribution but it's minimal.Oregon at 79 projected scholarship players in 2026Zach Grace is a backup tight-end, redshirt sophomore, from Kearney, Missouri
1 hour ago1 hr Author No. Blake Purchase's sack of the TT quarterback was a thing of beauty. He won't have to wait long for a new team.

Slot receiver with very quick moves. We already have burners in DKM, MacMillan, and Bair when he comes in. Having that ultra-quick slot route runner will be a huge addition.
1 hour ago1 hr No. When Raiola was committed to Georgia, several of the QB gurus on the board hoped that he would flip arguing that he was all arm talent and a statue in the pocket. That pretty much proved to be the case at Nebraska where he avoided having to sit on the bench behind Beck,, another QB in the same mold with even more arm talent. I think the Ducks are far better off with Dante should he choose to return. He should show improvement (if not many rushing yards) in his second year as a starter and that may work out just "ducky".
