  2. Another good strategy. Not just because of field position and weather, but also because Camden Sappingdonado is in a slump. OBD either need to punt or sacrifice a live chicken before the game to ward off the evil kicking spirits.
  3. It definitely makes sense for Fisch to punch out and for JS to backfill him.
  4. Oregon 42-6 2 to 2 sacks 225 passing
  5. Great feedback everyone. I think we are all of a similar mindset here. Hopefully this is a great minds think a like situation and Dan the man has some answers with Will, Dante and the rest of the Offense.
  6. Jonathan Smith has recruiting relationships on the West Coast and he ran a pretty good offense for the fuskies before coming to OSU and completely turning that program around. It seemed like he went to MSU because he had to. Not because he wanted to. I hope he doesn't go to Seattle because OBD might not be able to steal as many of their local recruits if he comes back.
  7. Great stuff everybody! I think to sum up a general them, the Ducks just need to be the freaken Ducks! Aggressive play calling with passive execution has been a disastrous mix. Tone down the 4th and go for its and bump up the self confidence at QB seems to be a winning recipe to me. I think the Ducks should lean into whatcha gonna do about it plays with their whatcha gonna do about it players. Sadiq, Dak, Hill and Davison are problems. Make Iowa have to solve them. I love the punter/ returner chess match that could develop. I say punt even in field goal range and make Iowa live on their own goal line. Force them to get a couple first downs just to get back to the 25. I think this game comes down to Oregon's state of mind. Swagger without arrogance, caution without being timid taking the win without hoping for it is what I want to see. I think we do and the Ducks take a huge step towards maturing into a legit championship contender this week.
  8. Part of me want to say Iowa wins 16-10. 😣 but... Let's go DUCKS! 35-6 3 take-aways 4 sacks 226 passing yards 1 defensive touchdown in there
  9. Let's be real here...the Beevrats could not be any less punchy than they are now
  10. 💯 I too am baffled. Making the playoff and losing in the first round is better than any other non-playoff scenario imo. Anything can happen in a tournament and being able to say “we’ve made the playoff every year” would be something very few programs will be able to say to recruits. Certainly better than talking about losing the Frosted Flakes Bowl.
  11. Love your hot takes, but I would guess if MSU opens up, it’s because JS gets fired. He feels a bit damaged to me. I like your OC suggestions, I’m not particularly attached to Stein personally. What is it, year 2? Pppht. There will be absolute recruiting carnage once the coaching dominos start to fall. We could lose a few if Stein goes, but there will be a TON out there to be had.

  16. The photo was taken in Upper Nile State in 2011 just after the formation of South Sudan. The guy was utterly confused as to why a random white guy was walking around his remote village and why I wanted to take his photo.
  17. Ducks "survive" WINNING one hard nosed game. 23-16. 1 TO 2 SKS 189 Pass Yds
  18. I am not sure that Stein will leave--even with all the openings. If his alma-mater, Louisville opened up, then I see him leaving for that for certain. But beyond that...he might just use job offers to increase his contract at Oregon--which I am in favor of to hopefully keep him here longer.

  22. Oregon Ducks’ three keys to victory against Iowa Hawkeyes Offensive coordinator Will Stein needs to create his best script of the season against Iowa to get his unit back in the rhythm they were in early in the season. It’s easier said than done, but we have seen Oregon start fast against some of the best teams in the country, so it doesn’t seem like too much to ask for.
  23. CBS writer thinks Ducks are built to solve Iowa, Kinnick StadiumSwimming contrary to this flash flood of national negativity about the Ducks ("Who have they beaten?" "What's their best win?" "That November schedule is so tough.") is CBS writer Cody Nagel, who writes, "The Ducks have repeatedly shown they can handle hostile environments, giving them a blueprint to silence the Kinnick crowd while putting pressure on Iowa's weaknesses." Every game is different, and how this one unfolds is a script not yet written. That's the beauty of sports. "The most pivotal thing is us being able to win at the point of attack, dominate every play in and out and being tone setters," Ducks offensive lineman Emmanuel Pregnon said. The Ducks understand the assignment. They know the weather will be cold, the stadium will be loud, and the locker room is pink. If they're able to shut all that out as they have before, they have more talent, more speed, and an offense with better balance and more weapons.
