It would be another off the field victory, much like the preseason championships they are so good at, and they would revel in the smells and tastes of their kind of success! It actually won't matter if they get Chip, Willie Taggart, Mike Riley or even were able to pull David Beaty out of his consulting job at Texas, it will lead to only one thing, a preseason celebration and then the inevitable!

Chip is finally having some success at UCLA, there's no way he'd want to go to the dumpster fire up North and start all over.  Plus he's smack in the middle of the best recruiting area in the Pac12...makes it easier for him to do his most detested task.

Chip isn't moving from UCLA at the moment. He is finally getting some traction with his roster and if he goes anywhere else he will have to start over again which is something he is frankly not good at. He is a slow program builder... he was given the keys to Oregon and told to run with it at a time Oregon was already fully built. 

 

Then... if Chip is fired NO ONE is going to hire him for some time. That would be his third job in a row that resulted in a firing.
