  2. I read an interesting article somewhere that Franklin's move to VT would actually hurt Indiana going forward. A bunch of Curt Cignetti's star players are all from the Virginia area...future recruits may be more inclined to stay in state now that there's a well-established coach there.
  3. Looking at next year's schedule they will be welcomed additions.
  4. This Saturday, Georgia won't lose to Charlotte. The game vs GT is being played in Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Dawgs will have as many, if not more, fans in attendance than GT. UGA QB Gunner Stockton has the best passing stats among SEC QBs in SEC contests this season. He has every bit of the same moxie that GT QB Haynes King has. Unlike Carson Beck, the team has Stockton's back. Tech, but for a bad, terrible, awful non-call, would have lost at Wake Forest. The close win at home over Clemson was big at the time. Now? I think that Pitt will give Tech all it can handle this Saturday. But it is a rivalry game, so ... Bama holds the champ game tiebreaker over UGA and would have to lose to Auburn for Georgia to be in the champ game. Or, Texas has to defeat A&M. If this happens, I don't know how the SEC tiebreaker would work. After last season, I think Kirby Smart would as soon play a 1st round game at home than play a 13th conference game for an SEC title. Of course, even without an SEC title, Georgia could stay ranked 4th and have a PO bye.

  13. I could see Georgia losing two more... No way they get in with 3 losses? Georgia Tech should have beat them last year aside from multiple awful calls that let them back into that game. GT is better this year, is playing at home, is playing for a CFP bid and has a chip on their shoulder from last year... Then if Georgia gets Bama in the SEC championship they could lose again...
  14. I don't think tosu is a lock to beat Indy, so not going to sweat anything our seeding as long as it is 1 - 8.

  21. There is no defense for the perfect offense, which USC is capable of executing. We need to realize that USC's DL is much more stout than Iowa's. We could easily find ourselves down by two scores early if we try to impose our will with runs up the middle on 1st and second down with USC daring us with a loaded box and end up 3rd and long every series of downs. Yes we will ultimately wear down USC and holes will start showing up, but if it turns into track meet wasting drives early could put us too far behind for that to matter. Let's not go all Mario Cristobal here just because we have a good running game. Every play, every formation, every snap on offense needs to keep the defense guessing run or pass and who is getting the ball. Executing run or pass out of that should be about as random as rolling dice. Above all our Ducks have to want it more than USC and I expect USC to want it a lot. If we want it more each and every snap from the get go, I do expect USC to wilt at some point and we pull out a convincing win.
  22. There are two teams that worry me: tOSU and Georgia. Those teams just seem more complete than the others. I hope Oregon avoids those two teams as long as possible if they get in.
  23. I believe this will be a very close game as they have one of the most underrated qb's in the nation. Couple that with a decent run game and two elite receivers that go get the ball, should be close. I realize we have the top pass d, but a few of those guys are young and they will be going against a qb that can really extend plays and looks down field really well. Along with running ability. I think we struggle with that kind of offense so, it going to be who 's d hold up the best.
  24. Oregon commit Anthony "Tank" Jones receives 5th Star in Top247 UpdateMobile (Alabama) St. Paul's Episcopal edge Anthony "Tank" Jones saw his rating move up from a 94 score to a 98. He climbed up from 247Sports' No. 43 overall ranking to No. 19. Moving to No. 19 puts him into the five-star tier that is reserved for the nation's Top 32 recruits. The ranking increase now makes him Oregon's top-ranked recruit in the Top247 rankings - and gives the Ducks three total with five-star status. He is followed closely behind by safety Jett Washington (No. 22) and offensive lineman Immanuel Iheanacho (No. 25) in the five-star tier. ‌ Two more Duck commits are five-star recruits in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite rankings. Jalen Lott ranks as 247Sports' No. 33 overall player - one spot outside the Top247 five-star tier. Tight end Kendre Harrison is also a composite five-star - he moved up to No. 36 in the Top247 on Wednesday. 247Sports updated its rankings ahead of National Signing Day, and Oregon edge commit Anthony "Tank" Jones is among the biggest movers.
  25. Oregon commit Xavier Lherisse receives 4th Star in Top247 Update247Sports revealed its big ratings update on Wednesday, two weeks ahead of National Signing Day for the 2026 class. Among the changes is one future Duck who has been bumped up from three-star to four-star status. The Ducks entered the day with 19 commits in the 2026 cycle and 15 being four-star recruits. Melbourne (Florida) Eau Gallie safety Xavier Lherisse now becomes the 16th Duck commit with a four-star rating by 247Sports. He was bumped up from an 89 score to a 90 on Wednesday, putting him in the four-star tier. 247Sports updated its rankings ahead of National Signing Day, and Oregon safety commit Xavier Lherisse has moved up to four-star status.
