Looks like MC struggled to land a DC... hired Kevin Steele who had just accepted same position at Maryland... obviously settled for this guy as you wouldn't have your sights on a guy who takes a job 4 days prior... caneinsight.com is really kicking this hire around..

    Frankly...this is a better hire than I thought Mario would get.

    Seems Steele had a strong run at winning programs prior to being tossed aside by an incoming head coach at Auburn last year.

     

    He must know his stuff, but the question is can he meet Mario’s work effort and recruiting standards?

    This fan isn't impressed

     

    This guy has either been fired or demoted from every job he's had in the last 15 years, with the exception of LSU, where he left for a lateral position. Fans of most of the school's he was at speak poorly of him. He's almost 65 years old and cut his teeth in the early 90's, when it was a completely different game.

    Steele was in the running for the Auburn HC. Should have hired him instead of Hartsin and maybe will hire him when Hartsin is fired?
