  7. The last two seasons have been brutal with injuries! It’s a shame that we can’t see how good this Niners team is because the stars can’t stay on the field.
  8. Unfortunately, there’s no getting around it: Our Oregon football program had a lackluster performance against the Badgers over the weekend. Wisconsin’s defense held the Ducks to only 21 points, where Oregon entered as a 31.5-point favorite at home, and this was just a poor showing overall. The Badgers were thin in the secondary, down to their third quarterback on the ... Oregon Football: Time for the Ducks to Panic?
  9. LaMichael James had amazing moves and feet. Didn’t have Davison’s power, but he could go sideways as well as any I have seen.
  10. It's Dante that can't beat a zone team, not Will. I do think Stein should be leaning hard into our WR Coach for improvements to make to route trees though.
  11. Couldn't agree more with the article. The idea of Whittington being an every down RB never felt right. He's always been the change of pace back for a reason. Sone compare him to CJ Verdell, but Verdell had more power to drag people and more determination to get North to a fault. Davidson is magic to watch. He's a 230 lb guy with happy feet, the quickest choppiest feet I've ever seen, that allows him to constantly rebalance himself and adjust his lower body's leverage as the play develops, so he is always in a position to burst which ever way opens the most as, well as skinny up his feet to slide through the smallest gaps without getting tripped up. And he does this while staying behind his pads making forward progress though contact. That's what makes him special and the most efficient RB we have.

  13. Charles, at this point, an increase in scoring average and a decrease in points allowed is plenty of reasons for excitement. We have left first downs and points on the board this season. Even last Saturday DL left points off tbe board. 2 minutes left in game, ball on 11 after interception and penalty and we take a knee. Day, Cignetti and other coaches would have punched it in and run up the score. I expect our scoring average to go down the last 4 games. Weather will play a factor, maybe! 3 of the four teams we play have defenses. Only usc plays sandlot or street ball. As long as the defense keeps improving we could see a 7-6 game against the Hawkeyes. The last four games are playoff play in games and they could be decided by the defense. I do not have the high expectation for this team that i had before the Indiana game. This version of OBD's is still a work in progress. Not criticism just you dont know what version will show up If they play like they did against Whisky then they will win out and maybe get a CFP home game. A 13.4 per game scoring average travels well and translates to wins if the offense plays clean and runs the ball down our opponents throats. GO DUCKS.....

  16. Oregon 2025 average points scored per game: 41.3 points per game average (34.9 in 2024) Oregon 2025 average points allowed per game: 13.5 points per game average (19.4 in 2024) Now we have a long ways to go with the season, but it is interesting to look at. I understand the frustration with the scoring in the last game, (and vs. Indiana) but one of the many superb OBD forum members pointed out how our own penalties killed drives that would have scored points, not to mention the Special Teams TD from a fake punt called back. We should have scored more....or not? You see, that rain and wind did not creep up on the team; we heard all week of high wind gusts and downpours coming during the game. Our coaches knew that we would have ground-and-pound....and so did Wisconsin. It was a limited playbook for this game, IMHO. We need better QB play from Moore at tight-times, and better pass protection from our offensive tackles. I would like to think that with an NFL future on the line...they will be working on these elements for the last half of the season. (Six, seven or eight more games? That is my fantasy!) If someone has asked me at the beginning of the season if I would be happy with those averages at this point in the season? I would have taken both in a heartbeat. "Slinging in the Rain" (Brock Thomas)
  17. Yes Charles it is quite a confusing and contradictory year. They can absolutely get it done until they can’t. They either put up video game numbers or get stopped in their tracks. On Saturday when the weather was the best, they played their worst. As the weather got worse, they played their best. I thought the Stanford esque game I’d like to see them start with kind of got forced on them when the storm took the cutesy options away.
  18. How about $200,000 cash in a McDonald's bag to cast aside your lifelong Duck allegiance and transform Mike Parker style into a huge Beaver fan? You must watch all their games on TV and actually root for them, visit Reeser for at least one game per season, wear their gear out at least once per week (year-round), and regularly talk up Beaver baseball to all your friends and family. You must keep a John Canzano subscription and must bad mouth Nike whenever possible, and only refer to Oregon as the 'ucks?

  22. I like these quotes from Cam Newton about Lane Kiffin. It also speaks to Dan Lanning’s situation. He basically said that Lane needs to chart his own path at Ole Miss instead of following legends at blue blood programs. He and Lanning would be in rare air. There are only two men alive today who won their university’s first football national championship. There were three before this year but Bill McCartney recently passed away. 24. OREGON ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | MONDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2025 OREGON FOOTBALL | @oregonfootball Davison Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon running back Jordon Davison was announced on Monday as the Big Ten Freshman of the Week for his performance in the Ducks' 21-7 win over Wisconsin last Saturday. Davison becomes the third Duck to earn a Big Ten weekly honor this season, joining Jerry Mixon (Defense, Week 3) and Dante Moore (Offense, Week 5). Davison led the Ducks against the Badgers with a career-high 102 rushing yards while scoring each of Oregon's first two touchdowns. It was his second straight 100-yard rushing game after going for 100 the previous week at Rutgers. Davison leads the Ducks this season with 10 rushing touchdowns, most among FBS freshmen and tied for No. 7 nationally. He is now tied for third in UO single-season history for rushing touchdowns by freshmen, joining Royce Freeman (2014) as the only UO true freshmen to rush for double-digit scores in a season. The Santa Ana, Calif., native logged his second multi-TD game of the season and has scored at least one touchdown in seven of eight games in 2025. Davison and the No. 6 Ducks (7-1, 4-1 Big Ten) are on a bye this week before traveling to Iowa on Nov. 8.
