Why Oregon Ducks Are Perfect Fit For Transfer EDGE Bleu Dantzler
Question….if he is a “ talented athlete,” why did he appear in just one game. We’re talking Oregon State here. Was he injured?

5* OL Portal Target Visiting Oregon
Kiffin is doing Kiffin things. He’s trying to keep him from visiting Oregon. This is an excerpt from SDS. "Multiple reports that Seaton is expected to be in Oregon Monday, but his LSU itinerary stretches through Monday, including a private dinner at Supper Club Monday night, sources confirm. "Also of note: Tuesday is the last day to register for classes at LSU for spring semester, so the roster will be set for spring football. Ideally, he would sign and enroll Tuesday when the campus reopens after the holiday." Oregon Fans Are Absolutely the Best and EVERYONE Appreciates Having Oregon, and the Class They Bring, to the B1G Ten Conference
That was very kind of you...and what a first post! I enjoyed chatting with you recently, and invite you to offer your Big-10 perspectives in here often. You have thousands of Duck fans cheering for your team Monday night, and we look forward to great games with Indiana in the future. In fact...for the first time--the Hoosiers are traveling to Eugene to play the Diamond Ducks at PK Park later this spring. Great fun...

Oregon Fans Are Absolutely the Best and EVERYONE Appreciates Having Oregon, and the Class They Bring, to the B1G Ten Conference
As an IU fan, I enjoy interacting with fans of other teams on social media. Oregon fans have been so respectful and gracious. Oregon routinely has strong athletic teams but the fans are rarely braggadocious or rude. (OSU fans are quite the opposite). If Indiana gets a win, I almost always get a congratulations from an Oregon fan, and that makes my day. Alabama fans just accuse IU of cheating. I have also noticed that Oregon fans typically have a great breadth of sports knowledge. I respect that. OSU fans rarely, if ever, watch a game that doesn't involve their team. Alabama fans seem to watch only SEC games after they are highly inebriated. At least that is my experience in online discussions. No offense meant to fans of either team, if my statement does not apply. So thank you, University of Oregon community! I, too, miss the PAC-12, because I live in Phoenix, AZ and am also an ASU fan. However, the B1G Ten Conference is made better because you guys are in it, with your cool yellow and green colors, unique duck mascot, and powerful athletic prowess. Oh, also, great academics. Gotta respect all that!

College Basketball Players And Their NIL Payments
Why shouldn't they get some part of the billions that old men are making off of their sweat?

College Basketball Players And Their NIL Payments
It still amazes me that college kids are making millions when it should be about a scholarship and academics.

Holy Hoosiers! Six Degrees of Separation? How about One Degree?
Jon, thank you for sharing this. It was reported that Haines and Heatherman attended one another's weddings, interestingly. Heatherman did contact Haines, before the OSU bowl game, to get tips to beat OSU, it was also reported. Good stuff. If Indiana wins, this will be 50 years apart, that IU had an undefeated season and national title in basketball (1976 - the bicentennial) and tomorrow in football (2026 - this year is the Semiquincentennial).

Put them in the Oklahoma drill and best man wins!! So far, Oregon has shown restraint in what they are willing to pay for certain positions.

5* OL Portal Target Visiting Oregon
We recruited him pretty hard the first time around, so he knows Lanning and most of the staff. The only thing is...he is a left tackle, and so is 'Nacho coming in, and I think he was probably assumed to be the starter? I don't know if 'Nacho is open to sitting and learning for a year...

Why Oregon Ducks Are Perfect Fit For Transfer EDGE Bleu Dantzler
Former Oregon State Beavers EDGE Bleu Dantzler announced he is transferring to the Oregon Ducks. Despite a lack of playing time, Dantzler's decision could boost his trajectory as a player. The Oregon Ducks staff has been active in the portal as the transfer program looks to add key pieces to its roster. Former Oregon State Beavers EDGE Bleu Dantzler is one of the latest players joining the Ducks, staying in the state to continue his collegiate career. Dantzler spent just one season with the Beavers before entering the portal. Despite seeing game action one time in 2025, Oregon coach Dan Lanning and the Ducks are gaining a talented athlete who can develop into a key player. Oregon D-Line Issues?
In my article tomorrow I look a bit more broadly on the changes coming to the program. But to make it short... The first string all stayed and the second string would have the same role they have this year next year. And there probably aren't the NIL resources to pay everyone and the starters just got a whole lot more expensive. Probably the most expensive players in terms of NIL are 4th year starters because they could have gone to the draft but aren't and will need to be compensated for staying.

I read somewhere that he’s asking $2.5 million, a ton of money for a single lineman. If Oregon gets him I hope he’s worth it!

5* OL Portal Target Visiting Oregon
We could really use Jordan Seaton. He certainly has a lot of places to consider, but Oregon has shown the ability to put a lot of OL into the NFL, so maybe we have a good chance. https://duckswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/ducks/football/2026/01/18/oregon-football-jordan-seaton-transfer-visit/88243681007/

Oregon D-Line Issues?
I read somewhere in the last 24 hours that the starters for Indiana average 4.1 years, and Miami 4.3 years in their college career experience. Aside from physical maturity, I do think that helps the "smarts" of both teams. I believe it was a factor for Indiana's defense in opponent's tendencies and play recognition, and communication within the Hoosier 11.

Holy Hoosiers! Six Degrees of Separation? How about One Degree?
FWIW and if so not much. Should Indiana win the Natty, then Indiana would join UCLA as the ONLY schools to have an undefeated Natty in football and an undefeated Natty in basketball . Hoosiers undefeated football and national title season came in 1954 if my info is correct. No small task! GO IU!

Holy Hoosiers! Six Degrees of Separation? How about One Degree?
Preseason No. 10 Miami versus Preseason No. 20 Indiana for all of the CFB marbles. Who knew? NEMO = Latin for 'Nobody.' COINCIDENCE - Two or more events coming together in a surprising, unexpected way ... Of course, with both Miami and Indiana theoretically in the running for a title matchup, Monday night's championship game is not outside the probability of happening, but it's close. If you could have placed a preseason $1000 bet on the Canes vs. the Hoosiers playing for a title, you could be in Hawaii today, shopping for an ocean and golf view condo. Both Curt Cignetti and Mario Cristobal coached for Nick Saban at Alabama. With Saint Nick's coaching tree, this is not a big surprise. However ... Indiana DC Bryant Haines and Miami DC Corey Heatherman coached for Curt Cignetti at JMU, with Haines reporting to Heatherman. Haines was the Best Man at Heatherman's wedding. ... Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza, Jr., grew up less than five miles from the Miami campus, and was a Hurricanes fan growing up. He was disappointed when Miami did not give him a chance to join the football team as a walk-on. ... Indiana is trying to join the 1894 Yale team as the only college football team to finish a season 16-0. Mendoza was committed to Yale before receiving an offer from and attending Cal, where he received his B.A. in three years. ... In October of 2024, with the College GameDay crew in Berkeley for its first visit to Cal, Mendoza went up against Mario Cristobal and 2024 Heisman Trophy finalist quarterback Cam Ward. Mendoza, pressured on 43% of his drop-backs, threw for 285 yards and two TDs, leading Cal to a 25-point lead. Cal lost, 39-38. But among others, Indiana's new coach, Curt Cignetti, with Fernando's brother Alberto on the Hoosiers squad, took notice of Fernando's performance. ... Fernando's Dad, Doctor Fernando Mendoza, Sr., was on the crew team at Brown University. His Mom, Elena, graduated from Miami, where she was a star tennis player and earned undergraduate and MBA degrees. ... Doctor Mendoza played high school football at Miami's Christopher Columbus High School. He played on the O-line with Miami coaches Mario Cristobal and Alex Mirabal. Seven Christopher Columbus graduates will be on the champ game sidelines. ... Angelo Pizzo wrote the screenplays for the movies 'Hoosiers' and 'Rudy.' Pizzo grew up one mile from the Indiana campus in Bloomington. Like his Dad, Pizzo graduated from IU, attended all the Indiana games with his father through mostly bad times, and has been an Indiana football season ticket holder since his graduation. Among many others, Angelo knows that you can't make this stuff up. ... Oregon D-Line Issues?
I don't know why so many of the D line backups have left. Could it be money? Could it be playing time? Did the staff feel that those guys are not top notch? We are not going to know those answers. My guess is that when players are in the system for a couple of years and they are not the stars like they were in high school, they start thinking the grass might be greener somewhere else. But also consider this: in the past seasons under Lanning, he brought in transfers that beat out the current players on the team. What does that tell you? I won't make a call on it until I see how well the transfers are playing at other teams, if they get on the field.
